Still four stars. New owner. Good things - he's kept all the same recipes and everything taste like a used to in the past that is fantastic ! Bad things - he just got here so he's trying to get his bearings. He's got a lot of young guys working for him, and you know how young people are today, lots of them are not very dependable and hanging out on their phones too much instead of paying attention to what really matters in life like your job. Having problems with the delivery guys, but I think this is all temporary and will sort itself out soon. This place is in business and is definitely worth stopping at. This is an updated review December 2023. I would have given more stars is I could. I peeked in though a screen door and had a conversation with a cordial lad at the register about a neighboring business. He was so generous and not at all bothered by my inquiry that was unrelated to his business that I grabbed my husband , already at our parked car to suggest that we dine there for lunch! We were greeted as VIPs when we indicated it was our first visit. The red carpet treatment included a delicious beef pocket, made with added TLC and a hardy portion for the price! It's not so uncommon to place an order at a restaurant and have it made incorrectly. This is no crime. Unless you order from the Pizza 4 U in Shorewood. The owner CP made me feel like a liar and a thief as I tried to explain to him that my order was wrong, and that I'd called and explained this to an employee who assured me they would make it right, remember me and remake my item next time I called to place an order. DESPITE my having the details of who I spoke to and when, CP, tried to say that because I didn't check my order, still have the receipt and bring the order back they would be able to do nothing more than give me a credit for half the cost of the item. I actually had to keep this man on the phone and literally argue with him to get him to agree to give me a credit for the full price of the item, After-all, it was their mistake! Customer Service is dead. I hope everyone that reads this review heeds my warning and keeps their receipt, and checks their order before they leave the restaurant if they order from Pizza 4 U Shorewood. We have been getting Pizza for You for many years in Shorewood. We ordered pizza last week. Never again! They didn't have lettuce for our Club Pizza and both the other pizzas were burnt. I would give this negative stars if I could. This was our first and last time going to this place. I ordered the family salad and all the spinach was slimy. I tried to pick it out but just couldn't stomach eating the rest. I tried but anything soft (like diced tomatoes that I think were stored in the refrigerator were mushy enough to remind me of the spinach. The salad also had a chemical taste like salad prepared way ahead of time. In addition to this my husband ordered a hamburger and fries which we shared. Ordered a pizza for delivery last night. The pizza never arrived. I called continuously and nobody answered. Finally drove there over 2 hours later and they said the phone lines were down. Apparently the phone calls were being redirected to the owner. He is the one who took my order and never placed it with his employees. The employees were apologetic and it wasn't their fault. How do you run a business like this? I also gave the owner my credit card number and he must have just written it down somewhere and not used it which makes me uncomfortable as well. This is I second bad experience since they switched ownership. Last time we ordered a pizza, all the cheese was stuck to the top of the box. Pizza 4 U is one of best pizzas I've ever had. However I will be making the extra 5 minute trip to the Channahon pizza shop from now on. The Shorewood one had burnt crust on both pizzas that we ordered. A 20" Pepperoni pizza came with 30 pieces of pepperoni. We also ordered a sausage pizza and they were all out of sausage. Great pizza but I'll pick it up from now on. Last time I ordered I was told an hour for delivery. After 70mins and no food I called and was informed the driver had car issues. Waited alittle longer and about 10-15 mins it was delivered warm, with no apology from the driver. I was annoyed that I wasnt given a courtesy call or compensation for how late it was. read more

Fri. Feb 21 it took an HR. to get a 12 in beef pocket and cheese curds I live 1.9 mi away ,everything was cold cheese curds not cooked threw them away. I got a thin crust cheese and sausage 16" well done with extra sauce, and a double dough 12" cheese and sausage. I give it a 6.5/10 as far as the one bite pizza review by barstool sports. The pizza was really decent. There are better ones out there but this was good. Nothing wrong with the pizza, but nothing stood out taste wise or texture wise. This place is awful me and my girlfriend order from Pizza for U thinking the reviews were good, but I think those reviews are by Pizza for U owners or employees. I digress the order was pizza, fries and appetizers. The Pizza was burnt over done the fries are baked not fried and cold. We called management or so we thought the person said he would give us a credit for more then half the order cost. Which we though was good when we called to place a new order they said they don't do that and said they had no record. We actually called our credit card company for the date and time and related it to the managed and they still said it didn't exist and we didn't order anything. I would consider Pizza For U our go-to pizza place. For the price and quality there isn't much better in the area. They have a great coupon book that I highly recommend as well. There are a couple coupons in there for a free pizza with no strings attached that basically covers the cost of the coupon book alone. This place is cool though--if you pick up your pizza and end up waiting they'll occasionally offer you a soda, and if you don't have a coupon book they will even tack one onto your check and deliver it to you with your pizza. I purchased this Groupon for $18 which was good for $30 in food. When I went to use it my order total was only $21.55 the merchant then told me that I loose the remaining balance of the $30. No where on my mobile app did I see this stipulation, I have now looked online and still dont see where it states you loose the remaining balance. Having had Pizza4U many times over the years in Wilmington and Joliet locations I've not before felt 'insulted' by the staff. I ordered two 20" pizzas one extra cheese with sausage and an extra cheese with 'sliced' beef. We received two pizzas and couldn't tell the difference visually. So no obviously the beef was not 'slices' of beef it was instead chunks of ground beef. Don't get me wrong, it tasted good but I paid for 'double toppings' for the 'sliced' beef a total of three toppings on that pizza. I called there to try to find out if I'd been charged for the sliced beef and was assured that I'd been and was told by that person that he'd made the pizza and it was 'correct'. They never gave me the recipt when it was delivered. I told the person on the phone that they both looked too similar and this wasn't sliced beef. I even took photos of it, a slice from each pizza pulled the meat off and sure enough one was sausage and one was a chunk of ground beef (slices of burger does not 'sliced beef' make). Don't get me wrong for what I got it is delicious but I didn't get what I'd ordered and got charged more than I should have for what I got. Not ordering from them again. I'd rather do Joliet for the delivery even though this location is literally around the block and I could walk there in good weather. read more
