West Grove Pizza - NEW YORK BAGEL DELUXE PIZZA

After seeing West Grove Pizza featured on KTLA news, my husband suddenly decided we had to try it…read more-- apparently my months of saying I'd heard it was great didn't quite carry the same weight! We went for dinner and ordered a large pizza: half Big Kahuna for my husband and half Brooklyn Bridge for my son and me, along with a glass of wine for me and a beer for the boys. We grabbed a table outside on the nice little patio, which made for a perfect evening. Well... my husband immediately started eating my half of the pizza and loved it so much that we ended up ordering another large pie -- yes, another Brooklyn Bridge -- and not a single slice was left by the end of the night. The crust alone deserves recognition: easily one of the best-tasting pizza crusts we've had. I've heard the gelato is top notch, but after the boys demolished two large pizzas, dessert was simply not happening. We'll definitely be back soon to try the New York Bagel Deluxe. The short rib lasagna sounds amazing, too! Service was top notch -- very friendly and welcoming staff -- and it's great that they offer both indoor and patio seating. Highly recommend!

Pros: fresh ingredients, tasty pizza, yummy Caesar salad and dressing…read more Cons: super soggy crust, tip machine starts at 20%, lettuce a little wilted, but not brown. I find it absolutely insane that a FAST-CASUAL restaurant would START THE LOWEST tipping button at 20%. The only thing the staff does for service is bring the food to your table and bus afterwards. You get your own utensils, your own drink and refills, and you order at the counter. The audacity of starting the tipping buttons at 20% for that is insane. It's part of a greedy mindset that turns me off from any fast -casual business that would do this. And that's asking for a minimum of 20% off a fairly expensive meal. I don't blame the restaurant for that. Everything is expensive these days, but I certainly wouldn't call the food a value, just on the expensive side of fair.

I wanted a sandwich and decided here because of the vegan cold cut. The bread was a traditional sub style with an absolutely delicious crispy crust. I chose the Italian which came with mayo, onions, tomatoes, pickles and a seasoned Italian meat substitute (not sure if it was tofu). My husband got the vegan supreme pizza and it was loaded with veggies. It's a take away only spot- which we didn't know but the wait was reasonable and the service was friendly. They offered paper plates and disposable flatware. I would absolutely order from here again!

I was in the neighborhood getting my tires done so I figured I place a pick up order. To my surprise, it was a bit disappointing. I ordered online and took advantage of their deal 10 wings with a large pizza+ one small speciality supreme ($51) The order for ready before due time. I picked up a couple extra slices of chocolate cake and Oreo cheesecake ($15). We used to devour the pizza here with less than 3 slices leftover. This time, we had more than half a large pizza left. The pizza really was meh and the wings were worse than home made. Lemon pepper was way too lemony/sour and not palatable. The garlic parm was also did not meet expectations. Sad part is, the dessert was the best part and they probably ordered from an outside vendor. Overall, it was a disappointing pizza and wing experience. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

For the 5 of us, we ordered onion rings, shrimp jambalaya pasta, golden potato pizza, and Hawaiian pizza. The onion rings were piping hot and fresh, and I thought the pasta was just mid. However, both pizzas were really good! My favorite was the golden potato since it comes with the gold crust. They definitely didn't skimp on the toppings and I love that they provide sweet pickles as well (very Korean style). Service was alright, but I think there was only one worker at the time we were there. I'd love to try the other pizzas as well, since they have really interesting combinations.

I ordered the Golden Potato Pizza for takeout and it was SO good--like actually craving-it-again good. The flavors were perfectly balanced and everything tasted super fresh. I also loved the extras on the side--parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, and sweet pickles really elevated the whole experience. This spot definitely redeemed itself for me. I'll 100% be back whenever I'm nearby

I wanted delivery but it was going to cost a whole lot more than pickup so we set our order for pickup instead. On the website right before placing the order, there is a pop-up that says I should order on the .mobile app to avoid "crazy fees". I clicked on it and it said "website could not be found". So I ordered through the website instead. I ordered a large pizza with half just cheese and olives, and the other half pepperoni and mushrooms. I also grabbed an order of garlic cheese bread because it sounded delicious. The pizza ready on time and was hot and fresh even when we got it home. The slices feel "heavy", like they are well loaded with sauce and cheese! Upon opening the box, I realized immediately that they did not include the mushrooms I paid for. There is an upcharge for each topping, and it doesn't look like the cost changes whether they are on the whole pizza or just half. But I paid extra for a topping I did not receive. I even checked my receipt to confirm that it was included on the order. The pizza tasted fine; standard delivery/chain pizza place quality. My only complaint is missing my mushrooms! The garlic cheese bread was ok. It looks really good in pictures but mine wasn't super cheesy. I didn't get a picture before everybody grabbed some. It was good but I don't think I would order it again. Overall the pizza is good and was made fresh, pepperoni was good, and we would come back for another pizza craving.
