Stopped in because there was a sign on the window for $12.99 for a large 1 topping carryout pizza. After being charged $16.63 a pizza, I asked asked why I didn't get charged the window price. The guy preparing the pizza stated he only works there and if I wanted that price I should of said something. Also it's not his job to offer me that price. I thought the whole interaction was rude and shady. It's my first and last time going there. I don't care how good the pizza is. Poor customer service speaks volumes. I wanted to like this place because lots of people are saying it's their favorite in the Valley. my in-laws really liked the pizza. My wife and I not as much. The crust/dough had a lower quality/cheap feel to it. It tasted better heated up later, but this is conveyer belt pizza, and it' s really not good pizza. The lady was nice, though. Also, the wings are a confusing disaster. They had a good taste to them but they tasted boiled, even if they were well done. Like boiled then fried? But MUSHY. Pizza Effect is a new restaurant located in the valley, they have both Italian food and Sri Lankan food. We tried the devilled chicken pizza and chicken cheese kottu they were both super delicious. Since then, this has become one of our go to spots. Its a family business and often times, you might even meet the owners. Everyone is super nice! read more

This is my first time writing a review. But I was so impressed by the great level of service and the great tasting food I had to write a review. I was looking for a place to buy pizza but didn't want to pay extra for the expensive chain (franchise) pizza restaurants overhead and commercial air-time. I also wanted a pizza that would taste authentic. I discovered Pizza Effect while driving down Tampa Ave (they're actually located on the corner of Tampa & Roscoe) and decided to give them a try. And I'm so glad I did! Their staff is extremely polite and very hospitable. As soon as you walk in they greet you in a very warm manner. Their location is very clean inside and their prices are very reasonable. They take a lot of pride in preparing your meals. They use the freshest ingredients when making pizza and I'm confident that includes their other delicious dishes. Be sure and sign up for their new Rewards and applicable Birthday club program. They said it's a new program to their location and plan to send out text messages indicating the specials they're running for the month etc. Also, if you go to that location a certain amount of times you can qualify for future Rewards Discounts. I've never wanted pizza for breakfast but I couldn't get over this pizza! I ordered the luxury pizza and a plain cheese. First time my kiddos actually ate the crust! Here we go with another pizza review!!. Found this place tucked the corner of a plaza as I was picking up food for the fam and when I see a new pizza place i gotta try it!!. Walked in and nice ambiance over all l. Very clean which is a plus. Chef greeted me. Showed and explained his menu which was very nice aswell. Asked him my regular questions. Is your pizza planky or does it fold the middle?. Chef said it's New York style so it'll be planky. PERFECT!!. pizza was done in great time. He opens the box and it looked very pretty!!. I grabbed a slice right than and there and lifted it slightly and to my surprise it was limp in the middle. Was let down by that because I expected what he told me it would be. Flavor was tasty. CRUST has a good crunch, airy aswell. Overall dough was wet. No crunch at all. I do recommend anyone that likes neapolitan style pizza to give them a shot. They deserve the local buisness. Best pizza spot in Reseda !!!! Let's start off with saying how much I enjoyed the family feel of this pizza spot. Loved the decorations and the the owners and staff were amazing. We got the carne asada pizza & Buffalo chicken pizza & also some wings . My mouth is definitely still watering of how bomb it was and we had plenty to take home . The wings were so juicy and huge , it's a hit or miss with wings sometimes at pizza places but they were delicious!! The pizza was crispy and I've never had a carne asada pizza before and i was definitely missing out !! Love this place and I'll be back soon ! I tried this pizza spot and purchased the Luxury pizza and it was not what I expected. The pizza was soggy and the toppings was so less not what was on the yelp picture reviews. It was the worst pizza I ever tasted. Store bought microwave pizza taste better. I would not waste your money on this. I purchased a Cesar Salad and lucky I open the box to check.
