A complete waste of time and very expensive, save yourself the money. $250 for 30 min and 10 min was for a heating pad.

Review of expert diagnosis and treatment of knee injury by Dr. Edward Lambert at OrthoVirginia on…read moreFirst Colonial in Va Beach. Dr. Lambert took great care in examining my injured knee, withdrawing fluid (62cc), ordering an MRI, analyzing those results, providing expert diagnosis and providing a treatment plan. Couldn't be happier with the medical care and service. My knee is healing well and I am back to running - short segments - and I believe I will return to full abilities (for a guy 71! haha) in the next month or so. For a little background, a previous doctor at a different practice ordered an X-ray, did a brief examination, told me it was useless to drain the fluid, gave me a cortisone shot and told me I'd be lucky if that helped for 6 months and that he'd see me in 6 months to talk knee replacement. My running friends said, "Go see Dr. Lambert." As noted above, Dr. Lambert went the extra mile and the MRI results showed there was nothing torn - not MCL, not ACL, not meniscus - thus no surgery was required, but that I did come dangerously close to doing so and should slowly rehab my knee according to his tried-and-true Walk To Run Program and I should regain full use, range of motion and ability within a month or two. That's huge difference! Huge! If you're a runner, you know.

I had a small problem with the brace rubbing on my incision and they made room to add extra padding the morning I called. It was only my second time there and everyone remembered me! So I have been having a total issue at my doctors office Glasson Sports Medicine and therapy, I had…read moresurgery in the being of April a Regeneten bioinductive implant. Surgery went well, started to go through physical therapy through her office as well. During/ around the three week or so of therapy they notice that my shoulder was starting to freeze up and was not moving very well. So one morning I came in to do my PT and their head therapist came over and put her face in my face and said you need to move that shoulder I don't care if you have fibromyalgia or CRPS that not my problem and you need to work through it. Totally blown by it I just kept quite. The same therapist takes me over to the table and pushes down on my shoulder You see I can get you to full capacity and moves it very roughly even though I'm telling her that it hurts. A couple of days later I get to see the doctor I informed her of the issue and that I have been telling the therapist that I'm in deep pain and even more after this happened with the therapist. Dr Glasson was very distant looking had no response and went into you need another procedure to cure the issue, she then assigned me to her other office for therapy. May 5 did my second procedure to unfreeze my shoulder three days after the procedure I complained to the therapy staff that I'm in total pain in my rib and back and my neck with pain to my ear drum not my shoulder so They Inform me that it might have been possible to get your rib fracture during the procedure. So I tell the staff well can I get an X-ray or something to find out. I'm in pain and not able to breath. With much hesitation and conversation they finally gave me an X-ray with a the following day out of nowhere an appointment with the doctor was made. Get to the doctors office had my wife with me as a witness I see the doctor and inform her of my issues she has a blank look began to speculate that I fell or had an accident of some sort. Which none of this happened I ve been at home relaxing and trying to bear through the pain. I am basically prying for her to answers of what this could be or what I should I do. Nothing she responded with have to tried hot compresses. I told her no one has informed me what to do even after day of asking the therapy staff for help. The doctor then tells us this is the first time She has hear of this. Even though I have told the staff every single day that I have come to therapy and I've asked to find answer out from the doctor. She didn't offer pain management didn't offer a new referral to be checked out, did even seem to care about me as a patient or human being. Didn't even say you need to go to your primary and get an EKG. As a veteran with PTSD this is the most horrible scenario I could through. I would rather be back on the front line fighting for our country and getting hurt then having to deal with this doctor or her staff.

I had an appointment with Dr. Glasson and I am so glad I did! She was very thorough, understanding, and patient. I waited a month to get an appointment and then after arrival I waited over an hour to see the doctor only to find that she could not have been more disinterested in understanding the problem or potential cause. She prescribed cortisone shots even though I made it clear that I had been managing the pain at home for the last 10+ years and wanted to know the root cause and treat that. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and asked again if the cortisone shots would treat the cause, not just the pain, and she said "oh, I don't know, maybe." I was so shocked I didn't even know what to say so I didn't push any further. Beyond that, her team must not have sent over the referral for the cortisone shots because I never received the call to schedule that they told me to expect.

They indicated that not all their Therapy Centers had Occupational Therapists. To get a timely appointment I had to take my 3rd choice. But they indicated that I could have the initial consultation there & the sessions at one of the others. After having the consultation at the Lynnhaven Office I knew I would stay with them, even if was a little further. The office is located in the Lynnhaven Convenience Center, a large strip shopping center with a great variety of businesses. The Center is located on the north side of Virginia Beach Boulevard just west of it's intersection with Lynnhaven Parkway. There are various routes available: (1) I-264 to Lynnhaven Parkway (2) Virginia Beach Beach Boulevard (3) from the Shore Drive Corridor: south on Great Neck Road then west on Virginia Beach Boulevard. There is ample parking with a few handicapped spaces in front on the building. The center is clean, well equipped & filled with friendly employees. My Occupational Therapist, Rachel is knowledgeable, friendly & eager to help my problems. She's offered "at home" suggestions and aids. She's tried different approaches when the first line exercises made my bad shoulders sore. Twice I've come very early from another appointment. Both times she found time to take me before my scheduled appointment. Sentara Lynnhaven's Occupational Therapy gets a strong "5" from me.
