They probably have the best pizza in town ever since the whole Rizzo's fallout. But I also like Pizza Box best for its sandwiches, calzones and stromboli! Service is friendly. The dining area is not entirely clean, but passes personal inspection. Food is genuinely good. I would recommend this Pizza Box to anyone. read more

We love us some Pizza Box.....great service, excellent pizza in wide varieties. We feel like family everytime we visit.

Meh...Don't get what the hype is all about. Tried today for the fist time and let me tell you, what a disappointment. We opted for 2 slices (one chicken parm and one chicken buffalo) and a white with ricotta, garlic and oil. Me and the wife split the slices so I used my pizza cutter (no 100% Italian should be without) and we had some issues cutting and that kind of raised a doubt... So here we get to taste it, the dough is horrid, hard to chew I feel like I've been eating gum for about 12 hours. The chicken on the parm slice was passable not much flavor on the sauce and cheese. The buffalo was worst, the chicken was so dry that I wonder if it wasn't yesterday pie. On the contrary the white one had a good flavor with no overtone of garlic, the blend of cheese was very very good. But, and that is a big one, the crust is absolutely impossible to chew. Our jaws have been put through the ringer. Not finishing the large pie and will end up in the bin. Highly doubt it that tomorrow is going to be any edible. The zeppole taste good, but again they are hard to chew, no surprise since is fried dough. I'm Italian born and bread and let me tell you if you make this pizza over there you will be out of business in a weeks time. All in all awful experience, I can guarantee that I will not be a repeat customer. Too many better pizza parlours in the area to patronize this one. Oh and they are expensive...A LOT! read more

I ordered a large pizza with black olives, pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and a little extra sauce (please). I received a pizza with almost NO sauce, big and salty black olives that had to be picked off the pizza because of their size and salt content. UNSATISFACTORY!!!! This pizza was dry and salty. This pizza establishment is OVERRATED!!! Shop elsewhere and save the premium that you would pay for a "gourmet" pizza joint for another, better place! read more

This place is so close to home, so we should go regularly, right? Unfortunately, the pizza is invariably greasy and tasteless. Worse, we have had enough bad stomachs after eating the pizza to think it is more than a coincidence. The last time I ordered take out was several years ago, and the girl answering the phone was terribly rude. It wasn't a big enough deal to complain about, but it did leave a bad taste in my mouth. Combined with the lackluster food, we generally find elsewhere to go. read more

Love their specialty pizzas! Also, the owner is great! You can tell he really values his customers. Pizza Box is definitely a family favorite! read more

We go here often. The free Zeppolis are a nice touch and the crust is thin but soft.

We'd heard many reviews of the Pizza Box and were really looking forward to trying it. We went once for pizza and once for sandwiches. Both times, the place was packed, mostly with takeout traffic. The pizza was all right ... I'm not sure why I didn't like it as much as everyone else seems to. Too much oregano? It wasn't awful but it wasn't my favorite pizza. I had a cheese steak on our next visit. Again, all right. The meat and bread were good but there wasn't nearly enough cheese. Next time maybe I'll get extra cheese and see how that goes. We got fries as well which were coated in that crispy stuff which most people like, but again, I'm going to be a princess and say I prefer plain 'ol fries. I'm sure we'll be back since we like to patronize local places. Maybe we caught it on an off day ... twice. read more

How about no? Joint doesn't even deserve a star. Ok, maybe for the cheeses on the white pizza but I would like a crust that doesn't chew like a rubber tire. Sadly disappointed. read more

This place is awesome!! Pizza is excellent! Always a variety of flavors and free little samples & cinnamon sugar pizza dough treats. Yum! We had a special Valentine's Day slice which was delicious, buffalo chicken and honey BBQ chicken pizza. All we're AMAZING! Honey BBQ chicken was my favorite. Great customer service, they're cash only but so what. This place deserves no negative review- I highly recommend it! read more

Friendly service! Eager to please and the food is good! Only downfall... No one wears gloves nor have I seen them wash their hands prior to handling food. I'm not ok with that. Last time I ordered a slice she took my payment then grabbed a slice and put in the oven. So, if u go in.. Pay attention and remind them of needed be! read more

Poor service. Dirty tables. Burnt pizza. There were 5 people behind the counter. No one cared. Terrible customer service.

This is far and away the best place for sandwiches in the area. The Sicilian style pizza is also quite good, but the sandwiches are where it's at. The ambiance is nothing to write home about but that's not really what your there for is it? read more

Best pizza in the Philly suburbs. But loses points for being cash only. Merchant fees are weak sauce, I appreciate that. But I seldom have cash and it's just a hassle. read more

Only dined her twice maybe but the food was amazing. Fantastic cheesesteak and pizza here. I'm sure everything Pizza Box has to offer is quality. read more

They have the best Pizza in Glenside. I just love their stuff cheesesteak Stallon pizza. They have some of the best stuffed pizza i've every had. Also they have good seating if you want to eat in. I've been going here for a while. You must try if you're in the area. Remember Cash ONLY read more

Best pizza in the 'burbs - hands down! All of their food is awesome, but you can't get a better pizza anywhere. Perfect crust (I like my on the doughy side, not NY style), perfect gravy, a real "10". read more

I'm sorry to say my second trip to The Pizza Box was a major disappointment. Having tried and enjoyed the pizza so much, I was looking forward to checking out the entrees. My gnocchi with marinara sauce was way overcooked. To make matters worse, part way into this plate of mush I came across a great big hair. Not cool. Finally, my wife's fettuccini alfredo can at best be described as tasteless and bland. Knowing that every restaurant can have an off night every now and then, I'm hoping that's what happened here. Regardless, it'll be a while before I return. read more

One of the few places in the Philadelphia suburbs to get a real Philly Cheesesteak and decent pizza. They literally have any kind of pizza you could think of on their menu. Huge slices for $3. Pizza is always hot, fresh and crust is crunchy. There's always free Zeppoles up at the register. The employees are always hard at work but service is very good. Only downside is that it's cash only. read more

Came her with a group of 7 and had the veggie Stromboli, eggplant parm lunch, gluten free Sophia Loren pizza and a Caesar salad and everything was fabulous!!! Large portions and lots of flavor!!! The staff is super friendly!!! read more

This restaurant is walkable from my house. The pizza was good. The crust was a little bread-y for my taste, but overall my family was pleased. The atmosphere is fun for an order at the counter/by the slice pizza shop. The price was a bit expensive, but we will definitely be back. read more

You made me change my mind. I now feel the best pizza I've had is in PA! Really, this was awesome. I had the Schwarzenegger and the Stallone and both were delicious. I haven't gone to Joe's pizza in Santa Monica yet (near my hometown in California), but I'm looking forward to visiting and hope they are as good as yours! I would still love to have you open a Pizza Box in Southern Cali. Burbank, CA would be perfect! :-) Oh, and your Cannoli ... Yum read more

After hearing all the hype from Arcadia students I finally decided to give it a try. Sadly, I prefer Mario's pizza in Chestnut Hill. The pizza at pizza box was okay. There was nothing spectacular about it though. I kept waiting for a great ounce of spice or tang from the sauce to settle in but there was nothing. In my opinion, it's an average pizza joint that caters to college students and families. Nothing too grand but also not a waste of money. They do, however, have some really interesting pizza choices that I'm itching to try out next. read more

Great pizza. Amazing and unique types. Fries are awesome. Pricey compared to other pizza in the area but it's worth it. You get what you pay for. Down side is you want to call it that - is cash only and no delivery. Interior could use some spiffing up. Great pizza!!!! read more

Best pizza! Everyone I know comes here for pizza. We have lived in Glenside for 20 years and nothing can compare. Always leave with a smile. Wonderful service read more

Not very good. Bland pizza and everything else. They also only take cash. Glenside in general has pretty bad pizza places.

I can't say enough about the amazing pizza and the service! Today's pizza was so over the top, I HAD to tell everyone! I had 2 pieces (since I'm a glutton!) of the tortellini, basil, tomato, bacon all in a blush sauce. Every single ingredient was better than the next. The service, even though they don't have waitress service, is always perfect! Everyone's nice, always remembers me, has a nice word to say and is just genuinely happy. They have a lot of different varieties of specialty pizza every day and sell by the slice. Usually, I get cheesesteak pizza or a cheesesteak roll (it's like a mini cheesesteak stromboli), but have been more adventurous lately. Never had anything there I didn't like. Oh, and I shouldn't forget about the FREE "donuts" they have on the counter. They are better than any crap that Dunkin Donuts has.......Not sure what the name is for them, but they are deep-fried pieces of pizza dough sprinkled with sugar!!!!!! The prices are excellent and wish I could eat there every day! MANGIA! In Glenside, and anywhere nearby, this is the place for pizza! BTW - the pix on here, of their food, don't do it justice! read more

OMG! Best local pizza restaurant!! Excellent pizzas, cheesesteaks and salads!! Huge portions!! Can you tell I'm A fan? A little pricey but you get what you pay for-excellent food!! Their stuffed pizza??.....OMG!! :) :) Only accepts cash !?!?!? who cares I guess I better visit Brazil if I want better LOL! read more

The pizza here is some of the best in the area. We love just the plain cheese but also really like the cheesesteak pizza with pepper and onions. Great service. read more

Favorite pizza in the glenside area. Eat in or take out you're going to get great food. Steak Stromboli is the bees knees.

Absolutely the best pizza in Glenside! I've had pizza from every pizzeria around, and Pizza Box just is the best. From plain to a pizza with everything it's the best! read more

Ok, came from Vancouver, BC to try their famous cheese steak sandwiches. Instantly addicted. Especially to the fillet mignon version. Tasty. Very. read more

Cash only, but always good!! Their celeb inspired sandwiches are awesome---def try the Angelina jolie:)

I've going here for nearly 20 years. The best in the Glenside area. Only pizza place I know that doesn't deliver. Why? They don't need to; if you want pizza, this is where you come. read more

Best pizza in town!!! Would be nice if they took credit cards and/or delivered though.

From the moment I walked in I knew this was going to be my place. Growing up on Mulberry Street in New York and then Bensonhurst in Brooklyn and coming from a restaurant family I am so often disappointed by either The poor quality of the food or the service, but this little pizza place never disappoints. The many varieties of pizza are wonderful. Their Italian bread for sandwiches always tasty and fresh and their specialties like ribeye steak either on a hero or in a pizza are delicious. I had my granddaughters 21st party catered by them and they met all my expectations of fresh delicious food and fabulous service. The owner , his son and the workers like my grandmother and her crew are dedicated to doing it right and they always have samples of Little Italian sweets on the counter for you to snack on as you wait. Bring your own bottle of Chianti and enjoy!!! They won't disappoint you. read more

A wonderful local pizza place where you can get real Italian pizza made by actual Italians! You also get a free 2 liter beverage when you buy enough, which is nice. The pizza always tastes very fresh and the ingredients are of excellent quality. One of the best in the area! read more

I always go to the one in Ambler for Pizza but I moved and ordered cheese steaks for me and my family this time from Glenside. I can't comment on Glenside's pizza but their cheese steaks are really disappointing; and I'm not even from Philly. Rolls were chewy like they were microwaved or were a few days old. The meat barely filled the roll, they don't take credit cards like Ambler and the counter staff was not as friendly and engaging as Ambler. 2 stars for Glenside. Be kind to your customers, offer different options to pay other than cash (suspicious) and be consistent across all your stores. I feel bad giving this review as I love their Ambler location. I bet that's where the owner works. read more

The pizza was good, not the best I've had, but good nonetheless. HOWEVER, NONE of the employees wore gloves when preparing the food. There was a women operating as the cashier AS WELL AS the person who puts the pizza onto a silver tray and into the brick oven- all done with her bare hands! Then, in walked what looked to be a happy regular customer, shaking a few of the employees hands, saying hello. This wouldn't have been a problem if after that greeting the guy who made my pizza washed his hands and put some gloves on! I didn't see a glove box anywhere! It really sucks because this was my first time at The Pizza Box and I was excited for a bunch of returns to try the different types of pizzas. BUT, I'll never go back. I just can't risk my family getting sick over poor hygiene. read more

Best Pizza in the Area! I take my kids there all the time and everyone is very friendly. Great place for anybody to eat.
