My Mom and I went to the Lake Orion location of Pita Way last night and had a great experience! First off, want to give a huge shout out of thanks to the guy working last night--his energy and positivity was infectious! (Sorry I didn't catch his name!) After I told him my Mom was new to Pita Way he offered to go over the menu or answer any questions we had. He was so fantastic, making recommendations about what to include in our Sandweeches--everything he recommend we try was excellent! We each had a Sandweech (pita wrap) w fried chicken, yellow rice, tomatoes, pickles, the pickled cabbage (forget what it's called), pickled turnip (forget what it's called), hummus, and garlic spread, w the house dressing. So good!!! The perfect amount of every flavor in every bite! I've done the bowls before, but think the wrap is where it's at, as far as flavor-disbursement! We got a couple of felafel too--delicate insides, crunchy outsides, with a nice garlic bite, which we both loved! We snagged a package of baklava, that did not disappoint! We each had some for dessert and had the rest this morning with coffee. Divine. The baklava was not overly sweet, the perfect blend of crispy filo and nut filling! Definitely going back soon, so my hubby can try out what's fast becoming my favorite "fast food" place. read more

We have ordered the family feast twice now so we can have loads of leftovers! Pita Way is great "fast food" but doesn't compare to more authentic establishments, especially their garlic or hommous. It's still cheap, convenient, and delicious. They also serve a heck of a lot of rice as a filler. read more

I LOVE Pita Way!! I'm so excited that I caught their special earlier in the fall for a DOUBLED $50 gift card. I've still got a treat lunch or two left for myself. I already loved them when I saw they had an awesome (perfect, or close to it?) rating from the health department. Since I work with food too, I know that's a big deal. Finally decided to try Pita Way and was excited based off all the good reviews. I ordered a chicken schwarma sandwich, with pickled turnips and pickles + garlic sauce. Barely any garlic sauce, few pickles, and the pickles turnips were all at one end. The sandwich was so small. For $7.99, when I can get the same item 15 minutes down the road for $5, i was not that thrilled. The chicken was ok, at best, but didn't have the typical schwarma flavor. Husband ordered a gyro. Equally as small as the schwarma. Nothing exciting. I also tried the hummus. This was DELICIOUS. I'd return for just hummus if I had to. We had a coupon for buy one, get one 50% off but no coupon code so we couldn't use it online when we ordered and it wasn't listed as an available offer. Their online menu indicates a sauce sampler, I was hoping to get garlic, hummus and baba, but sadly that wasn't an option when ordering online. Overall our experience was nothing to write home about. Probably won't be back unless I am having that hummus craving and don't feel like driving 15 minutes down the road. read more

Last week we ordered sandwiches again and I cannot put my finger on it, maybe just less of the ordered ingredients? but they were just not near as good as they used to be. I have been to this restaurant a few times now and really like it. The food, staff and prices are all very good. The only complaint I have is that their pita bead is plain/simple, pretty much what you'd get at a grocery store. With the word "Pita" in their name, you'd think they would be making warm homemade pita bread daily. I will definitely be going back to eat here again, but if they ever start making fresh pita bread, I would make it a weekly stop. read more
