Be careful when you order a beer here. I ordered a 23oz craft beer special here one time. The waitress brought the beer in a mug smaller than a 16 oz pint glass. The mug was even marked on the inside at 400ml. I explained to her that there was no way that was 23 oz since 1 US fluid oz was equal to 30ml. 400 ml / 30 ml is 13.3 oz (not 23 oz). I told her I was a chemist and I deal with liquid volumes for a living. She came back with the manager and told me they measured the glasses and I was incorrect. After arguing for a while, the manager got tired and gave me a free beer. It's water under the bridge but I think that if they advertise a beer for 23 oz, they should serve it as 23 oz and not 13 oz. Gas stations get fined for not having their pumps calibrated to the proper volumes. I think the same should be true for restaurants and bars. I used to go here quite a bit but I haven't been back since this happened. I didn't like the way I was treated. I don't think I will ever go back. The atmosphere is nice and food is good which is why I am giving it two stars instead of one. read more

the wife and I stopped by for some lunch after a long morning at Elmhurst hospital. We ordered onion rings, el pastor tacos, and Big Blue Burger. needed ranch drssing for the rings(No dipping sauce with it) and salsa(Pace) for the tacos. Onion rings were good, and my tacos were good. The burger was over done and dry. The service was decent. Then the bill came, I was charged and extra 25 cents for ranch and 75 cents for salsa. I am far from a cheep skate, but this is not right! I mentioned the extras to the server who then took it up with the manager. the manager shruged it off and the extras stayed on the bill. I payed the bill and tipped the same as always(was not the servers fault). I then confronted the manager whos response was "We charge for anything thats not ketchup or mustard" I was very taken back. he was very smug and short with his answer. I Will Never Eat Here Again! Their website said it was $12.99 buckets on Fridays. When I went in they charged me $15. I asked the manager why this was, he told me they didn't update the website yet. Instead of giving me the price on their website he gave me one free beer and charged me the $15 each. read more

I agree with other posts-love the food here, especially the pot roast nachos and Badger Burger. Comfortable atmosphere. Would have rated 5 stars except for the service. Numerous times I have visited I have to flag down the waitress to get some attention. The last time there was only two tables and still ignored while they chatted in the back. read more

If you're going to go to a sports bar, you want to be able to watch some sports on TV, right? Pints is big and full of TVs, so you're all set if you come here. If you're going to hang out at a restaurant for a few hours you want to have enjoyable beverages and food too, right? Again, Pints has you covered. They have drink specials, a good variety of beer and other drink options, and tons of burgers. They have things besides burgers too, like salads and wraps, but I was in a burger mood to go with my beer, so I got "The Cheerleader," the vegetarian black bean burger. Pints is what a pub should be! It is narrow has a very long bar and a killer enclosed patio. You will find a beer you can drink either in the bottle or on draft. TV's are every where so no problem watching your favorite sporting event. Family friendly for lunch or dinner - walk in on the weekend and you will see families eating lunch or dinner - the menu is what you would expect from pub with a twist. Something doesn't add up here and the end result is I got missing parts to 3 orders and everything tasted like frozen it was frozen. I've been here twice, each to watch the game, and it's never left me as satisfied as I hoped. Both times we sat in the beer garden outside with servers taking about 20-25 minutes to bring out only 2 shots. The drinks are overpriced and although considering it's a beer garden with a lax environment, the patrons are obnoxious and overly drunk. It's odd that families bring their young kids to the beer garden while there's an entire table of people right next to them falling over themselves and being vulgar. Perhaps it's always like this, either way, I probably won't be back. read more

I love coming here for trivia night! Although my team never wins :P The only thing that is usually off putting is that the server never smiles. I would consider a server to have a friendly face, especially if you're taking some of our money. But besides that, food and ambience is great! I decided to come here for a little date, and we ordered the Artichoke- Spinach as an appetizer.. It was good but no cheese! Different but it was still good. The drinks, just coronas and the Melontini. For the food, I ordered the "Pints Burger" and it was DELICIOUS! Never had a fried egg on a burger, so I decided why not? It was perfect. Great burger and drink place! If you're looking for for a decent burger for great flavor, try the Pint's burger. Very tasty and filling. Combine that with a flight of some great tasting beer selections and you've got a fantastic combo! Esp on a Monday night since it's $7 flight night!! Sunday funday with my family was just going to be some sun and grub, Tony, the manager, must have been filling in for a call off. He was so amazing. Patient, kind and considerate. Legends chicken sandwich is the best sandwich I've ever had. Hands down, no competition. I've never tried anything else but don't feel like I need to. Came here for the first time for a late lunch to start off my girlfriend's brother's 21st birthday. What I got was more than I expected. All of our food was steaming hot out of the kitchen, great draft beer selection, and overall great time (birthday boy found a hangout spot). Only complaint I had was the lack of servers (basically it was just the bartender serving everyone, including people like us not sitting at the bar). But this could be because it was a mid-afternoon lunch on a Monday. Overall, will definitely return. read more

Definitely a fan. The food is usually better than most bars and the beer selection is always good. My favorites are the Legends Chicken and the Not Your Fathers Root Beer Beer. This place is hit-or-miss. I've come here and had great service, I've come here and have been extremely disappointed with their service. Their food has always been good and I enjoy their beer selection. I'm a big fan of craft beer and appreciate a place that has a good selection which is why I keep coming back! I wouldn't suggest coming here during a game, though, unless you get there extremely early. I've made the mistake of unknowingly showing up during a march madness game and turned my booty around because there was no place to sit. read more

We've been here a few times now. The food is always delicious - especially the burgers. Try the Hawkeye (it's soaked in Guiness). They have a great beer garden for summer nights. This is a college type bar in downtown Elmhurst. There is a football helmet I do not recognize and wonder if this is just a hangout for the local college. The burgers and fries were small and the place is pretty average. There is a decent amount of televisions and a area attached to the outside which might be nice the few months it is actually warm in this area. it is sealed in the winter so you can sit there in the winter with a jacket. Came here on a Sunday to grab drinks and watch football. The whole bar was crowded and the only seats left were the outdoor patio, so we stayed. Kinda awkward just me, my boyfriend, and another couple sitting there, but had no other choice really. The indoor bar part was very narrow and small, though. We ordered chips & queso dip. Definitely tasted like a generic freezer-brand cheese, grossed us out a bit actually. We ordered sliders, too, that just came with a since pickle slice on them. Seemed weird, lol. I'd probably come back here and try to sit in the indoor/normal bar area... their food besides appetizers is pricey though, especially if it's from a freezer like the queso dip obviously was. read more

Pints is a bar for people who enjoy interesting beer and good company in which to do the drinking--both extreme positives, in my opinion. I love trivia night here on Tuesdays. Shout-out to Elisa, bar manager extraordinaire, and to Shannon, our favorite server. If there's a beer equivalent of a sommelier, this is Elisa. Maybe "beer wizard" is more accurate--I look away, I look back, and a frothy, tasty beverage has suddenly appeared. Shannon takes great care of all of her tables, and our team feels lucky whenever that includes us. John Cabrera hosts an awesome Sporcle Live trivia contest, and if you're into that sort of thing I recommend checking out one of his shows. It's an oddly satisfying experience, racking your brain cells for '90s song titles and then rewarding them with death by booze. All I can say is that it works for me. Five stars. read more
