The music rocked all night long. We sang to every song. We reserved two lanes that were private and it was great having our own space. The prime rib sandwich and the burger were 8.5 out of 10. If you like skinny crispy fries this is your place. Ryan our waitress was phenomenal. She got us everything we needed. Tip: shoes run small. read more

We specifically came here to check out their happy hour special that starts at 3:00 PM and ends at 6:30 PM. Pinstripes Chicago offers $5 house wines ( Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Nior, Merlot, & Cabernet Sauvignon), $5 tap beer, and $6 premium wells( Svedka, Barcadi, Beefeater, Sauza, Jim Bean, Seagrams 7, Dewars, & Christian Brothers). I love how open the establishment is, yet there is an intimate cozy little nook in the bar area with high tops, floor to ceiling windows, and brick wall to give it that lofty feel. For food we ordered happy hour jumbo pretzel, spinach and artichoke dip, crispy calamari, yellowfin tuna flat bread, and the chicken and avocado club flatbread for our party of 5. Service was excellent for a place that gets pretty crowded. Food came out fast and they were all delicious. They were quite generous on the yellow fin tuna, which was a surprise. It was one of my absolute favorite. There will definitely be more visits in the future. read more

Great food and service! Glaze salmon was Delicious. Always a great option for Breakfast, lunch or dinner.

came to pinstripes last Thursday. We walked in around 8:30 letting the host know that we want to bowl. She said the next lane will be available at 9 so we waited around. It's actually super nice and classy inside. I have been to the pinstripes in Northbrook/Glenview and the chicago location is a lot nicer looking. Fast forward to 9PM we got to our lanes, sat down ordered some food and started to bowl. I'm pretty sure we had a different server then we started with but he was super nice. We ordered fries, bruchetta and a fig and prosciutto pizza. I really enjoyed everything except the pizza ( I just didnt think it was anything special). It was fun doing something in the city outside of just sitting at a restaurant/bar. I am surprised though that pinstripes wasn't as lively as I expected. Not sure if I will be back, I really was not too impressed. (side note: I previously worked for Brunswick Corporate in the bowling division and I assisted in the launch of a few high end bowling centers and I really did not think that Pinstripes was anything extraordinary) read more

So fun spring break staycation. Bowling was a blast. The food was good. My children enjoyed the pizza and free ice cream sundae desserts that come with kids meals. We will definitely come back. read more

This place was wonderful! We came for dinner around 6pm on a Sunday. The starter bread had delicious pesto to go with and the drinks were great. The salmon was cooked perfectly; of note were the pickled veggies with the chicken sandwich, on point! For dessert we got the croissant bread pudding, again delicious! Highly recommend this place. read more

We came here to play bocce ball and it was so fun! Perfect for parties of +4 and for families traveling as well. The workers were so nice and gave us a discount for lunch the next day!! Yummy drinks and snacks. It was a nice break from site seeing and walking around the city. Thank you Pinstripes for excellent service! read more

Looking for an all encompassing date night in one location? We I have found the perfect place for you! This place has delicious food and also many games to play, just make sure to make reservations for both ahead of time! I came with a fairly large group of people and the service was great! We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip and tomato mozzarella bruschetta for the table! Both were very good! For my entree I ordered the roasted cauliflower pasta. The pasta was very well cooked and had great flavor! I loved the balance between the sun-dried tomato garlic and Parmesan, it was delicious. Just for checking in on Yelp I also got a full sized dessert. I ordered the gelato which was served in a waffle bowl! the presentation was beautiful and it blew my mind when a free full sized dessert came out! read more

I loved this place! We went here on Saturday evening to have dinner before a parade and it was delicious. Our server was Anastasia who was very helpful and always returned to make sure we are ok and to fill up our drinks. We ordered a salad and mozzarella balls to share and all was great! The whole vibe of the restaurant is great, dimmed lights and would be good for a date night. It feels quite rustic in places and there is even a bowling lane for families that come to dine. I would definitely recommend dinner here if you are by Navy Pier or the Magnificent Mile. read more

So I'll start this survey by saying typically Pinstripes has good service and a decent ambiance. The past 2-3 visits not so much. While the food and drinks were appeasing, it really didn't matter because my family and I were freezing due to the lack of propane and heat available on their outdoor patio. Since covid has started and Chicago regulations have changed dining there have been a few changes in Pinstripes menu and seating (which we understood) we weren't aware we would have to sit outside (not in the tent) in 30 degree weather. That's probably something you should inform patrons of when they arrive or on your multiple social media pages. Thats not even the worse part. I set up brunch as well as bowling for my family and Via reservation after speaking with an employee at the restaurant ,who said we could do brunch and bowling (together at the lanes) of course that turned out to be u true. I found this out after calling the morning of to confirm my reservation. Then I was told that we could still bowl and they would set us up with a table on the patio to eat, with no issue. I believe the gentleman said "we have plenty space. There shouldn't be a problem" Upon arrival i was told that was also untrue they were booked solid and nobody knew who I spoke too. All in all, a fairly disappointing experience. If you bother going to Pinstripes PLEASE dress warm and bring a blanket. I personally wont be back until they guarantee heat and prompt service. read more

Just had a bogus experience for it to be my first time at this bowling alley. Receptionist started my bowling clock as soon as she escorted me to my lane and walk back to her station. I ordered lunch so I ate the lunch first and started to bowl. I got five frames in with everything cut off and I was refused extra time to finish my one and only game. I was in a little pre-celebration birthday mood and of all places, I chose this one to celebrate. I won't be coming back. read more

We had a work function here while I was i Chicago. We rented the outdoor patio which had a Bocci ball court. That was the star of the evening. The food was served buffet style and was pretty standard pub/Italian fare. The beer selection was also good. What didn't get this place up over 3 stars was the service. We were dropping a pretty penny here and it was a bit of a struggle to get servers to help us out. They also had other people sitting in our reserved area when we got there which was awkward as they continued their meal while there was a large work function going on around them. Looked like relatively poor planning. read more

We came in a group and I used the bathroom when we arrived. The bathroom on the main level is a single bathroom and I went in after a COOK who worked there and realized the bathroom dispenser was not working. Disgusted, I nicely went to the front desk and told them there is no soap which they acknowledged they knew it wasn't working. I told them how disgusting it is that they couldn't put soap there and a manager acknowledged and said it would be there immediately. 2 HOURS LATER after bowling there was still no soap and a different manager was unapologetic after breaking who knows how many health code violations. The place should not be allowed to be open and I am horrified how unsanitary the entire establishment is. read more

Came here for Father's Day brunch and I was blown away. SO MANY DIFFERENT sections of food. Salad bar, hot bar, dessert chocolate bar, omelet bar, bloody mary bar, prime rib bar...I mean it was endless. It was extremely crowded, but I expected that because of Father's Day. NOTE: they do not accept coupons on holidays and they consider Father's Day a holiday. We were greeted with complimentary mimosas. We were able to order our food very quickly. There was such a grand selection, so I was highly impressed. It was too warm to eat outside on the patio, but I hope to return and enjoy that at some point. I highly recommend. read more

Stopped in here after visiting Navy Pier during Happy Hour since we were in the area. It was 3 of us so we didn't sit at the bar, just in the bar area where the tables were. They were 4 people working behind the bar. No one acknowledged us. We waited at least 20 minutes and no one came to bring a menu, ask if we wanted to order something, nothing. Three other people (who weren't Black) came in after we had been waiting and they were given water and menus immediately after they sat down. We sat there and witnessed this and still got no acknowledgement from anyone. At that point we left because CLEARLY we were intentionally being ignored. Seemed like a nice spot but I will not be returning to find out. read more

A little bit on the pricey but worth it. Also, be aware that the offers listed on Yelp might not actually be offered. The waiter still honored it but had no idea what I was talking about. I had the chicken parmesan which was a smaller portion than I expected. I don't know if they make their pasta themselves daily but honestly I have never had anything like it. It was like eating silk! And the sauce was packed with flavor. The star of the show, however, was the seasonal sorbet they make. What I got was grape flavored sorbet in a waffle cone cup with fresh grapes. So good. SO GOOD! It is a short walk from the pier and so for the price you might as well come here. read more

Pinstripes Rest. - Posted on June 23, 2021 by Q-tips - Pinstripes - 1150 Willow Rd Northbrook, IL 60062, (847) 480-2323, pinstripes.com Q - Tips say: First time visit: Decided to try Pinstripes on the way home from the Chgo. Botanical Gardens. Nice place that offers outdoor/indoor eating & bowling & bocce Ball. The music is a tad loud in some areas, but you can find a table inside or outdoors with quieter seating. Drinks were ok. We shared the complimentary bread - which was good with pesto oil on the side. Mrs. Q had the Turkey Sandwich & a cup of the Chicken Dumpling soup. The Mr. had Sal's Salami Sandwich & a cup of Chicken Dumpling Soup. Sandwiches are big, each Q took 1/2 of a sandwich home. Everything was ok but we don't think we would make a special trip to eat at Pinstripes unless we are in the neighborhood. Did not ask if we could order from the Dinner menu while it was a late Lunch Menu visit. read more

Out of the 2 or few bowling places me and my mom had been to so far, this is the most decent and most affordable i know about to date."Lucky Strike" which is closely down the street from this bowling place,is just flashier looking if my memory serves me correctly. At "Pinstripes",it's a cozier atmosphere instead of a flashy one."Pinstripes" is subdued and quieter than it's direct competition down the street and that's alright with me.Sometimes less is more. The customer service here is better too by the way.I don't know anything about the restaurant part of "Pinstripes",but i think i remember hearing nothing but positive things or praise for it though.Maybe i will check out their restaurant one day, because the bowling part of "Pinstripes" is not too shabby. read more

Been here a couple of times, once for lunch with colleagues and once for dinner. Its a great place with a classy ambience. You can come here to hang out with friends at the bowling lanes or just at the bistro for a date night. The food is great, with good choices. You are served complimentary bread with pesto at the beginning, which is quite delicious. I have tasted their salmon entree as well as the open faced salmon sandwich - both of them were very good. Everyone at the table was happy with their food and licked their plates clean. The portion sizes are big, and the food is tasty. Definitely a great place to get dinner after catching a movie at AMC 21. read more

The rating is for service NOT food. Nice ambiance for a low key dinner on Wed March 14th around 9:30p/10p with friends, but our server, amber( i believe was her name) was not attentive nor did she acknowledge half of the four people at the table. She had one of the other male servers bring our drinks and i had to put an order in for myself bc she never asked me what i wanted. The chicken club sandwhich is really good, nice crispy bacon, but you get some scraps of kale as a side. No fries! Not worth the $15 tab. If they get better service, I'd return, but I can get a good chicken club sandwhich anywhere and bowl anywhere. the bathrooms are nice and plenty of stalls. read more

Please visit one of Chicago's many other wonderful restaurants before you even consider coming to this place. Unfortunately one is the lowest I'm able to rate, but you can assume my rating would be lower if it could. Let me paint a picture for you. When I first moved to Chicago, my boyfriend and I used to come here all the time. We had been long distance for a year before, and this place really became our first go-to date night place. It really used to hold a special place in our hearts. Now, this place only conjures heartbreak and disappointment. Starting at the beginning, the hostess could not have had a worse attitude. We had reservations, asked if we could sit at the bar, and it's as if I told her she had a dump in her pants. We then sat at the bar and had three different servers come over. Yet somehow, all three forgot to put our food order in. I guess you could say it's a classic "too many cooks in the kitchen" scenario. After waiting an hour for our dinner, we finally gave up and closed out. It then took another 15 minutes and multiple reminders to get our check. So, in closing, the management team should consider changing the name to painstripes. read more

Went for bowling and some food/drinks as well. Bowling area was actually pretty nice but certain lanes just suck. It has problems every other throw or so. Pretty nice atmosphere overall and a good place for happy hour. However, few of my colleagues did say they know other places with better prices. I wish yelp can do half stars since I wanted to give it a 4.5. Overall good 'mood,' decent servers, and okay pricing. read more

My girlfriend and I stopped in here as we were strolling the streets of Chicago and we saw a sign for bocce ball. Although we didn't play I just thought it'd be cool to see and it sure was. They also had a very nice bowling alley inside that would have definitely been a great time, but the price was a bit of a deterrent although considering the upscale scene I understand. This place also had a really cool downstairs that had even more bocce ball courts that looked really nice. On the back patio was a beautiful view of the river and fireplaces to sit around and keep warm. After checking in we found out there was a free sorbet which was $7 on the menu so my girlfriend and I each got one. All the customer service here was great, but the wait for a small dessert was quite long. I had no problem as I enjoyed the environment and time with my girlfriend, but it is something to keep in mind if you are in a rush. The sorbets were fantastic and never had something quite like it. May return here to play bocce ball before my visit is up. read more

We started the evening playing some bocce ball which was fantastic! We then had dinner outside which was a great spot. I had the jambalaya which was different than anything I had ever eaten - it came on risotto with a sliced breast of chicken and shrimp. While different, I thought it was very good. The others in our party had the salmon, burger and a pasta. Everyone enjoyed their dinner very much, the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that we could have used one more drink but our server disappeared for quite a while. read more

Horrible check in experience. Very unorganized. Charged us twice for bowling - we didn't realize it because two different people paid, 15 min apart. Service was VERY slow and inattentive at dinner, had to ask for everything to be served. Had to hawk the waitstaff if we needed anything. Bathrooms were in horrible condition - smelled of urine, very wet (unsafe) and dirty floors. Will not go back there. read more
