We didn't have the opportunity to try the place, but my wife and I felt it important to review our negative experience. We certainly understand that when a place is busy and you come without reservations, they can say that they regret that there is no space, though we were not even offered an opportunity to wait for a table.
That was not a major concern, and in fact we returned on a very non-busy weekday evening a few days later, rather early, and while there was almost nobody at the restaurant. This time, again, we were summarily dismissed, but in a way that was so curt and rude that we felt relieved to have not been chased out with a broom as if we were a rat trying to sneak around the kitchen. Frankly, both my wife and I felt as if we were being discriminated against, perhaps for being American. Regardless, it was so rude that we felt that it merited the restaurant being called out for being unacceptable. In the unlikely event that the entire, currently empty restaurant was reserved in the next hour, we would have been fine with a patient apology and explanation. read more
