Heard a lot about this place, and yes it's stuck in the wilds of a half-closed mall food court. So the ambiance is nil, the service just OK. But the Vicious Burger is a smashburger thing of beauty, as are the fries and the gobs of cheese running down the sides. Do I need to say any more? If you're on a diet, skip this place but otherwise, come and indulge! This place scores a 5-star on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

SO GOOD! All of this food was reasonably priced and more than I could eat, but I made it happen anyway and now I'm gonna need a nap. That was enough delicious calories to get me through a workout, a run, and the remainder of my work day. Yeah, we are definitely coming back for another working lunch soon! Thanks, Vicious Eats!

I have tried Chef Jason Dady at a Yelp event before and really enjoyed it. So when I heard he also owns a food truck called DUK Truck that sells Asian steamed buns, I am so there! I went to the restaurant week food truck event in downtown just to try the DUK Truck. I ordered the Asian steamed buns of course. It came with a salad too as a special. I have to tell you these buns are NO JOKE. The buns were super soft, the meat was melt in your mouth tender mixed with unexpected greens and other ingredients. It was heavenly! The salad was not your everyday salad. It was high class, very well made with goat cheese, pear, etc. I can't say enough good things about the DUK Truck. For the Asian steamed buns alone, it is a five star food truck hands down! I might have to start stalking them to satisfy my cravings. As I said, once you go Asian (steamed buns), you never miss an equation!

They quoted us 35mins for a party of 2. There wasn't a lot of space to wait inside so we were about to go back to the car and noticed a sip it frozen daiquiri spot next door. We sat and enjoyed a daiquiri while we waited for our call. Restaurant had a DJ and the music was bumping loud so if you want an intimate setting, this is not the place. lol the DJ played a mixture of Reggaeton and Latin favorites. There were a lot of birthday parties going on at the same time so our waitress took a little while to come and get our drinks. Luckily, we had some time at the daiquiri place to look over the menu online so we knew exactly what we wanted once the waitress came. once we placed our order, the food came about 20 minutes later and everything was so delicious and well cooked. The restaurant is so fun and vibrant. I literally danced as I ate! Will definitely be back to try other dishes but if they offer reservations, I will definitely book a table for the next time

Located in a gas station parking lot right off busy Wurzbach Rd, King of Shawarma & Kabab Food…read moreTruck provided hot food with kind but distant service. My family of four decided to cheat on our regular shawarma guy (Abu Omar) and try someplace else, and since this was everyone's "to try" list, we journeyed out on a Sunday afternoon. This area of Wurzbach is notoriously busy, but we were able to park alongside the Valero gas station where the food truck is set up. There are a couple of picnic tables and a porta-john within a few steps of the food truck. I don't know if the latter is for the food truck patrons or not, though. Hanging out in the "outdoor dining area" in a gas station parking lot with traffic whizzing by wasn't my idea of ambiance so we decided we were going to eat in the car. We checked out the menu and weren't initially greeted by the lone employee in the truck, but I'll chalk that up to him being busy setting up for the day. When we were ready, we ordered Chicken Arabis (wraps filled with chicken shawarma), a Chicken Gyro plate, and a Mixed Gyro plate. Our gyro plates came with a small salad, rice, hummus, and what was called pita bread but resembled and tasted like a paratha (which is a good thing). The hummus, in my opinion, lacked garlic, and the rice and chicken were both bland, but the plate was filling and hot. My husband also agreed that the meat lacked seasoning, but he finished his plate. The red sauce that came with the plates was spicy, but lacked any other flavor. The garlic sauce, which I'm assuming is toum, was really tasty and packed that garlicky flavor. I dumped it on my chicken and rice, and it turned out to be a great idea. Our kids enjoyed their Arabis but also agreed that the meat was bland. The food was delivered to our car by the man who took our order, which alone was worth a star. The total for our meals, with drinks and a tip, was $74, which is a steal nowadays. I recommend trying this food truck in the area since flavor preferences are subjective. The quality and price make it worthwhile if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to return.
