The worst healthcare experience for the simplest of procedures that I've ever had. I get Durolane…read moreinjections in a knee. I ve been getting them for 3 years. The injection was ordered. After not hearing from them in a week I called and asked the status of my injection. I was told Humana had not authorized the shot. Boldly I asked them the reference number on the order and called up Humana to see why the shot had not been approved. I talked to a Humana pharmacist and was told they do not require prior authorization for my injection. I called Ortho back and the surgical med nurse told me share would check to see if it was there. Then called me back. Waited all day. Abby never called me back. Before closing called back, Destiny patched me to Abby. Abby said she never called me back b/c she couldn't find out if the injection was actually there. This time she promised me she'd call me back. It's been 11 days since my initial appointment. My knee, guess, still hurts, and I can't even find out if my injection has been ordered. I asked them once why they couldn't keep the injections in stock. Durolane. I was told it was an expensive injection and the shelf life was very short . I looked that up and found out the shelf life is 2 years. Don't tell me they have 6 doctors who see up to 50 patients a day, and they can't find another patient to give a Durolane injection to. Within a 2 year period. You call over there and an A I Bot takes over. I've been put on hold for over 30 minutes 3 times. Bottom line it's going on almost two weeks and they can't tell me anything. I was patched through to the fourth person once, and still didnt get answers. If you talked to for example Lori, and then request Lori again, you get put on hold and then you will wait 30 minutes, if you then opt to leave Lori a message, you get an answering machine saying that your return call would come in 24 to 48 hours. So already you are pushed out another 1 or 2 days. I completely see why they receive an average of 2 stars but I can't go that high. My experience has been one star.

It started with Dr gardner from southwest ortho putting from what I gather incorrect rt knee and…read moreleft hip replacements before he was fired and they shut down..I'm 51 6ft2 230 and he put old man joints in me..screws came loose the whole deal on both surgeries literally the next day after surgery..went to ortho v and thought I had been saved..not!!!!I got a wet behind the ears greenhorn named Bruce byrd..I won't call him dr...he did 3 surgeries finally removed the multiple pieces he gave me rather than a whole new hip to start..it got infected and he removed everything..I've had no left hip since May last year..he didn't want to do anymore surgeries..he got cold feet and wanted to bring a different dr in and I refused..if he couldn't do it so he should resign..he ghosted me at this point..very very rarely returns calls..can't leave voice mail.walmart of orthos..poor redskins.lol.so I found a new ortho nearby but he ortho blocked me when they called for records..said I threatened him..I did not..said if he ever saw me he should go the other way..I've got one hip..no threat.wtf..just never want to see his lying face again..new surgeon turned me down because they called and made it way out of proportion to avoid liability.. Byrd should think twice everytime he cuts in to someone..to make sure he's willing to go to the end with his patients...he's not..he's a punk..hope he becomes better from this mistake..I called the board on him but opted not to be negative because of what happened..

She is genuinely concerned about her patients and helping them recover.

I am now speaking with my insurance company and trying to get reimbursed by providing them with the information the billing department refused to give them. I selected this practice since I could be seen for an initial eval the day after getting my MRI results. Also, they took our insurance coverage. 1st eval was by Dr. Siegel's PA, who is specially trained in Ortho. She consulted by phone w/ the doctor who was in surgery that day at the hospital. Since the diagnose was ligament damage, a rupture, surgery would be needed for a repair. I came back next day for a surgical consult w/ Dr, Siegel. I was scheduled with-in 3 days for surgical repairs. He does a lot of sports injuries as well as the other Ortho type of problems/repairs. Doc Siegel has an ebullient (Adjective: Cheerful and full of energy) personality ( a good thing) and a direct manner. He answered my questions with information, also a "good thing". Would I recommend Dr. Siegel to family and friends? Yes. Operation went well at MRHosp, but that's a diff review! :) Lots of exam rooms and pleasant waiting area. The equipment seems adequate and the support staff was friendly. Be on time since they kept to their schedule when I was there. The location is functional and clean. There is parking right out front and a ramp to the door. No self opening door so bring a friend to help if you are on crutches, or wheel chair.

He was creative when progress felt at a standstill, and he was able to send us both out into the world pain free, and with an understanding of the underlying issues and the tools to continue to make progress. When I re-injured may knees I knew Chris was the person to turn to and contacted him at his new clinic for an evaluation. He quickly made time for me, did a thorough assessment, quelled my fears about a more severe injury, gave me some exercises to do at home, and told me to check back if things didn't improve. No hard sell or push for additional sessions-- how refreshing! And because it is Chris' own place, you won't be shunted to a PT assistant-- you get 1:1 attention from this kind and knowlegeable man. I wish there were 6 stars to give!

Was referred to to Dr. Colliver at Valley Sports Medicine by my podiatrist. Dr. Colliver did a…read morevisual exam of my feet, a test to see if I had any nerve damage to my feet. It was decided that there was nerve damage and recommended that I get an MRI on my spine to determine if the nerve damage was there. I was then handed a back brace (my back has never hurt). I asked if Medicare paid for the brace and told yes. I never used the back brace. I received a bill for $500 dollars for the back brace. My next visit, I met with Dr. Colliver, he informed me that there was nothing that could be done for the nerve damage, except applying lidocaine or something similar to my feet. The visit was $220 of which I am responsible for $91.48. My point is, Dr. Colliver charges more than is reasonable for very little or professional information (other than the nerve test). When I called their billing department about the bill I received, they told me I should have known what Medicare would pay for and what they should not. Maybe I should have, but no other physician I have ever seen has told me this. In fact, if Medicare does not pay for a cast, insert, or any procedure done, they inform me of that. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC OR DOCTOR. Their services are lacking in skill and profession. Their fees are high and their courtesy is nil.

Was given injections, then told a trial procedure was offered to me if my insurance approved they would set up an appointment. 2 weeks later and appointment was set up. The medication used was Botox, and called into my local pharmacy. When I called the office about insurance not approving the medication I was told by his very rude staff that I should have known. No I should not have It's not my responsibility to know as a patient. It's the doctor's responsibility to explain to me what the procedure is. I was then told that my insurance did not approve the procedure but they would give me a $500 discount I called my insurance company and ask them why the procedure was not approved and my insurance company told me they had never received any paperwork from the doctor's office for any type of prior authorization for the procedure. The appointment was never supposed to be made without my insurance approving to pay for this. The office manager would never call me back and explain to me why she never called my insurance and the doctor called me and told me that she had called my insurance company and yes she had called my insurance company after I had called the office and complained that none of this had taken place. very questionable about how many other people they have taken advantage of and not filed on their insurance. Patients beware.
