Derek and Tyler, the two movers, were very pleasant and got the one bedroom apartment loaded in about an hour and it all arrived in Joplin with no breakage or other damage. The problems began with the move to AR. Four men showed up to pack up my stuff in Joplin. They underestimated the amount so had to wait for an additional trailer to pack most of the rest, this caused their truck to have issues climbing hills so it was over 2.5 hours to drive the 1.5 hour trip (I took a load in my truck too). For some reason, they decided to only send three men to unload! So after 12 hours they finally "finished" unloading. 5 Star did cap my rate at the maximum they estimated, but it could have been much less, I believe. The reason for the one star is that because of the delays and length of time for the three men unloading, they weren't able to reassembly the beds and furniture as they included in the estimate, and 50+% of my items are scratched, dented, missing parts, or broken! After he looked at what i had to move he gave me a rough estimate. He then told me they charge $100.00 to book the time & day to start the moving process. I then gave the $100.00 deposit in cash. I then asked him for a receipt & he said it would be on the invoice he will send me by email. I said ok & left it at that. He sent me a invoice for the amount that was discussed but there was no information at all showing the $100.00 deposit anywhere on the invoice. I never hear back by him or anyone from Done Right movers. Ive tried calling numerous times & no call back. Tried to text him & no call back. I also emailed a message nothing. At this point i feel by the looks of this that he stole a $100.00 cash i gave to him. As of this day ive received nothing back from him regarding the $100.00 Hes been deceitful & has not even tried to return my deposit or any call back whatsoever & feel that i was talking to a fraud. It is stainless steel so just imagine. It has been a couple of months unpacking and I have found multiple issues of broken things and a big dent in my dryer. Note in their contract they have a little clause saying any damage is paid at .60 cents per pound which means I have a destroyed smart refrigerator that wasn't 3 weeks old and a whole 200$. Seriously?! This move was horrible!!!! I would NOT recommend them.
