(Expect 45-1h wait time.) not bad as there are a lot of cute shops around. Both me and my partner got the Belmont breakfast. Has a bit of everything ($23) I gave my partner the bread and got his salad. He said the bread was really good. I really enjoyed my salad nice and fresh not sure what kind of leaves was used. First time I see that shape. Back to salad it was light and a little bit sweet. Potatoes are the next best thing on my plate. I like them he spice that was used, I added a but more salt on mine. The breakfast sausage did not give me heartburn... not guaranteeing anything but worth mentioning. I believe they were lighter in oil simply. My partner always trades them for bacon. I only got a half sausage, he had the rest. The last thing I want to mention is less positive. I usally like breakfast beans. Got excited when I saw the black beans. However, really disappointed nothing more than warmed out black beans. Not what I would expect from breakfast beans. I expect a maple or sugar flavour. You can pay $5 to add to your breakfast... mine came with them but I would skip. Unless unflavoured black bean is your thing.

It is a wonderful place for a beer and a coze. On a cold wet winter night, this almost cave like spot is perfect. This past Friday we stepped in for dinner. We ordered off the concise menu. My choice was the Lamb Curry Wrap, lamb in a curry sauce, with roasted mushrooms, and melted cheddar in a wrap, and herbed sour cream. It was delicious and came with a salad (option for fries instead if you wish) which was a perfect compliment. There is also a Specials board so check that out too. They have a nice selection of beverages: beer, wine, mixed drinks. Something for everyone. One thing I always like here is the accoustics 'bubble'. Conversation is all around me, yet I can have a great conversation in my group and not hear what any other group is chatting about. Service by the way is top notch. Attentive when you need something but not hovering when you don't. That is, someone shows up when you need them.

Food was only okay: dinner menu was an eclectic take on pub classics. The lamb curry wrap was quite tasty, with a yogurt sauce cutting the slight heat of the curry. Black bean dip, burger, and pasta dish was okay, average, nothing memorable. This place is great for a drink, and their brunch options look wonderful as well, but perhaps not for an evening meal.

He also made the most amazing iced tea drink I've ever had, I'll have to return to get another one sometime soon!! The restaurant was lit with low, warm lighting (which I always appreciate) and not too densely packed. It wasn't busy when we visited despite being a Friday evening, so it wasn't too loud at all. Great decor, with wacky paintings that Jamil was able to tell us about. Amazing service and yummy food, though absolutely a bit pricey. Also, the bathroom is located downstairs and there are a couple other steps within the restaurant so I'm not sure that it would be fully accessible, though perhaps sitting on the patio would be possible for anyone with mobility issues. Overall, would recommend for anyone looking for a fun meal and slightly eccentric vibes.

The food, however, was mediocre overall. We had the albacore tuna sashimi and foie gras terrine to start. The sashimi was actually a nice portion of thick cut sashimi, but the sauce and garnishes could have complemented the tuna a bit better. The foie gras terrine was ok - not enough crostinis to go with the foie gras. Flavour wasn't too strong. For the pappardelle, it looked like chunks of pork belly instead of pig cheek? The pork belly was nice and crispy but overly salty. On the other hand the pappardelle and sauce was super bland with zero flavour. Overall, the food didn't meet my expectations.
