Diner style restaurant could use an update
Lisa F.

We had gone to the Saint Augustine Fish, Camp restaurant and loved it! This Fishcamp, however, was a huge disappointment. Somehow the fish and chips were tasteless. I didn't even know that was possible! Plus, the fries were soggy and the distracted, waitress scowled at a 15% tip. Do not recommend. There are lots of other places in this area that are excellent.

Pleasntly surprised. Last time we were at a DIFFERENT "fish camp" we got fish eyes looking at us!! Anyway...THIS place was AMAZING! Food was reasonably priced, DELICIOUS and the service was EXCEPTIONAL! Thank you Lexi for a great experience. You were pleasant, funny and served us well WITHOUT hovering. Even though it was a bit busy, all worked in synch with each other. Also want to mention the CLEAN bathrooms & restaurant. This restaurant will be on our place to bring guests...Oh and we'll be back.

A friendly and good restaurant to rest and relax after a hike right by the Pisgah National Forest. They have your typical fried seafood fare you'd see at any fish camp style place. There are options for grilled and blackened, but not in the combo platter selection. The crab cakes and oysters are an up charge from the pricing they indicate. Everything was cooked well, I especially enjoyed the baked potato. It's simple but hard to get right - super fluffy and not charred. The coconut meringue pie was a great finish!

Very easy to pass if you are not paying attention. Building from the outside was not typically what I would eat at, but I'm glad I was talked into it. The food was surprisingly good, and good portion size. I kinda felt like I was in a nursing home sometimes...easily one of the youngest customers today. I guess the reason for them being open for so many years is the good food. I would like to come back during the week for the under $11.00 seafood buffet, unfortunately it is shut down on Sundays. They did have all you can eat chicken on Sundays, also for under $11.00. You need to try the fries!! They are amazing. I would give 5 stars for food.

Great place if you looking for a nice hearty lunch. The service was slow in the sense that serving staff is not very attentive. However, I must say, they are very nice and once you get their attention they do work on helping and assist in you right away. The ambience is fantastic! And the locals are super friendly and welcoming! I love it! very cozy, clean and welcoming. The vegetable soup 7 out of 10-was very well made vegetables with fresh meat was delicious very tasty soup just a little bit bland. The salmon I give it a 2 out of 10, well seasoned... however slightly overcooked and not fresh. Thr salmon was previously frozen. So it has a little bit of fish game taste, make sure to use your lemon heavily and it will taste better. The onion rings were they highlight of the meal they were freshly made crispy Savory.... perfectly seasoned 10 out of 10. The potato salad was mustard/mayo based, a little bit acidic 4 out if 10. Hush Puppies! how can you go wrong with Hush Puppies! 10 out of 10. The shrimp is grilled to perfection not overly spiced but not fresh (previously frozen) 3 out of 10. Mashed potatoes 4 of 10. French fries 2 out of 10. All in all this is a good place to stop by if you looking for warm familiar meal.

Amazing salmon! Must try

We loved the food. The salmon was perfection, and the fries and hush puppies were yummy. My husband and son (who ate free because he's under 5!) got the fried founder. The delicious food was complimented by extremely wonderful and hospitable servers. I've heard good things about their fried okra and collard green sides, will try next time. The green beans were too sour for my liking, but everything else was very satisfying and reasonably priced :)

Food is a good value, we got double combos of flounder and shrimp all very good, collard greens were also great!

This was an excellent find, coming down from blue ridge mountain, right at the junction. We had grilled rainbow trout and blacken flounder, both were excellent choices. Friendly server and very clean restaurant. Will definitely go back.

Love Fish Camp. Can't wait till they open again. I miss being able to go eat wonderful seafood before concerts at Brevard Music venues.

The ambience is old time fish camp, and the food was great! I had fried oysters and grilled scallops. Nothing fancy, but quite yummy!

0/5 if possible. expensive, bad food, rude staff, dirty. got food poisoning…read more there was a 30 minute wait, and a family next to us sat, got served, and left, before we even ate. the curtains next to us were incredibly dusty, and there were at least two flies that me and my mom had to swat consistently before and after our food arrived. both me and my mother got sick, I ordered the scallop mac n cheese and she got crab legs. the Mac and cheese was 28 dollars, but it tasted like Velveeta, and the scallops (fried and battered) tasted slimy and one of them had a bitter/sour aftertaste. not to mention, the scallops really didn't taste like much. my mother consistently had to crack and re-crack her crab legs because they were so difficult to open, and I typically enjoy eating the joint meat, but some of the meat there was green. im unsure if it was just algae, some harmless growth, or disease, but it was visible even before mom started to eat. she said the legs could have been boiled more. our server was very quick to give us our receipt, even though it took him a GOOD while to serve us. when mom called in yesterday for a refund, she mentioned that the manager "didn't know how to issue one" and that they'd call back later, but it's the next day around 2pm and she hasn't received a call back or a refund. lastly, on the way home, I started to experience mustle cramps, nausea, and later on extreme fatege, soreness, headaches, and little to no appetite. my mom is starting to show the same symptoms today. yummy fries and ketchup tho. the ketchup tasted homemade! i really enjoyed the decorations too, it was ship/pirate themed. very fun to look around. besides that tho, awful experience. please avoid.
