I grew up eating this kind of food. My grandma was Danish, so æbleskiver and "skinny" pancakes were a regular part of family breakfasts growing up. We finally made it to Valhalla, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The service was quick, friendly, and attentive, and the food was outstanding. Easily the best breakfast we've had in Visalia. The restaurant has a fun atmosphere and a unique layout. We came with a party of seven and were seated in a private room, which made the experience even better. My kids ordered the Smiley Pancakes and the presentation alone made their day. They loved it. Great food, great service, and a great experience all around. The kids decided on breadsticks $8.99 and cheese pizza (Large $19.99) and 2 drinks for the adults and water cups for the kiddos. Had not had their pizza in years so I decided to go for their lunch buffet which is from 11:30am-1:30pm. I arrived about 12:50pm and my choices were 2 Hawaiian pizzas. 1 combination and once slice left of Pepperoni. Which I asked if they were making any fresh pepperoni and worker didn't know. Pizza had been sitting there since 11:30 I'm assuming as it wasn't so fresh. I had myself a salad bar and a slice since no pepperoni was available. Salad bar was decent with average toppings. There was also some sort of breadsticks available which I passed since they looked old already. Also it is extra for a drink. Place was clean from what I saw but then again there want many people eating at lunch time hours. Bad visit. We waited 45 minuets for our food. We waited patiently and watched as other people who came in after us Get their food before us. We didn't get all the orders all at once. Slowly the pizza and other food items came. When we finally got all of our food, it was over an hour. The worst part of it all, There were another family that sat next to us that got it even worse. They never received anything. Got lied to. No manager in sight to take care of their problem. I felt so bad for The kids, as they were watching all the other people eat. All bad. Another 25 mins pass and I go ask about our pizza and was told they don't put the pizza in until we arrive. WHAT'S THE POINT OF ORDERING AHEAD!?!?!?!?!? Or worse why tell me its going to be ready in 20 mins. 20 mins after I ask I get my pizza. 40 mins to make two personal pizzas? Shouldn't call in be taken ahead of all others? We recently attended Pizza Factory because it has always been a family favorite but due to the customer service we will no longer attend. My cousin order a pizza and they brought it out to her and specifically called it out by name. It turned out to be someone else's order and the manager approached us very rudely and started to blame us for the mistake. We explained to her that the employee brought it out and specifically said my cousins name. She continued to blame us for their mistake and even went as far as to take the correct pizza back after it sitting there for almost 1 hr. That same night my husband was with the kids near the arcade area and he overhears the employee who messed up accusing our party of trying to take peoples food. They really should work on their customer service skills and teaching their staff to not bad mouth customers. I guess it's hard in an establishment where even the owner is EXTREMELY rude. read more
