The weight room is so small, no room to move around. If you have 4 people there, it's already crowded. Equipments look outdated but still functional. Gym and bathrooms are clean. When winter sets in or bad weather in any season makes you stagnant, this place is GREAT. I have not had the opportunity to take advantage of many classes (yet) but the options are diverse. Are you kidding-- PICKLEBALL is awesome and it is HERE... why would you NOT want to participate? The cardio room is quiet and simple, but you can plug in your earpods or just turn on the tv for music or whatever, let the fan blow right on you and go for it. Stairs, elliptical and treadmills. all there and ready for you in a quiet awesome setting. I don't know about you, but when I am here, there is hardly anyone else here. It is like a private gym. I had a power outage this winter and just had to take a shower. I had my key to the gym and on Christmas Day, I had access and took a quick but welcome shower. What a BLESSING. This place is amazing. If you want an OUTLET to help you make contacts with people, programs, fitness options... this is the place. What a gem for the community. Thank you, Community Fitness!

The gym was a very nice gym. It wasn't too crowded and had a lot machines to workout on. You have your cardio machines and free weights and much more. If you staying at the hotel next door. I highly recommend coming here because the hotel gym isn't the best. If you want a good workout then come to this gym. The staff were really nice and loved how they make shakes at the shake bar they have. Each staff member had a smile and looked like they wanted to be there. At the shake bar, You can get a shake for only 8 bucks I believe. It wasn't expensive at all. The place is cleanish if that makes sense. It's a gym so it's hard to fully clean the gym. The lockerroom and bathroom was very clean. I felt really safe at the gym and comfortable. It was really nice to have an atmosphere like that while you are working out. All equipment was very well kept up in maintenance and didn't feel old and run down like some gyms are. I was really happy about that. Overall, I give them a 4.4 out of 5 because there isn't really any accessories in the gym like hot tube etc but highly recommend them to have a good workout.

Evolve, however, seems to be a pretty good gym with a ton of group classes, which is why I go there. Yes, it is older. It would be nice if someone would listen to all the reviews that say it would be nice if it were updated and was open the hours they say they will be.

Whether you're an avid yoga practitioner or have been contemplating trying yoga for the first time, it's an absolute must. My only warning is that you'll be hard pressed to find a better experience once you step foot in the studio. I started practicing with the founders, Jeri Wilson and Susan Golden, more than 10 years ago when I was 16. Both continue to teach at the studio even though it recently changed hands and is now owned by Kathleen Haberstock. But I have to say, Jeri and Susan spoiled me and my yoga experience for the rest of my life. I've lived in big cities from the east coast to the west and I still come back to the joy of these teachers and this studio. This place is truly a community. From the teachers who lead classes to the students who take the time out of their day to practice with one another in this space, it feels like coming home whenever I take a class. There is an abundance of teaching styles and multiple class levels so it's always easy to find something that fits what you need and where you are in your life and your physical ability. They offer events and teacher trainings and host teachers from other studios who bring something different to the table and allow this small community to experience world-class talent. If you're reading this and just discovering School Street Yoga for the first time, I urge you to take a class and see how lucky Waterville is to have a studio of this caliber. And if you're reading this and you already know what I'm talking about, this is your friendly reminder to return to the studio and your practice. You won't regret it.
