This is not acceptable treatment of your customers! He was the only person in the restaurant, was about to spend money, and yet this is how he was treated.. clearly Jersey Mikes has NO respect for the working class! I order the Maple Almond Latte which was not bad... but I wanted more maple & almond flavour. The presentation was lacking with just the cinnamon thrown on top. I guess I've been spoiled by cafes with cute little designs. Also all the flavor hangs out at the bottom... so next time I'll be sure to mix my drink before consuming. I also ordered their Mini Croissant which looked way better than it tasted. Instagram cute... flavour kinda forgettable. It had a piece of chocolate in it... The barista asked if I wanted it heated up and regrettably I declined. It would have been better to have that chocolate melted. Now the staff friendly and welcoming, which always makes any experience better. Again the atmosphere was stunning. One of the main reasons I'd come back. They have a section where they have all these big pillows. I loved that. Outside they had free 20-minute parking... the alternative was 10$ so I didn't stay very long. Overall I would recommend coming for the vibes not necessarily the specialty drinks. But to be fair I haven't tried them all. They also had pizza which looked very good and I overheard the barista say Sundays are their busiest day.

Prices are very reasonable. The bread has a perfect texture and taste in every bite, whether eaten alone or with the wide selection of deli meats (love that they will do thinly sliced that melt in your mouth) and cheese. I'm also happy to see that they offer nitrite free chicken or turkey as well. I also tried the mini pizzas. They were ok for a quick bite. The staff are pleasant, and quickly ask if we need help. The deli counter can be a bit slow depending on who looks after you. The place is small and gets busy. Lunchtime is also busy when customers drop in for Italian hot food takeout. Overall, I recommend this bakery. Some of the regular customers recommended the hot meatball or chicken/veal sandwiches loaded with grilled veg so I'll probably try those next.

I'm not sure if this was actually what caused the Subway to go out of business but I wouldn't be surprised. You're greeted with classic deli smell when you walk in. To the right is the bakery counter with desserts like cannolis and cookies. Since it was close to Thanksgiving, there were full sized pies available. I'm told that on the weekdays, that's a hot counter that has great lunch options. The back of the store has the deli counter that has a big selection of meats and cheeses. We went with salami and pastrami on this occasion. To the left of this counter are all the breads. Some are on racks while others are in baskets that you can grab with tongs. We grabbed some kaiser rolls here. The middle section of the store are grocery items. There were a lot of Italian specialties that and artisan goods available. There was flavoured risotto, herbed olive oil, and those big Italian cakes that come in a box for Christmas but was pumpkin flavoured for fall!

We arrived around 11am on a long weekend and they had plenty of tables available, but by the time we were leaving, all the tables were full. You need to order your food first and get seated after. They bring your order to you, but if you need a coffee refill, or milk and cream, you need to pick them up yourself at the station. Coffee refill was a challenge for us, since we had to go through all other tables and wait for the staff to refill our coffee, and even there were times they were out of milk and had to drink our coffee black. We ordered "Key West Eggs", "Crepe au Fraises", "Slow Roasted Lamb" and "Canadian Peameal Back Bacon". Our food was delicious and we would love to go back and try more of their menu items. Just expecting delays for our coffee this time. Lol

The Balsamic Chicken (with bacon, goat cheese, roasted red peppers, spinach and pesto aioli) was fantastic, and had excellent flavours. The side dipping sauce was delicious. The Florence St. Sandwich (with tomatoes, artichokes, Asiago and sun dried tomato pesto) was good, but I didn't enjoy the flavours as much so would probably try something different the next time. I would have preferred to select my own bread since the ciabatta and panini was hard to cut through with a knife - it got messy. It would have been better if it was cut in half before being served to the customer to make it easier to eat. After ordering from the counter, there was sign to wait to be seated. Service just to get seated was extremely slow. In the end, we asked someone if we could seat ourselves, which we did. The food was then brought to the table, but it was confusing since we had to get up again to go to a different counter to put cream and sugar in our coffee. Although the portion size of the chicken and ingredients were good, the sandwiches were pricey considering there was no table service, and seating was disorganized. It would be difficult to host large groups or families here. It would have been ok to reduce the amount of chicken to cut costs and price since there were two thick layers of meat. Ambiance was good.
