The wife and I love Habibi, on Bailli, and Semsom is owned by the same owner. The menu may be different, but they share the text that's it's Lebanese food and use much of of the same products.
We decided to grab lunch here. When we arrived, on a Saturday, a bit after 12:30, the place was pretty empty. They recently did a complete renovation, so maybe people don't know they're open yet?
We both ordered a Falafel Wrap and shared an order of the Halloumi Fries. Although the food does look good, it was pretty bland. The Halloumi Fries definitely needed some salt, and even though you could see some za'atar and sumac on there, it was hard to detect a taste other than cheese. Wasn't really a fan of the falafel either. Texture was off, and inside the wrap it was again, bland.
I give it three stars because it was fine. I would maybe try the Halloumi Wrap and the Beirut Nachos next time... But there probably won't be a next time. read more
