We had to wait 20 minutes for a table. However the staff we're calm and friendly, incredibly helpful and the service was very fast. There is also a takeaway section if you want to eat out. There is plenty of parking aorund although at busy times you may have to circle for a space. Will certiainly use it again, perhaps not on a saturday lunch time though!

What a mistake. 1st the place was freezing, air con on full! We asked if it could be adjusted but told no. 2nd the menu special was wrong and did not clearly explain the offers. 3rd we had to repeatedly remind the waitress that one of our drinks had not arrived. 4th our starters had dips missing which we had to ask to be corrected. And 5th we were constantly asked despite saying no if we wanted and dips. Being asked twice would be fine but 5-6 times was a joke. Overall very poor experience for £38. Waitress was clearly not interested in customer experience.

I can also highly recommend the panna cotta for dessert. The restaurant is airy and beautiful, with an updated half timber look. It's just lovely. We then each had a pizza; my partner had a double pepperoni pizza, and I had the courgette and goats cheese pizza open (both £14.45). Both came with standard, thin bases, which were crispy without being tough. The courgette and goat cheese pizza was particularly nice, as it also came with mushrooms, peppers, olives, and pesto. It was one of the nicest pizzas I've had in some time. My partner said his pizza was good, but a different choice might have been more interesting. But both pizzas were very filling. (I'm not sure I could have managed the larger version, £2 extra.) Together with two low-alcohol lagers, and 10% service, the total bill came to just under £57. It was 10.25 on Wednesday evening, February 25th, but we were turned away by the young barman, as he said he had already called last orders and wasn't letting anybody else in. Now, my husband and I were very disappointed, as everywhere else in the town had been so welcoming and accommodating. We walked across the road and had a few drinks in another bar, as there are plenty of nice places to choose from, BUT, if I was the owner of this establishment, I would not be best pleased at young bar staff turning my customers away. That is a lot of revenue to lose over the year if this is happening every night, especially with the cost of living at its current high and the daily struggle that pubs face to stay profitable!! Maybe a bit of staff re-training wouldn't go amiss and a reminder of who pays the wages!!

Then they start setting out complimentary shots on the table which we also didn't get. Overall, I was extremely displeased by this place. They were so rude and annoying. We were perfectly polite and paying customers, and they treated us horribly. The glasses were dirty, they forgot several peoples orders, just unacceptable service and the waitress had a horrible attitude.
