Ciccarelli's - The Amore

I'm not sure why the reviews are so low ... maybe the quality of their place/service and food needs…read moreno reviews. Must see eat- to believe ... who knew Idaho had it in them - there's no potato's involved. The salads are fresh and rewarding to the taste buds Everything is house made. The garlic sauce bread sticks .... Wow. And of course the cannoli...... eclairs - so perfect. Every single thing was that good And I've been to NY .. I also have a seasoned pallet ... I know good food. Go eat it. The locals said to and I did.

Ciccarelli's -- Coeur d'Alene…read more As someone who has traveled extensively -- including throughout Italy, one of my favorite places on earth -- I do not say this lightly: Ciccarelli's serves some of the finest pizza I have ever eaten. And I mean anywhere. Italy included. There is something almost impossible to describe about truly exceptional pizza. At a certain level, words begin to fail because great pizza is not analyzed... it's experienced. It's the kind of food that causes conversations to stop mid-sentence because everyone at the table suddenly realizes something special is happening. That's Ciccarelli's. I've lived in Coeur d'Alene barely three weeks and my wife and I have already been there three times. At this point, resistance appears futile. Every pizza we've tried has been a masterpiece. Not "really good." Not "our favorite in town." Masterpiece. The crust alone deserves poetry -- blistered, wood-fired perfection with that delicate balance of crispness, chew, char, and tenderness that only happens when people truly understand dough. Every ingredient tastes intentional. Nothing feels thrown together. Every bite -- from the tip of the slice to the outer crust -- is a full gastronomic experience. Favorites so far: THAT'S AMORE -- red sauce, pepperoni, Italian sausage, red onion, black olives & mozzarella. THE SPICY ITALIAN -- spicy red sauce, pesto, Italian sausage, red onions, fresh mozzarella, parmesan & basil. Ridiculously good. THE STELLA -- olive oil base, goat cheese, prosciutto, apricot preserves & honey drizzle. Sweet, savory, luxurious, and somehow perfectly balanced. And the Pizza Margherita... Listen carefully: A Margherita pizza is the ultimate truth serum for a pizza restaurant. You cannot hide behind toppings. It exposes everything -- crust, sauce, cheese, balance, restraint, technique. Ciccarelli's passes that test with flying colors. Their Margherita has become my weekly sustenance pizza. And then... The desserts. Good grief. Most restaurants treat dessert like an afterthought. Ciccarelli's treats it like a sacred continuation of the meal. I am slowly working my way through their dessert offerings, but I keep getting derailed by the BLACK BOTTOM COCONUT CREAM PIE. I have been eating coconut cream pie for over seventy years. Seventy. I have NEVER had anything like this pie. The rich saturation of flavor... the generous texture of real coconut... the black bottom... whatever culinary sorcery is occurring back there needs to be protected by national treaty. It is so good that you could honestly justify visiting Ciccarelli's solely for dessert. Also outstanding: * Piña Colada Cream Pie * Strawberry Shortcake Torte * Napoleon * Cannoli The restaurant itself is immaculate, intimate, warm, and beautifully designed. Seating is limited, however, and deservedly so. My advice? Get there early or go on a weekday if possible. They also offer lovely outdoor seating. And finally, the family behind it all. There is something unmistakable about a place built by people who genuinely love what they do, love each other, and love the experience they are creating for others. You can feel it the moment you walk in. That kind of thing cannot be faked. Ciccarelli's is not merely a restaurant. It's one of those rare places people discover and then quietly hope doesn't become too famous because they still want to get a table. An absolute gem in Coeur d'Alene.

Number one... Make a reservation. This place packs up quickly…read more I think you can ask for a window table also in advance. The atmosphere is nice. I liked my meal, but my husband wasn't a fan. My husband had the Cajun or jambalaya type. Salmon dish. It's been about a month since we ate there and I don't remember what I had... But I did like it. Before you order, I would recommend reading reviews on menu items and make your choice from there... But I will still give this place five stars because it's a great place to have lunch or dinner with friends based on the atmosphere. And the service was good.& front of house ... A+

The food here is really delicious! We came here for the first time in August 2025 ( I will attach…read morephotos from then compared to August 2026 ) It is expensive and the portions are small. You can't beat the views though and the cocktails are really good as well. However, compared to our experience in August 2025, which was a 10/10 this time was personally a 6/10 for these reasons: We ordered the shrimp cocktail just like last year and noticed there was one less shrimp (4 instead of 5) We also ordered the halibut with risotto just like last year and the portion was notably smaller with both the fish and risotto this year compared to 1 year ago. Our friend who also ordered the halibut mentioned hers was a bit dry. although I did not notice that on my dish when I ordered the same. Our waiter was nice enough and we didn't go without, but he wasn't that personable and also gave us a real dirty look when we paid after he looked at what we tipped which was very strange. I wouldn't say this years trip here was a disappointment but it was different compared to 1 year ago for these reasons.

My kids absolutely love tomato street…read more It is, without question, their favorite restaurant. So for that, tomato Street gets an extra star over what I would give them. To be fair, tomato street is really kid friendly. They have kids menus, a great kids menu, the tables are all covered in parchment paper, and they bring crayons to the table and the kids can just go crazy. They also stamp the kids menus on to the table. The service is always good at tomato street. The people who work here always friendly. No complaints there. There's a large parking lot on the other side of the building from appleway. No complaints there either. My problem with tomato street is that Italian restaurants are known for their large portion size. This is not the case at tomato street. These portions are so small, when I got my entree, I honestly asked if I had accidentally ordered off of the lunch menu for the lunch portion. But no, that's just how big the portions are at tomato street. And by big I mean small. And does this come with a reduction in price? No it does not. The prices are a little higher than what I would call average, and again, the portion size is very small. The food is good. The service is good. The place has a good ambience. But the reason it gets four stars is because my kids love it.

Mike was our server and took out drink order promptly and returned with yummy garlic bread. We ordered 2 appetizers: the cheesy artichoke dip and the oven baked bollas. The dip was thick and creamy and the bread it came with was toasted and had grated Parmesan on it. My roommate loves the bollas and this time was no different. For my entree, I got the Seafood Manicotti, my roommate got his favorite Twice Baked Spaghetti, and his mom created her own pasta: angel hair pasta with marinara and grilled chicken. The Seafood Manicotti was delicious and flavorful. The creamy Alfredo sauce had perfect texture and the herb filling combined with the seafood gave it layers of goodness. My roommate and his mom, both enjoyed their entrees and had enough to take home for a second meal. Tomato Street doesn't sing happy birthday, however they gave my roommate a complimentary Chocolate Lush dessert, which was nice. I got the Creme Brulee and his mom went with the Tiramisu. Mike accidentally brought me Grandma's Bread Pudding but corrected his mistake. So I ended up with 2 desserts and both were excellent. Birthday celebration was a success, Mike was a great server, and everyone was happy with all the food.

That being said, service was very good. That's the high point. The WINGS were a disappointment. They were akin to Costco's precooked wings, but these were all about presentation versus good taste. Try not petrifying the meat would be a good start. I had one of the hamburger plates. I really liked the fries. These were well prepared. The hamburger on the other hand was lacking any uniqueness or even quality beef. So if you are one of those people that believes a hamburger should be a culinary experience, this is not the dish you want to get here. Okay, I hate to be the negative Nelly, but the worst part of the upscale experience was the crescendo of noise. It crept up on you as the lunch crowd moved in. It was seriously hard to communicate at your own table. The decor offers little to no sound mitigation. Seriously, consider acoustic tiles. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Prices were fair, given our current economic conditions.
