I really have to shout out one employee in particular who was extremely helpful. The name on their name tag said Cal, I believe. they had colored hair. It was my first time there. I ordered their calzone thinking it was gonna be good. Until I took a few bites out of it with chunks of hair from one of the workers that made it. It also tasted like somebody's body odor went inside the fillings when I took another bite. I went yesterday and their customer service was ok. TERRIBLE SERVICE AND MANAGER (Joe) SUCKS I called in a pizza around 10:00 am Saturday morning (I wanted to ensure its timely arrival) for my sons birthday. I specifically reiterated that I needed it delivered at 1:40 to the party and 15 little kids would be waiting. I received a call at 1:30 (10 minutes before it should have been delivered) stating "the delivery driver quite and they could not deliver". So... I left my sons party and drove across town to get the food (I had already paid for) for the party. once I arrived at Pizza Guys in Chico @ 1:45 (5 minutes after the pizzas should have been delivered), I was told that they had not started the pizzas yet (WHAT THE F*CK). I was super upset and the manager JOE offered me a free cookie as consolation. I told him to cancel the order, he told me "ok, were really busy anyways...". Anyways, I missed a the majority of my sons 4th birthday trying to find another place to make our pizza. Thanks! MO (current owner) I hope you can make this right... We recently moved to Chico in March and this was the third pizza delivery we tried. The pizza came in 30 mins, it was hot, had a good amount of toppings , the thin crust was good and it wasn't greasy. Normally I order Calzones for my family. That would be 4 of them. I have had a lot of Calzones from many places and I enjoy the ones made here. BUT!! The last 3 visits for some odd reason the cost of the Calzones keeps changing. I asked have they increased their price and they tell me it is what the computer puts out. The menu price hasn't changed! Why are they costing more? Now to add more to this, the service has gotten worse with each visit to the point it SUCKS! I appreciated that very much, because I do in fact enjoy the pizza here. I just received my order, in a timely matter for a Saturday, and everything was perfect this time. I don't typically review chain pizza places... I've learned that at most the pizza is decent though ultimately forgettable. Pizza Guys is about the same but with two huge exceptions; First I spoke with a middle eastern sounding gentleman (I feel OK saying this because I am also a middle eastern sounding man) and ordered the pizzas. I then had to call him right back to change the order. Because he had already cooked the pizzas he instead gave us a small pizza of the desired type for free! That's worth five stars for the effort and my appreciation. Second their cheesy bacon bread is amazing! Pizza Guys has really good pizza. In fact, the pizza deserves five stars. For a pizza business that only delivers and does not have a sit down restaurant the pizza is expensive but it is so good that it still deserves five stars. You get a pizza that is covered with toppings. The sauce takes great. I really like the crust and the leftovers seems to taste even better the next day. However, Pizza Guys isn't just pizza and that's where they lose a star. They have chicken wings, salads, pastas and more. Most of it is good but nothing special. It is also quite costly and the amount of food you get is a bit skimpy for the price. By the way, the delivery people have always been very friendly and delivery time averages about 45 minutes. read more

My family and I have been ordering pizza here for years and have not had a bad experience yet, however, there is one bad thing about this business that I noticed over the past month or two. That is the wait time. I've had to wait well over 20 minutes past the quoted times I was given over the phone and this has been quite annoying. There is not a lot of room inside to sit down and wait and I often have to go outside and walk around until the pizza is finally ready. Went here for the first time and was pretty disappointed. I was the only one in here, and there seemed to be only one staff member at the time. I do feel for her, but I was on my lunch break and in a hurry. It was freezing in there,which sucked since I was in there for about 20 minutes. I just ordered a small pepperoni pizza- nothing special. Definitely took longer than I would have liked. On top of the wait, the pizza tasted pretty similar to frozen pizza I've eaten before. Only giving 3 stars because the delivery driver was very nice and the pizza came nice and hot and arrived 35 mins before estimated delivery time, but I noticed a "little" piece of hair, which I then pulled out from a slice of pizza, which was actually a 9 inch piece of dark hair, either black or dark brown. And today I order online and again I choose the Fresh Roma Tomatoes as one of the three toppings on my pizza. And unless I didn't eat any portion of the pizza delivered, he would make me another one and send it out. But only on those terms. And I haven't ate a slice, but do I really trust to eat that pizza! After how rude, combative and condescending this manager was to me? Like I'm trying to get something free! Wtf! Like ok guy, just throw some raw pepperoni and olives on my pizza, while your at it!!!
