Our table slanted down a bit, and that was a little awkward but the benefit was that condensation rolled to the end instead of into our laps. Also my chair had two metal dog bowls underneath that made a racket whenever I moved the chair. Our server was friendly but over shared often. For my meal I had the salmon with bourbon glaze. It was cooked properly and had good flavor. The lettuce leaf under it was different; I think I could have done without. The fish came with my choice of two sides and I picked the green beans and the cornbread stuffing. Both were quite salty. The green beans were not very green and overcooked. There were two elbow macaroni mixed in. The cornbread was mushy and covered in gravy. It tasted fine, I just would have preferred more texture. Both beers were very good. I had a sour to start that was like a very tart pink lemonade. The pink color came from blueberries but I'm not sure I detected any blueberry flavor. My second beer was That Coconut Porter and it was mellow and smooth with good coconut flavor and nice dark color. There was lots of street parking and many shops and restaurants in the area. A band began playing in the taproom next to the restaurant at some time. Also a large outdoor space that was full of kids running around playing as I was going home. Looked like a fun place for everyone.

Catching a Braves game on the balmy patio while live music plays on a Friday nite is an awesome way to start the weekend! Update - I love giving "4s" or "5s" and I only gave a "3" originally bc the food was not hot and the steel town spuds were just half their normal size portion. But it could've been a new cook or short-staffed on runners. So that's on me - I should have told my very attentive and friendly server so she could correct. And I did not give them a chance so that's on me bc we all need to grant grace. So in faith I will up it to a 4. My new policy will be "BEFORE you yelp... ask for help"

There has been some new owners recently so the menu changed a bit, but i find the quality of the food to always be spectacular for a 'sports bar' where i want both super high quality food and a chance to see one more more games on decent quality TVs, and they do this really well, one really large tv and some mid sized in the bar area gets you so you can see 2 or 3 games at once. I would say though, they need to get two more TVs mounted behind the bar area so there would be more options for games, but compared to many sports bars in this area, it far and away stands out as the great balance between food and the game. The wings here - off the chain good. Some of the best queso here, the wraps are good, shrimp is amazing - they do a pretty good job as a bar having some healthy options along with your typical fare, and I love that.

It's a sports bar located in the Publix shopping center on the corner, with a covered patio if you want to sit outside. Just an FYI they allow pets on the patio. I'm not a fan of that, as I don't believe dogs belong at restaurants, but that's another topic. The place was nice. When we arrived, there weren't many people there, so we were seated right away. We ordered, and our food came out quickly. The tuna sandwich on ciabatta was amazing it reminded me of a good-quality, real deli sandwich! My wife loved the grouper tacos and sweet potato fries. Our son finished all of his chicken quesadilla, so I'd say it passed the kid test. Everyone was friendly and helpful, the food was very good, and we'll definitely be back. Give Windward Tavern a try if you're in the area!
