I have never tried tahchin before but it was lovely. It's similar to tahdig in that it is a rice dish with a crispy bottom, but is binded with eggs and yogurt. The dish was a bit heavy on its own, the side salad with yogurt dressing was absolutely necessary to add a little freshness to the large portion of rice. The koobideh wrap was great and will look forward to getting that again.

The plaza lot had plenty of parking spaces as I have rarely seen it more than 3/4 occupied. The capacity was sufficient for at least 50 customers with tables and a central countertop for seating. The menu boards featured halal-certified meat in case that mattered for those who adhere to such dietary practices. Seven different half-pound Skillet Burgers and a Beyond Burger (using an Impossible Patty) made up the left section. Two double patty versions, three Skillet Sandwiches, and Wings were in the middle sections. Skillet Dogs, Skillet Wraps, Sides, and Shakes comprised the remainder of the menu categories. I arrived around 9 pm on a weeknight which meant they were still open for another two hours. That's good for the night owls. My choices were an OG Dog that I consumed on-site and a Brisket Melt that I took home for leftovers. The all-beef frank was dressed with halal bacon, caramelized onions, American cheese, ketchup, mayo, and mustard. The three sauces drizzled on top of the hot dog completely masked the flavors of the other components. I think a little less usage would have been prudent. The Brisket Melt was prepared on Texas Toast and sliced in half diagonally. Slow cooked brisket, three cheese blend, caramelized onions, pickles, house sauce, and BBQ sauce were the ingredients. The item was placed inside a round aluminum tin for takeout. The sandwich was dense and full of flavor from the meat and sauces. I am glad I chose this over a half pound burger which would have overstuffed me. I gave a four star rating for my visit to Urban Skillet.
