Italian sub
Pejman M.

. Super nice owner, and the food tastes great! However, for $14, it would be nice to include a bit more meat -- especially if you're hoping to attract customers who usually go to Big O. I ordered the Italian sub, and as you can see, there's barely any meat in it. If they add a little more meat to the sandwiches and extra cheese on the pizza, I'll definitely be back!

Meh. Hardly any sauce.
Steve T.

So Southern California is a barren wasteland for Midwest and NY style pizza. Hell, even the grocery stores suck. So this is what Big O's has morphed into. Big O's was ok. As you can see, I like my pizza cut in squares and Cosentino's, like Big O's are accommodating to the request. Everything was pretty good, but there was hardly any sauce and the cheese could've made it to the edge, along with another couple of minutes in the oven to cook up the cheese. It was almost there. I added another pic. A place called Savoy, a chain in the Twin Cities. You want to see what I'm talking about? Go to your search bar, type in Savoy and then add Minneapolis as your location. Scroll through those pics and you'll see what I mean. I'll have them again. I always do when I come to visit and I look forward to upgrading this review cause honestly, it really was close.

Supreme Pizza without Bell Peppers

7/5/25 - Got the Supreme Pizza, Cheese Pizza, and Meatball Sandwich. All super delicious! Meatball Sub was the Best I've ever had!! Pizza Castello replaced Cosentino's Pizza about a year ago, so if you haven't been recently, give the new place a try! It's really good and supporting local business is awesome! Owner is super nice and deserves community support!

Pizza is not very good at all. Not much else to say. 3 stars because the guy working was friendly but won't be back. Big flop and cheese barely cooked. They really need to change the recipe and cooking process of the pizzas.

We are a busy family and honestly eat pizza at least 3 times a week. We love AllStar, Ballpark, Terra Mia, and even Flippin. My husband had an errand to run in that part of MV, so he thought it would be a good idea to try a new place. I drive by it all the time so I was excited to try it. Sadly it was probably one of the worst pizzas I've ever had. It reminded me of bad hospital cafeteria pizza. The crust was flavorless, not crispy, not chewy, I can't even describe it other than underwhelming. I ate the piece that had mushrooms, sausage, and olives. The mushrooms were gross. The sauce was underwhelming also. I gave 2 stars because the garlic knots were not bad. While I will never order pizza from there again, I'm very curious to try the sub since that's where all the good reviews come from. I'll update my review then.

Build your own Calzone!

Great Italian food!! Highly recommend! Prices are great. They seem expensive but the portion sizes are huge. We shared a calzone between 3 people and that was plenty of food for the 3 of us. I tried some of the meatball sub and it was so delicious! The bread was delicious and fresh and the meatball was definitely good quality. I highly recommend it! We only ordered our food to go so no comments about the service other than they got our order correct. Other people gave bad reviews for the items being incorrect. Luckily our order was all correct and delicious!

Bread with butter along with oil and vinegar were provided as we browsed the menu. Service was very friendly although on the slower side for both the food preparation as well as follow up service. Each of our entrees came with a large side salad to start which had a nice dressing. We got two pasta dishes and a pizza. I selected fettuccine noodles for the shrimp rosa. The pasta was well cooked, and the sauce was a good balance of spicy, acidic, and rich from the cream sauce. The shrimp weren't overcooked and the portion sizes were generous enough for us to have leftovers of all the dishes. The pizza is a thicker base similar to a new haven style pizza. The dough had a nice chew and generous portion of toppings. We ordered the tiramisu for dissert which wasn't too our taste. It was incredibly dense with an overpowering amount of alcohol in it. Presentation was great and the portion was generous, but we wouldn't get it again. Incredible value for all the items especially considering the nicer atmosphere and great service.

To this day, because he would often come with them, when my dad comes here, several employees recognize him. They've always given us great service. Even when we came here with my parents, my whole family and my brother's whole family (11 people), we received excellent service. The food itself is fresh and tasty. I won't say it's life changing, but for the area, it's one of the best American style Italian food you'll find. It's full of staples and a few things that might be new to you. I will say, do not sleep on the dessert. It's always a lovely treat that is an excellent way to end the night. The restaurant itself is small and they put as many tables as they can without making it feel too cramped. When the sun goes down, the restaurant is a bit on the dark side for 'ambiance' so you might need to pull your phone light out to read the menu. Delizie is definitely a restaurant that holds a special place in my heart. I want to be as impartial as possible in this review, but it's really hard to be over years of visiting and hearing about how well they've treated my family. If you're looking for a nice local spot to frequent, this could fit the bill perfectly.

I pointed it out to a server, and his response was, "Oh yes, I see it. Sorry, we've been trying to get rid of them." Seeing roaches openly crawling around the dining area was absolutely disgusting. The young guy who served me both times was genuinely very nice and clearly capable. The problem is he seems to be the only person actually doing anything. He's running around handling everything while several other employees just stand there. It's honestly mind-baffling. He deserves better than this place. That's about as kind as I can be, because the food was terrible. Calling this Italian food is generous. Calling it Italian at all feels like an insult to Italy, its culture, and its food. The chicken piccata was vulgar. Low-quality chicken and nothing even remotely close to what chicken piccata is supposed to taste like. The lemon sauce was overly lemony and somehow watered down at the same time. The minestrone soup tasted like bell pepper water. I ordered it because my throat was sore and I needed something soothing, and I couldn't even finish it. Even with bad taste buds, I could tell how bad it was. The bread that came with it tasted stale and old. I didn't touch it. The salad tasted like it existed just to technically be called a salad. No flavor, and nothing worth eating. The creamy Italian dressing was somehow the worst part, which is impressive since I usually like creamy Italian. This place is embarrassing to call Italian. I genuinely question anyone who leaves good reviews for food this subpar. I get that there aren't many Italian options in the area, but that doesn't mean people should waste their hard-earned money here. A can of Chef Boyardee would honestly be better. I didn't even take pictures of the food because I was so disturbed by the taste. Never going back.

We were initially drawn to Domenicos because of the stunning views of lake Mission Viejo. We had the option of sitting inside, near the bar or outside on the patio. We ordered the Chicken Alfredo Pizza and the Chicken Basil Cream Pasta. To start, the pizza was truly phenomenal. There was plenty of chicken to compliment the creaminess of the Alfredo sauce along with the dough itself. We ordered a medium pizza and it was more than enough to feed two of us. The Chicken Basil Cream Pasta was also rich and full of flavor. The serving portion was large, and we were also given Parmesan to complement the dish. Overall, the dish was enjoyable. They forgot to add the sauce and the fish was dry. That would have been fixable but our server never came back to the table to check on us and we had to find someone to help us. Three out of the four of us had terrible meals. Two of us were planning on ordering the salmon salad but decided not to as the salmon was farmed not wild. We pivoted to the eggplant parm. It was a mistake. It was honestly the worst eggplant parm we've ever had. It was more crust than eggplant and so dry. The pasta that came with it had almost no sauce and was also dry. We asked the server to bring us some marinara sauce. The third person was also not happy with their meal. The three of us should have sent our meals back. Our server was lovely and attentive and the atmosphere was great but I think after two bad food experiences we won't be going back.

I was sold on everything Jesse suggested. For drinks, we shared a bottle of light, crisp Borgo Canedo Sauvignon Blanc, and an Italian style Pilsner called Webb's, which is brewed locally in Aliso Viejo. Focaccia Pugliese & Gluten Free Focaccia were both good! The GF version had more of a light biscuit texture but both had a soft interior with a crisp outer layer. The Basil-Ricotta Spread with pistachio went really well with them too. Insalata Lattuga - baby romaine, lemon, anchovy bread crumbs, Grana Padano cheese with creamy herb dressing - fresh, crunchy and well balanced Mandilli di Seta - very unique handkerchief shaped pasta with lemon cream and pesto drizzle Agnolotti - ricotta and garlic filled pasta with asparagus, spring onion and guanciale - complex flavor profile and textures! The Lasagna and Rigatoni alla Bolognese were classic and authentic. Their bolognese includes beef, pork and veal. Chef Marco came out with the Parmigiano Reggiano Wheel and prepared the Mushroom Risotto in it, mixing all the ingredients and scraping the cheese off the sides while he served it. It was rich, creamy and not too salty. I didn't know the wheel is nearly $1k! We tried all the desserts! Among the Affogato, Gelato, Panna Cotta, Tiramisu and Torta Pasticiotto, the Panna Cotta stood out the most with savory basil infused in the cream with crispy caramelized sugar and pine nuts and fresh strawberry puree. Second runner up was the Affogato for me. The restaurant has a clean, modern design. It's not too spacious inside, but the party of 10 of us sat comfortably in the covered patio area.
