After the wife and I's first lunch spot was fully booked (it was a Sunday with beautiful weather, of course we should've made a reservation), we found ourselves on the prowl for a bite to eat.
I've reviewed Nikolas Koulepis's patisserie shop on here before, and give it a glowing review. Well, across the street from there is Pitasserie, his Greek savory spot. We've walked by here numerous times before, and the goodies in the window do a great job of capturing one's eye. This, we decided, was going to be our lunch.
We copped the last two pita bœufs, as well as two freshly made spanakopitas. Both were absolutely delicious. The pita bœuf was so savory and tasty--good sized too I might add. The flakiness of the spanakopitas were also something to be admired. Both were bursting with flavor.
They only do takeaway, as there's no place to sit, but just one shop down you may find a bench outside a traitor. Go in a grab a drink from there, sit your butt down, and mow down on this deliciousness. read more
