We came at 4pm on a Thursday and they told us we could find a table with a reserved time, we just have to leave about 15 mins before the reserved time starts. We walked into the back, found a four top and the waitress immediately got a baby chair and brought menus. She said they make buttered noodles for free for kids and said she can put that in asap - total pro! We ordered the pork roll with dumplings and a side of beet salad to share - DELISH! The menu changes daily and the waitress will tell you what's good to order - do as she says - order came out in less than five minutes! The blonde beer was delicious and crisp, very drinkable. If you want some good services, vibes, and classic beer and food- this is the place.

Wow this place is busy around dinner time, but it turns over pretty quick! If you're looking for a…read morequiet intimate meal for two, this is most certainly not the place to go. If you are looking for a very lively place that seats about thirteen hundred guests per day and has twelve tanks of beer, and the beer hall vibe then this spot is most certainly for you. Close to the Old Town square it is not at all touristy, the service is good and the prices are very fair for what you get. K ordered the Goulash, and I had the Chicken Schnitzel along with a beetroot salad to share. The food was plentiful and very good, especially the goulash gravy which was a deep colour that had amazing flavour. The schnitzel was not as big as the plate, but I couldn't finish it. K had a glass of wine and I a beer for about $64 CDN, which is good in Prague. Our only quibble was that the beetroot salad turned into a cabbage salad with horseradish. It was also good, but not what we ordered. We would most certainly come back and endure the half hour wait to experience and enjoy what is a somewhat unique European offering.

Came by for dinner the other night and it was a decent experience. The Eatery is a modern Czech…read morerestaurant a few stops away from the touristy part of Prague with mainly locals. The restaurant is featured in the Michelin guide and features a chef's counter. The restaurant is a good 10 minute walk from the metro. There is a bus/tram stop in front of the restaurant. The restaurant is located in a quiet neighborhood and was slightly hard to find. Started off with the homemade bread with butter. I found the bread dry and lackluster. It was interesting that the waiter claimed that the bread made in house daily when I saw one of the cooks cut up prepackaged store-bought bread... Opted for the tripes as a starter per the recommendation from the waiter. I was slightly surprised that such a dish could appear in a fancy restaurant. The waiter reassured me that this was a popular Czech dish. The tripes were fine although I found the dish a touch lacking with a ton of thousand island squirted on the dish? I did find the dish a touch salty ... as with most dishes in Prague. ..maybe it's cultural Moved on to the smoked pork tongue as the main. It was my first time having pork tongue and this tasted more like a sausage. I'm not sure what was with the saltier cream sauce that complemented this dish as it looked fine but the flavors were again on the saltier side... The dumpling I found to be quite dry and boring. Ended off the meal with the panna cotta which may have been the highlight of the meal. The panna cotta was light and served with a couple versions of pear. The ice cream with rum was tasty too.

We had an amazing dinner here. The restaurant was a bit out of the city center, but it was worth…read morethe short trip away from the tourists. The entire menu was creatively planned. We got the following and enjoyed every dish: * Deep-fried trout, caramelized carrot sauce, green pea, and lemon mayonnaise * Beef tartar, lovage mayonnaise, egg yolk cream, parmesan custard, smoked almonds, and bread chips * Koprovka, dill sauce, grenaille potato, and egg * Pan-fried duck breast, potato fondant, pulled duck leg, carrot purée, and sea buckthorn * Caramel mousse, condensed milk, caramelized nuts, fresh cheese ice cream The Eatery did a very good job modernizing traditional Czech dishes. For example, the egg that was used in the koprovka was a 62'C sous vide egg for 1 hour, which added a very nice modern touch. Service was attentive, but casual. We felt like we were dining at a good friend's rather than at a restaurant.
