My friends and I were really looking forward to an evening where we could catch up, visit, and…read moreenjoy a good meal together. We chose The Station on a Saturday night and weren't surprised when we were told there would be about a 30-minute wait. We told the hostess we were going to the bar to have a drink while we waited for our table. After waiting 45 minutes, we checked on our table only to be told that because they saw us sitting at the bar, they had given our table away. No one came to let us know it was ready, despite us asking them to. That was incredibly disappointing. Since we had already waited so long, we decided to stay and order food at the bar, hoping another table would open up. Unfortunately, we were never offered a table even though the restaurant was now less than half full. We were never seated at a table for our meal. The six bar stools were arranged in a straight line, and I ended up at one end of the bar. Between the distance and the loud noise level, I couldn't even carry on a conversation with four of my friends--the very reason we had gotten together. The service continued to disappoint. Our group of six ordered at the same time, yet four meals were served first. The last two of us, who had each ordered hamburgers, didn't receive our food until after the other four had completely finished eating. No explanation was offered, and no one attempted to make the situation right. To add to the frustration, two of us ordered the exact same drink, but they were served in noticeably different-sized glasses while we were both charged the same price. The food itself was good and offered some unique menu options, which is the reason I'm giving more than one star. However, the overall experience was frustrating. What should have been a fun evening catching up with friends turned into a series of disappointments. Good food can only make up for so much when the service and overall experience fall this short. Sadly, after this experience, I'm not sure I'll be returning defiantly not with more than three people.

It was an American Pale Ale. I've had Schlafly APA. My favorite is 4 Hands' City Wide. Loop's APA tasted extremely bland. No hop flavor to it. And a touch of sweetness. Very strange. Even stranger, it was room temperature. For food, I had the steak wrap with a side salad. The ranch dressing was tasty. The steak was dry and bland. Definitely need something to help it out. All in all, I was not impressed. I want to go back and try the pizza. I may have just ordered the wrong thing.

We sat at the bar, ordered take out, had a cocktail and engaged with some of our fellow patrons, but especially the bartender. Cool guy, very helpful. In fact everyone there was very helpful. I wish they'd stay open a little later though (they close at 8pm during the week). Maybe just even the bar area. There aren't too many nicer bars in McCook and this could be a good one to have a cocktail after 8pm. But I'm sure there's a good reason. As I said, best restaurant in McCook currently.

I had read on another review about the Chinese food and assumed it was wrong info but nope! It's both Italian food and Chinese food. There was daily specials, a huge menu, pizza, pasta, all the things. I read on their website their Meatball sub was voted #3 on sandwiches to eat in NE so had to go with that. Switched out my side for a salad with house dressing that was so good. The meatball sub unfortunately didn't live up to the hype for me. It was ok but not great. The salad was delish and my friends pizza was massive so all and all we had a great experience. I would go back to try the Chinese since it's a unique choice. Really comfortable seating inside is half tiny pizza spot with booths and half old comfy bar. So choose your adventure from Italian to Chinese and diner to bar ;)

She brought my water while I looked for a bit at the menu. I decided on the rib basket with fried okra for my side. My food was delivered to the table a few minutes later. The ribs were good but not great. I prefer mine with a little less "bite". They had a refrigerated sauce added when plated which made the meat seem cold even though it wasn't. But they were still good. The fried okra was perfect! Crispy & crunchy but not dry. My waitresses was great.
