Do NOT recommend. Wedding planner Madeline (doesn't seem like she works here anymore - started her own business kinda seemed like drama.. but I digress) did not show up to the wedding (isn't that your literal one job?) and gave less than a 24 hrs notice. Her "replacement" Caren was incompetent, unfriendly and extremely unhelpful - which led to so much stress on the part of the mother of the bride and the maid of honor. Stephanie showed up at the beginning to help put welcome bags in the rooms, but past that didn't do anything. Piper met with the parents of the bride and the hotel owner HOURS before bride walked down the aisle and Piper didn't say a word (didn't introduce herself or even say hello). Horrible representation as a business owner. For these prices - like are you insane... Wedding planner went over budget and messed up names on invitations and gave NO remedy for this. Further, we asked for a refund / some sort of compensation for the chaos that was Madeline bailing on the wedding and sending someone whose job could have been better done by a 4 year old -- NO response, we sent several emails and nothing - EXTREMELY unprofessional and we are super upset. Stephanie was our day of coordinator and she was simply the BEST! I can't thank her enough for every thing she's done for me. We had a lot of little road bumps along the way but she calmed my nerves and she held my hand throughout the entire process. She was so organized, had a great list of vendors who she highly recommended, and the day of- she was there ensuring me that everything would be ok. Okay, so I wasn't the bride who booked this company - but I was the bridesmaid for the bride who went through Piper & Muse. I felt compelled to write a review. They are the best! I mean.. Truly paid attention to details, carried out the event accordingly and smoothly, when things didn't go right, Piper ensured everything would be take care of. I went to their website and read their philosophy - and they pretty much did what they promised and more! I commend these crew of three. My best friend, the bride enjoyed her wedding - despite some set backs from the weather and all. Our coordinator, Jamie, was a LIFESAVER. No exaggeration. There's no way my husband and I could have had the wedding of our dreams without her help, coordination, and management. Even though we paid for just the last month and day-of coordination, Jamie was available anytime with vendor suggestions and advice. I used her suggestions for florists and linens, and both vendors were favorites at my wedding! Whenever I was stressed about something, I knew she was just a call, text, or email away. She was always prompt and super helpful. On the days leading up to the wedding and the actual day, Jamie showed us just how necessary it is to have a coordinator. She stayed on top of vendors, created a master timeline for all of the wedding party and our parents, stayed at the church/reception hall while vendors set up, organized all deliveries, cut the cake, cleaned up post-party, and solved many a would-be crisis on the actual wedding day with poise. I got sick for an hour after overheating in my dress, which was totally embarrassing, and Jamie made me feel calm and kept my groom informed without drawing attention to our guests that I was missing. I knew that our party was in safe hands with Jamie at the helm. After the wedding, she has still kept everything under control! Our priest didn't sign our marriage license because he had to leave unexpectedly, and she coordinated with him, the church, and my mother-in-law to get everything signed Sunday and ready to go while we're on our honeymoon. We didn't even have to ask! Brides, take it from me and hire a wedding coordinator for your big day. Enjoy the last moments with your family and don't stress about vendor drop-off, set-up, and any mishaps that may happen the day-of. Jamie was worth every penny and more for her services! Let me start out by saying, I am a control freak who believes I can do it all. When my daughter's wedding came along, I railed against the idea of a "wedding planner for a family event". Of all the days to bother her, I texted Piper AT the summer bridal show and, lo and behold, she immediately texted me back! She assigned Stephanie to our November wedding and we had nothing but compliments and positive remarks about the flawlessness of the occasion from start to finish. Stephanie did not overlook a single detail; she anticipated our needs and was able to make adjustments as the need arose. Broken necklace: fixed. Need a hair pin: here you go. She brings an entire case of pins, glue, tape, needles and thread, tools for repairs. I swear she even has a magic wand! She did not take over - as I feared - but was more like a friend and family member orchestrating a symphony from behind the curtain. I hired Stephanie as my wedding coordinator and she did such a fantastic job! We hired her after we selected our date and venue and she was heavily involved after that. I felt nervous about executing on the decor of the wedding and she helped me get through it all, while listening to what I liked and disliked and offering helpful suggestions from there. She has a great list of vendors she likes to work with and that saved us a ton of time and research. Her recommended vendors also executed well and made our wedding a day we will never forgot! I was an incredibly organized type A bride and I was so pleased at how easy and comfortable working with Stephanie was. I would text her and email her random thoughts, suggestions, and questions that came to mind, even if during the wee hours of the night and she would respond promptly and keep it all organized. Piper was great from beginning to end. She came to all of our vendor meetings and had so many suggestions from cakes, flowers, photographer and photo booths. She even called everybody to make sure that everyone was accounted for before our wedding. She also worked great with all our vendors. No complaints at all. She was always available when we needed her and she went out of her way on our wedding day to make sure that everything went well. She even helped me pick up tuxes (they were way too big) for our two ring bearers when we were short on time. She went all the way to the distribution center to make sure they looked great! Stephanie is an amazing wedding planner! She helped us throughout the entire process. Being that we were planning a wedding in Houston from out of town, we needed someone reliable and Stephanie went over and beyond for us. We meet with Piper and her associate in April, when trying to find a wedding planner for our October 2015 wedding. She arrive late, and the location she picked was closed so we were forced to drive to a 2nd location. The whole thing was pretty unprofessional and did not inspire confidence in her ability to plan and execute a wedding. My husband and I worked with Piper and Muse for our wedding, and chose their day-of coordinator package. We don't live in Texas currently, so a lot of our wedding planning was done over the phone and email, with a few long-weekend trips in the months leading up. We were fairly organized with the planning, but knew we wanted someone who would help handle set up, details and flow through the day, help our wedding parties and families know where they needed to be and when, and breakdown. We didn't want to be the point people for this on our wedding day. Our coordinator was Jamie Brown, and she is just fantastic. She came on board about a month before the wedding and started taking over communicating with our vendors to for day-of details. She came with me to our reception venue for a walk-through three weeks before the wedding to learn the layout of our ballroom and talk through plans with the catering manager. She talked me through my plans for the wedding day and helped me make a schedule that made everything run so incredibly smoothly. The week of the wedding, my husband and I met with Jamie to run through the decorations we'd bought and DIY-ed, and explained how we wanted everything set up. She even came to our rehearsal. On the day of the wedding, my husband and I didn't have to worry about anything except getting ready. Jamie and her assistant coordinated all of the deliveries and setup. Everyone in the wedding party was where they needed to be at the right time. When we saw our ballroom after the ceremony, everything had been set up exactly as we'd envisioned. During the reception, I know Jamie was running around working hard, and there were absolutely no problems for us to handle- she put out all the fires. She handed out our tips for our vendors. My husband and I were able to enjoy our party with our guests knowing everything was handled. After our exit, Jamie brought us a brown-bag dinner from the reception, and made sure all of our keepsakes were packed and made it safely home with our parents. Throughout the planning process, Jamie was so professional and so fun to work with. She was always responsive and accessible via email, texts, or phone calls. She handled our long-distance planning, a separate ceremony site and reception site, out of town guests, and my non-English speaking family with humor, calm, and grace. She was still cheerful at the end of the night, after a very long wedding day. Hiring a day of coordinator, and particularly working with Piper and Muse, was one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding. We were so happy to work with Jamie, who went above and beyond our expectations for a coordinator. Our experience was well-worth the price of their day-of coordinator package. read more

Hiring Piper for partial wedding planning was the best decision I made related to our wedding, besides marrying my husband. I was on the fence first about using any sort of wedding planner, but Piper made every penny worth it. I was actually able to enjoy the wedding planning process and the actual wedding day because I knew Piper and her team were there to help me through the whole process. From helping negotiate vendor contracts, giving vendor recommendations (who all ended up having the same high level of quality and service), creating the day of timeline and executing it to perfection, to everything in between, Piper exceeded expectations. She was professional and friendly in all of our interactions, and typically responded within minutes of emailing her. I ended up using a lot of her vendor recommendations (i.e. caterer, florist, linens) and when they all found out I was working with Piper they seemed to relax instantly and know that everything was going to be handled professionally from there on out. Piper and her team really made it so that all I had to worry about on the day of the wedding was getting beautified and not tripping down the aisle. My daughter's wedding was absolutely beautiful and ran smoothly because of Piper & Muse. I was so impressed with Piper Hatfield's attention to detail, her organization and her accessibility. And, she knows everyone in the wedding biz and they know her! We had originally hired another wedding planner and within 3 months realized we had made a big mistake. Then my daughter and I thought we could tie up all the loose ends ourselves--ha! We soon realized that we had more loose ends than we knew. I had met Piper coincidentally when I had been touring possible venues. When I called her, now several months after the coincidental meeting, she remembered me. She agreed to take us on and asked me to bring her up to date on where we were. At that point she recommended coming on as a "day of consultant" which began 8 weeks prior to the wedding day. What impressed me most is that she became active immediately after our phone conversation and before she even received back the signed contract. I state all of this just to illustrate her professionalism and her true involvement in helping make a wedding a truly beautiful memory.
