Love the food. Thin-crust pizza with all toppings is very good. Nice people too. The decor is retro which is nice.

I walked up with my dog planning to tie him to a light post while I ran inside to order, but before I could even get to the door the manager noticed us and invited us to wait in a covered alcove so my dog could stay dry and comfortable. It immediately made me feel welcome. While waiting, I grabbed a drink ,.. they have cocktails, draft beer, and bottled options ....and the whole place had such an easygoing, friendly vibe. The pizza itself was the real deal: true New York-style and absolutely delicious. Great people, great atmosphere, and food that lives up to it. I'll definitely be coming back.

Nicky's is on Main Street and though one might be worried about parking, there are plenty of spaces available. We parked in the lot by the Ice House Amphitheater. Our friends got a spot right in front of the restaurant. Our server was pleasant and after initially being seated by the window, we requested a move closer to the fire place. We ordered our usual: Grandma's with sausage and mushrooms on one half. When the pie arrived after about 15 minutes, it looked great. The sauce at Nicky's is a bit tangy and slightly sour, which we prefer. The crust is thin and slightly crunchy with a nice chew included. The large pie is cut in eight pieces, so each is us got two nice sized slices. The restaurant is cozy and features two dining areas. There are loots of pizza places to choose from and Nicky's is too good not to check out.

I ate there tonight (2.26.2024) It's a spot we go to a lot since it is so close to use. But I…read moreactually use the delivery service more than I go there when I am at the house alone. Someone down below said sometimes it gets five stars from there and sometimes, not so much. That is reflected in the overall rating, it seems. I gave it four stars overall because when they're on, it's a great place to eat. I am not an overall fan of pizza, but I love the pepperoni pizza from here. Most of the time I get a fried chicken sandwich with homestyle fries (they have to be homestyle) and it is excellent. Tonight was busier than expected for a Monday, but I do worry about them keeping this store open. They once had others in Gaston and Pelion, but the one in Swansea is the last one currently open. There's not a lot of ride by traffic at its location unless you see the sign and turn off of 321 to check it out. We started with the fried pickles, a favorite appetizer that we get there. Tonight, they were overfried and hard to eat. I got a Chef Salad and it was good as always. It was very fresh and crisp and the ranch dressing, which I believe is homem made, was excellent as always. It was very affordable and the serving was huge, more than I could eat, with a huge helping of ham and turkey. I took a photo of it, but it's blurry. The picture, not the actual salad.

Food was made fresh .. and piping hot. Our order was Togo so we sat in the car and went to work ... PIZZA is my favorite so I'm very critical ... but to my pleasure this was delicious .. My only concern was on the cheese half there could have been more sausage and next time I'll ask for extra cheese.. If you are ever in the Swansea area stop in... Also shout out to the staff very friendly and spoke to us even when just leaving to make delivery's

We found this place on a tourist website of places to go in the city and figured we'd stop in to…read moretry some brews and maybe lunch. We made the stop after taking a tour of the state capitol - which we also highly recommend! The place is huge with ample seating inside and out. And the setting? It couldn't be better! Especially for anyone who likes airports, airplanes, old buildings, trains, or just unique locations. The food... we ordered the Garlic Knots, Mediterranean Pizza, and a Pepperoni Pizza, and were not disappointed. The Garlic Knots - freshly made, good quality dough. We almost went back and ordered a second order of 'em. The pizzas? We loved them! My son said the bottom could've been a little bit crisper, but otherwise, the quality of the ingredients was good, and both tasted great. The Brews... we enjoyed two flights, not bad overall. Our favorite one out of the bunch was the ESB. It's their Red Ale, and it was a good one! The raspberry sour was also a pretty good drink. The other brews, not bad, but also not the best we've had. Overall, a great place to stop when visiting the city, and it's a great place for friends, families, old and young. I would gladly stop in again if I'm ever in the area.

We enjoyed some great beers and there is something for all types of beer preferences as well. They also have some wines available if you are not a beer person. We will definitely come back next time we are in town.

I was invited to Veneziano's on a Friday evening, and I couldn't believe how busy it was. Even with…read morethe crowd, we only waited about 15 minutes, which wasn't bad at all. We started with the meatballs as an appetizer. I added some freshly grated Parmesan, cut them into bite-sized pieces, covered them with the sauce, and dug in. They were flavorful and made for a great start to the meal. Since we were ordering for the table, we got a half Pepperoni & Black Olive pizza and a half Hawaiian. Left to my own devices, I probably would've ordered something different, but that's what everyone wanted. The Hawaiian came topped with ham, pineapple, and bacon, giving it a nice balance of sweet and savory flavors. It was satisfying, and after two slices I was full. To finish the meal, I ordered the gelato. It comes with two scoops, and you can mix flavors, so I chose Belgian Chocolate and Vanilla. They paired really well together, and the portion was generous--so generous that I couldn't finish it. I'd definitely come back, but next time I want to try their Margherita or plain cheese pizza. That's usually how I judge a pizzeria, and I'm curious to see how they do when the ingredients and crust are the stars of the show.
