The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, this location is one of the cleanest I have visited.

I did find one in Bridge City, and this review is for Brick Oven Pizza. The pizzas are well done but quite small. 8, 10, and 14 inches wide, also calzones. Thin crust at the edge. The Hunny and I shared a Razorback, aka a meat lovers pizza, and the Girl had her own Chicken Ranch. "I've had pizza with ranch dressing on it, but I've never had a pizza with ranch dressing IN it." Translation: the tomato sauce was replaced by ranch dressing. I enjoyed the strong taste of the pepperoni & sausage. The food is good, but these should be treated as personal pizzas. Now for the less important things. Brick Oven Pizza is the prominent tenant in this small complex on the main highway, so it's easy to find. Smallish interior, half full at a prime time on Saturday. Menu is well organized. Hipster servers did their job and that's it. DARK interior, and before you think "romantic", remember the neon beer signs on the walls and sports on the TV and AC/DC on the sound system. Brick Oven Pizza appears to try to go opposite of the solid middle class vibe of Bridge City. So there you have it. A small gourmet pizza in a dining experience unique to most of Orange County TX. Be prepared.

I wish we could have just sat and worked through their whole menu... we'll definitely be back next time to sample more. On this first go-round we had the meatball apps and boudain eggrolls. The meatballs were very tender and well seasoned. You only get theee per order but they are a nice size, not tiny. The eggrolls were delish and paired wonderfully with the mustard dipping sauce, but I thought they could use a boost of spice in the boudain - between the fried wrappers and the mustard, the nuanced flavors of the boudain itself gets a bit lost. Still excellent. For the beer we opted for No One Asked, which is described as a brown ale but drinks more like a porter and was a nice choice with all of the apps and pizza. We settled on the Meat Machine for a shareable pizza but I would have also loved to try the Gochu-Gang and the Herbed Ricotta, but they all sound creative and tasty... so many options, so little time! If you haven't been here yet - DO IT!

I had been twitterpated (IYKYK...watch Bambi) back in 1997 in this area by a sassy little blonde. We were in town to visit her parents and were looking for something different to try to take them to get a bite to eat. They were so excited to try something new as the local Pizza Inn was their go to for pies (they are 82). Needless to say they loved it and we did too. The food was good the beer as excellent and I loved the vibe. Well done Nederland. Wish it had been here when we lived here. Cheers!

We started with the Bruschetta breadstick at the recommendation of our server, Lucas and they did not disappoint at all. They were full of flavor. We ordered the Favorite pizza and I felt it lacked some flavor. The crust was thin and crispy which was good, but we should have ordered a different pizza. The description said it was a turkey pizza and I thought it would have been crumbled turkey meat. Instead, it was warmed deli turkey. Not a fan. I should have orderd the chicken bacon ranch. Maybe next time. The biggest disappointment was the cannoli. When I see cannoli on the menu I get very excited because I don't get them very often. This was NOT a cannoli. It was a flour tortilla stuffed with something - definitely not cannoli cream and it was warm. Be aware - you will not get a traditional cannoli. I would go back to try and different pizza, but I will definitely not be getting another "cannoli". They should change the name/description.

At one time, I wrote on Yelp "I remain shocked that there are so few pizza places in the Coonie…read moreTriangle." I may have an answer to this dilemma. We went to one of the few, Brick Oven Pizza, and there was lots of seating available and few people there. Now, although we went on a Friday, it was a little before supper officially starts, so I don't know about later Friday nights or all day Saturday, when a big game is shown on TV, or after the Nederland High Bulldogs play. But it is possible that pizza places are just not something that people in Southeast Texas go to. It wasn't because of the bad pie. We had a meat lovers pizza, and it was superb. The dough was a good thickness, there was a good variety of meat, and it was cooked well. The Hunny and girl were working hard to eat as much as they could, it was so good. Naturally, I out-ate them all :-) What about the rest of it? It was typical, what we're accustomed to. Booths and tables, a little dark, sports on the TV. Service was good too. So what's up, SETX? Would you want more like this? I'm no entrepreneur, and restaurants are risky, especially in a collapsing economy. But Brick Oven Pizza appears to be a good place to $upport.
