I am writing to formally report an extremely troubling experience I had at one of your locations on…read moreAugust 4, 2026, at approximately between 7:50pm- 8:00 pm.. I visited the Popeyes located at 11850 Elam Road, Balch Springs, TX 75180--a store I frequent because it is close to my home. Unfortunately, the service I received during this visit was not only unacceptable but deeply disrespectful. When I entered the restaurant, I stood reviewing the menu. While I was deciding on my order, a drive thru customer walked inside and expressed frustration to the front counter employee, explaining that she had been asked to drive forward but had not received her food. The employee responded dismissively, leaning on the register and appearing uninterested in assisting her. Her demeanor suggested she might have been impaired, as she swayed and leaned heavily on the counter. When I approached to place my order, I asked the employee if she was having a good day. Her response was sarcastic and rude. When I asked how she was "helping me," she continued with an attitude. I then requested another employee, but the second employee did not attempt to take my order. I asked for the manager, who came to the counter but did not address the situation or the behavior. At that point, the front counter employee referred to customers--including myself and the drive thru customer--as "this bitch" and "their asses." I was shocked that such language was used openly in front of other employees and the manager, who did nothing to correct or discipline the employee. As I left the store, the employee again said "those bitches," and when I asked who she was referring to, she claimed she meant the other customer. This behavior is unacceptable for any employee, especially one representing Popeyes in uniform and on the clock. I also want to express that both the drive thru customer and I are Black, while the employees involved were Hispanic. The lack of respect, dismissiveness, and hostility we experienced raises serious concerns about whether bias played a role in how we were treated. Because of this incident, I had to drive 2.9 miles to another Popeyes at 9540 Lake June Rd, Dallas, TX 75217, where I received excellent service without disrespect or hostility. The contrast between the two locations was stark. I am requesting that this incident be investigated thoroughly. Customers deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and professionalism. No one should be subjected to verbal insults or discriminatory behavior in any establishment, especially from employees and managers entrusted with representing your brand. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing how this situation will be addressed.

It wasn't the best customer service I've had, but it wasn't the worst customer service I've had. I'm from the service industry, so I understand. The only suggestion I have for the staff is when you stack to-go items, please don't stack the heavy boiled food onto the plastic fried food. It squishes the food. The crawfish flavor medium was decent. I'd go back. I love crawfish so I've had a lot of different places, so i have my favorites. This one seems to be the closest one to me. The cashier scans the code but nothing comes off and proceeds to say "that's why I asked you if it was for points" with a passive aggressive attitude. I'm not thinking much about it because I'm thinking when I scan the QR code it should automatically tell them. She scans it again and says "5.94" and I just pay and drive off but I turn around and I'm like something isn't right. 6.00 for a mash potatoes is ridiculous. So I go into the store and let the manager know an (Indian man) that I was basically rung up wrong he proceeded to tell me that I have to tell them what I'm using the points for and I'm like why do I have to do that and it says it right here what I'm using the points for on the screen. The cashier from the drive thru window says it took off the mashed potatoes but I'm like that's not what I clicked on in the app it literally says it right here as I'm holding my phone. At this point things are tense and I just asked for a refund the manager gives me the refund of 2.00 and I say "im missing change 5.94-3.94 is 2.20 just give me rest of my change" he catches an attitude and proceeds to slide the change on the counter and tells me not to raise my voice but at this point they are literally lying and playing games so I ask for my receipt so I can be on my way. The cashier chimes in and says "I gave her the receipt" And I'm like "no you didn't because if you did I would have it and you've had a messed up attitude since you opened that door". The manager acts like he doesn't want to give me my receipt. I ask two more times before he decides to slam the receipt on the counter and proceeds to tell me to "get the fuck out and go fuck myself and everything else." All because of their mistake. As I get in my car I look at the receipt they rung the order up incorrectly reason to why my points were not taken off it doesn't even show where the "mashed potatoes" were redeemed. So it's a lot of dishonesty and no accountability going on. And as a manger for him to act like that during a situation that could have been a quick fix he allowed his pride to get in the way. Thinking raising his voice and cussing would cause me to back down on the accuracy of the service they are providing.
