I took in an expensive stainless steel muffler which had split some seams in the case, spoke with Roger. I was very satisfied with the work, which was done quickly and at a reasonable price. These folks are very experienced, professional to the core, friendly and honest. Great work ethics. I'd give them 6 stars if I could. By the way, as per their website, the name "Pipeworks" is actually one word, not two. That could affect online searches for this business. read more

Several months ago as I was moving my Weber propane grill, it fell on its side breaking the section of the metal lid that connects to the grill. One welding shop started the weld and partially melted the lid; several other shops said they could not weld that type of metal. Bear Welding referred me to Roger Sanderson, owner of Pipeworks Fabrication, saying if anybody can fix this, he can. Roger then explained to me that too much heat was applied by the other welder - he used the wrong mix of gas. Roger is certified for all types of aircraft and marine welding; he fully understands welding and maintains a variety of gases which enables him to create the proper mixture to attain the desired heat. The WORST business. THE OWNER is UNPROFESSIONAL AND ROOT. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I asked them if they will be able to fabricate Circus Cube. I showed them the parts what i had( the cube is made from aluminum tubes and stainless steel corners), I had them. So i needed to cut the tubes to 58" and to to drill the holes in them also drill the holes in the corners to be able to put the cube together with 8/32 stainless bolts. Roger (the oner of this terrible place) told me what it should not take him more then an hour or hour and a half do get the job done. He is charging 75$ an hour.So it should not be more than150$ total. Saying that, he was repeating how honest he is and how dishonest other people in this business. Then he promised what he will do the best job and i will be happy with results. He also promised he will order 8/32 bolts for the project. I asked him about an estimate for polishing tubes for additional cost, and we agreed what he will call me on the price before polishing. When i asked him how long is it going to take, he told me "MAY BE NEXT WEEK" I had some time to wait and called him in one week. HE TOLD ME TO WAIT ONE MORE WEEK. In one more week "NEXT MONDAY" Next monday he told me what he had to do some extra work (like polishing not even asking me if i want it or not) and it took him 4 hours instead hour or hour and a half to get the job done. When i asked him how much it will cost, he went up from not more then 150 to 300. Finally I had to pay double price. BUT THAT IS NOT THE WORST!!! When i tried to put together the CUBE at home i discovered following errors: THE holes for the bolts was different size(not 8/32 but size 10 which is bigger) THE holes was not in the right place,So when i tried to put the cube together the holes on the corners was so off ,it was not possible to assemble the Cube. On one tube they drilled the holes on the wrong side. The length of the tubes was 59and 1/4 instead of 58" And the polishing job was done terrible. So everything was done wrong. When i came back to the shop to complain, the ONER Roger start talking to to me in the bad way, using words like "SHUT THE F....UP,ant screaming what i can leave my stuff with him and he will take a look at it WHENEVER HE HAS A CHANCE.AND IF HE NEEDS TO FIX HIS MISTAKES I WILL HAVE TO PAY EXTRA!!!!! (ON TOP OF WHAT I PAID HIM 300$ INSTEAD OF 150) I told him what I'm not going to pay more money and what if he would of let me know at the beginning what he is not capable of this job i would go to another place. ON WHAT HE SCREAMED AT ME WHAT I HAVE TO SHUT TH F...UP AND GO TO ANOTHER PLACE. I wish there was no businesses like this. And i wish i could do something about it. I Just don't want other people to to be fooled by this place. I wil even file a claim for this in the court. Hope there is something to bring people like Roger to JUSTICE. read more

Had a great experience today with Pipeworks. I was there when Roger (owner) opened the shop at 8:00. He quickly inspected my small (but relatively complex) job repairing an aftercooler for a diesel engine. He pointed out an additional repair that might be necessary and asked me to come back in an hour. I was out of there by 9:15. Same day service and a very reasonable price. read more

There was some aggrivation dealing with this outfit. The boat exhaust was welded to a part that was to be replaced if necessary. It was not inspected as agreed upon. Therefore the whole job had to be done over. The owner did not want to credit for the wasted labor that was already paid for. They did do the correction in one day, to their credit, since the problem was not discovered until the part was to be installed. I don't know the overall reliabilty of this place. The work that was re done was fine. They have a lot of hard to find parts and in the end, the owner did some off on the bill, but only after considerable discussion. So I would rate this one as a, "toss up." read more

if you need something fabricated and welded in a reasonable time go elsewhere. I have been put off time and again on my project after he made me pay a large deposit. Roger has a contract with welding missiles and that is his priority. Very unprofessional. THE WORST IS RIGHT ON! read more

I have dealt with this company for weil over 15 years, using them to fabricate marine exhaust systems, fuel tanks, fly bridges, and many other items for commercial boats. Friends of mine have had helicopter exhaust systems fabricated and the USCG uses them for specialty fuel tanks. They are also involved with professional off road races as far as welding is concerned. They are exceptional fabricators with stainless, aluminum, titanium and I have never had anything done there that wasn't perfect or made to be perfect. The owner is a perfectionist and takes pride in everything he does. Not everything is communicated well or completely understood between parties for someone to create something from a drawing, fabricating from an old piece or creating something from scratch but my experience is that Pipeworks has the best craftsman around and many professional companies use them for their attention to detail, reliability, honesty and abilities. read more
