I've been a loyal customer for a number of years of Pizza Capers at Meadowbrook. However a recent experience has meant that I'll no longer be going back there.
We had someone moving in and so we thought pizzas would be an easy and convenient meal with so much mess at home. I ordered three pizzas and my partner picked them up. When we opened the pizza boxes at home we found they were all over-cooked, with parts of them being burnt. (They cost just over $60.00).
It was now getting late and we still had a lot of work to do, so I contacted the store a day or two later. The owner of the store wanted photos which I sent him, and I also had the receipt. His response, when it eventually came (I had to wait several days) was that he didn't think they were burnt and that he couldn't find any record of us ever ordering pizzas from his store, and so therefore he wouldn't be offering any form of refund.
I contacted Pizza Capers head office and explained the situation. After much to-ing and fro-ing, they sent me a gift voucher for $25. That's it? The pizzas cost just over $60!
What I objected to the most was the store owners attitude that I was making it all up just to get free stuff, even after being a loyal customer for years. All we wanted was something to eat and yet we were served a shoddy product. You'd think at least they would reimburse the cost of the pizzas in full.
If that's how they treat their customers then I have no desire to ever go back there again. read more
