Collective Copies prints our holiday cards through the Florence store. Randy has been consistently…read moreresponsive, and incredibly patient and thorough as we mock up the card. When it's designed, Randy emails over a PDF for review, and also offers to print up a proof for our review, so we can see it in-person, before green-lighting the full printing. That gives us a chance to make sure color, edges etc look as we'd hoped. And it's easy to stop over there since the Florence location is only 5 minutes away from our house. They provide envelopes for the cards, and the finished product always looks excellent. Affordable, local, and our dollars go to support a worker-owned cooperative.

Usually, I've had no problems sending my returns through here, but I discovered an exception. An…read moreOld Navy package that I had sent through this UPS store for returns in April ended up at Macy's somehow. I found this out because Macy's sent it back to me in a package that just arrived today, with a note saying that I attempted to return it to Macy's, which I did not. My package was clearly sealed and labeled, and had the printed slip on the inside. But now that I have the package back, it's too late to send back for a refund. I know there's nothing that can be done about it now, but I'm honestly confused as to how a package clearly labeled for returns to one major chain ended up sent through a completely different company's return system. And now I can't get that money back. The Pleasant Street staff are nice and I don't want to be *that* customer, but please do better in the future.

I've been a customer here for years, which makes this experience especially disappointing. A recent…read moreprint order came out incorrectly, and when I brought it up, I was told that checking the proofs was entirely my responsibility. While I understand proofs are important, I felt there was very little effort made to help resolve the issue. After discussing the problem, I was given the impression that a second set would be taken care of to correct the mistake. Instead, I was charged again for the reprint, resulting in paying twice for the same project. The communication was unclear, and I felt misled about what would be done to make things right. What disappointed me most wasn't the printing error itself, but the lack of accountability and customer service after years of being a loyal customer. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider using this business in the future.

I haven't tried their design services but they look pretty professional and are even used by some of the local universities. If you live in Amherst area, are tired of pulling your hair out at the old printing machines at Staples, and want to support a local business, definitely give it a go. A few wonky parts of their website, especially at checkout (I don't get why I need to enter the code from a verification text to access my "stored" payment information if I still need to manually input all of that same information on the next page - seems pretty superfluous), but that's a pretty minor gripe and definitely not one worth removing stars over.

I normally don't leave negative reviews, but I believe it's important to share my experience so…read moreother business owners can make informed decisions. When I first spoke with the owner at Amherst Copy about designing menus for my restaurant, I was told the work would take about 6 hours and be completed within one week, starting around 12/31/2025. Unfortunately, the project was delayed for nearly two months and was not completed until 2/26/2026. During that time, I had to visit the shop many times to review and correct mistakes in the design. Several times they printed sample versions of the menu, and we carefully checked them and marked all the corrections that needed to be fixed. We returned those samples with detailed notes. However, many of the important corrections were not applied, which forced us to repeat the same process multiple times. What was most frustrating was that the time spent correcting these repeated mistakes appeared to be charged to us as hourly design work. In the end, we were billed $1,486, which was extremely surprising considering the delays and the number of errors we had to correct ourselves. Because of these issues, our restaurant opening was delayed while customers kept asking when we would open. We also spent over $500 printing take-out menus and banners, which we ultimately had to throw away because the design could not be used. We eventually had to hire another designer and start the entire menu project again from the beginning. Instead of resolving the situation, the company filed a court case against us, which added even more stress for a small business owner. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service. I encourage other business owners to clearly confirm timelines, revisions, and billing practices before starting a project.

I actually asked her kind of at the last minute and was very grateful that she was available.
