My family was craving wings, and this restaurant came up in our search. Unfortunately, choosing to…read moreeat here was a decision we would later regret. A more fitting name might be "Wild West Wingz and Bar," because it definitely felt more like a bar than a family restaurant. There's a reason the interior is so dark--it seemed to hide how dirty the place was. The restrooms were especially filthy. Considering the premium prices they charge, customers should expect a clean environment. The staff, however, was friendly. I ordered an iced tea, and our server actually advised me against it, saying it "nasty", that I probably wouldn't like it, and that it came from a bag. I appreciated her honesty and ordered water instead, only to later discover they charge for tap water. When ordering, I asked for recommendations between their sandwiches and the fish tacos. The fish tacos were recommended, so I gave them a try. When the food arrived, the tortillas were cold, and the fish had been chopped up in the tacos. Later, the waitress asked how I liked them, and I told her they were mediocre. She then explained that the kitchen only cooks one fish fillet and splits it between all three tacos (what!). She even commented that she wished they didn't do that and that the tacos were larger. For $14, receiving what amounts to a single fish fillet divided into three tacos is disappointing. Between the lack of cleanliness, questionable value, and underwhelming food, I CANNOT recommend this place, go elsewhere.

The new Carolina Gold BBQ is awesome, but I think it's only available for a limited time. The place has loads of potential. But no... not ever again. Tonight (12/16/2022) I placed an order online for a girl's night in. Waited the approximate time for pick up just to wait an extra 10 minutes when someone finally got to me at the counter. When I noticed the soda machine had flooded, I notified the employee who frantically looked for my ticket and told me it hadn't even been started yet. He promptly tried to drain the reservoir of soda mixture, but left the flooded area on the floor. They were out of several sodas, namely the best, Dr. Pepper, Sprite, & Orange Fanta. The counter where orders are handed out was sticky. There were a few indoor tables & chairs - all mostly taken by customers waiting for their orders. Parking gets crowded at around 7PM & some of the spaces are tight. The garlic Parmesan flavor is wet, not a dry rub like my daughter was expecting. She wasn't crazy about it. The fries were cold when I got to my Jeep. The carrots & celery sticks were mostly fresh, though. Good homemade-style Ranch for dipping. + Medium 8 pc Boneless Wing Combo (w/veggie sticks, Ranch dip & 20 oz. drink) = $9.99 + Small 6 pc Wing Combo (w/fries, Ranch dip & 20 oz. drink) = $8.79 Overall: Passing on this place in Hobbs, NM.
