Kineo with a plethora of mountain views (including Katahdin in the distance) lake views and potentially some moose! Feeling spendy? For $135 you'll have the pleasure of spending an hour with Jack in his 4-seater plane all the way to Mt. Katahdin for some views of the end of the Appalachain Trail that will make you feel like you hiked it yourself. I definitely recommend a trip in the fall to view all of the changing leaves. Jack is a well-versed pilot having flown for Delta for over 35 years and having done this air service for over 15. He now offers rides in his Cessna 180 and 181, two very adorable blue and maroon sea planes. Need a ride? He will pick you up from Bangor International and drop you off at remote camp sites, if you're visiting the remotest parts of Vacationland. As a last minute desire, just as I was getting ready to leave town, I enquired about a seaplane ride with Jack's Air Service. They were very accommodating in making it possible on the fly, (pun intended) that morning. Josh, my pilot was professional, friendly and made sure to point out the landmarks we flew over as well as point out several moose along the way.
