I've been here perhaps twenty times with a range of companions - friends, wife, and even my mom. Every time is a blast. Unlike some typical evening activity where you "consume", here you are "producing" something which is a great change of pace. The two variables most impacting my enjoyment have been the paintings and the instructors. Instructor quality is universally excellent, however no one tops Barry. That guy is the maestro. Went on a Saturday night & it was a full class.. we were doing psychedelic starry night .. it was so fun! I'm crazy about cleanness and I asked (two separate times) for a clean brush & more paper towels. The guy was very accomadating! I would recommend to any one looking for something fun and reasonably priced! We really enjoy this type of outing however i wouldn't return to this particular location. It seemed very disorganized when we arrived - there was only one person checking people in and doing bar orders at the same time. That caused the class to start a half hour late and then we were just rushed the entire time trying to make up for the fact that they were understaffed and started late. There is also no space to put your plate of paint and i had to hold mine in my lap the entire class. read more

This was my first time at a painbar . It was supposed to be at mammernock but my class was canceled so I picked the next one at Stamford. They had a great event at this day sponsered by women empowering women . They place was nearly full and I can say I had so much fun! Everything was perfect, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. If you're looking for a fun event for a group look no further! We went here for a team bonding event with coworkers and had a blast. They serve a wide variety of drinks from beer, wine and champagne to house cocktails and creative house drinks. When we arrived we grabbed aprons from the wall and they had all of our stations ready with our names on them, paints rationed out, water cup and brushes ready to go - along with a big paper towel roll (much needed). They were also extremely nice about bringing in food (you can have other restaurants cater your meal). We ordered from the delicious Italian place next door (Fortina's) - also highly recommend - and they came in throughout the painting experience bringing our food. The teachers were very nice, gave great instructions and were very patient. They were happy to help refill our drinks and our paints whenever needed. It made for a very fun team bonding event and my painting didn't turn out half bad! read more

I had fun but the people running it would say do whatever you want and then correct me every single time they walked past mine and i wasn't even doing it wrong. They'd be like make it fatter I was annoyed. Also the brushes were old and not good quality and made it much harder to paint. read more

Excellent experience!!! I was 1000% sure I wasn't gonna be able to pull off the painting! I was like "no way" I'll be able to paint that!! Parking was easy, walked through the building from the parking garage made a left and there was the studio. We arrived early, there are plenty of restaurants near by to have a quick bite before you head to the studio. We opt for the burger place, which was in my opinion super expensive! Two burgers, two beers, 1 order of sweet potatoes 60$!!! Oh, burgers don't come with fries....Anyway, back to Pinot's.......the studio was clean, lots of space, really down to earth folks! We went on Saturday 2/23/19. I wish I could remember our instructors name.... she was amazing!! She made everything seem seamlessly easy, she continued to reassure all of us that we have this!!! If I go again, she's the instructor I would want. Step by step instructions.... there is no way you can go wrong, you just have to follow instructions and low and behold your painting will start to come together, not like the instructors of course, but pretty close..... like I said, I can't say enough about the instructor, the best. Prices were very reasonable!!! 5 beers came to 22$ can't beat that at all.... at a local bar your paying 6-8$ a beer easy!!! As far as a date night, perfect! It's a great opportunity to connect with your significant other and watch each other's creative artistic or non-artistic side, !! I would 1000% recommend to all my friends and family that they plan an evening at Pinot's... amazing experience, you get to take your painting home and brag to friends about how cool as hell you are at painting, I get compliments all the time when people come to my house and see my painting, I'm like, "Picasso ain't got nothing on me"..... but the real Picasso is your instructor, like I mentioned earlier, wish I remembered her name, but she is the reason my painting came out exceptionally well. So hopefully you get the instructor that we had that evening!!! So grab your friends, family, partner and go have fun......remember it's not about how much money you spend, it's about how much time you spend enjoying the moment....... you go, Van Gogh!!!! The vibe is great here. Nice music, great instructors. My issue with it is the price. I think these paint and sips are a great idea, nice date night or get together with a few friends. The price is steep, $45 dollars for about a 2 hour paint session and the wine is not included! Acrylic paint is very cheap and so are the brushes which are one flat, one fan, and another small flat brush. The easel is nice but at least include the wine in that admission. I'll be doing my own paintings at home. read more

My BF planned us a date night here and wow was it a great experience. The woman who taught our class was so effortlessly friendly and talked with us before / during / and after the painting. We went on Wednesday when they have a sale on their bottles of wine, which is awesome. I went here a few weeks back and had a Blast! I wasn't sure what to expect given my lack of skill but was completely blown away! Everybody was so helpful and I ended up being so happy with my painting that I got it framed. Bonus was that they framed it right then and there! I cannot even begin to describe how much fun this place is. I am not artistic in the slightest, and in fact never even really enjoyed painting, but last night's class, "Azalea Trail", was awesome. The painting itself was so much fun, the instructor was excellent and their staff was so attentive and helpful. Had a great time, and ended up with a really nice (if I may say so myself) painting! I've been dying to try one of these classes for a while now and Pinot Palette lived up to my expectations! Not only do they have a bar on site with a great selection of wines but the staff is extremely friendly. I am NOT artistic and thanks to one of the painters assistants, Amy, my picture came out great! Not only did she help me throughout my painting she even helped remove a paint stain from my pants even though I insisted it was no big deal. She made a great experience even greater! Attended a complimentary library two hour session. Overall, very good. The emphasis is on having fun, not taking a painting class. Music, which we had to ask be lowered a couple times and comments that the group was pretty serious. Just be aware that everyone is going to be painting the same thing. You are not going to learn some things about painting and then do your own thing. I guess that would be too chaotic. Good for the beginner, like myself or for a party. Not for the more experienced painter. read more

I arrived 10 minutes early as instructed. The studio was very noisy and I couldn't find anyone to help me, so I walked around until I found my place. The instructor used a microphone system but still felt the need to shout her instructions to us, so I spent the entire time cringing. The instructions were unclear and disorganized, and after an hour of painting abstract shapes on the canvas and then smearing them around with water, the instructor told us that we had done something wrong and we would have to go back and paint over the blue streaked mess with yellow. If she had been an actual artist she would have known that it is extremely difficult to paint over dark blue with yellow acrylic paint, especially when your canvas is wet because you have been dripping water all over it in order to get the colors to run (as instructed). After trying to fix the painting for 45 minutes, we were informed that we should finish what we were working on and assemble for the group picture. The instructor made no attempt to help us create the painting that we had signed up for, she encouraged us to paint something completely different and to get abstract and just go for it. I was still trying to get my painting to look like the one I had signed up to paint at the end of the class, and she did not come over once to give any kind of encouragement or assist us in that process. I hope she didn't quit her day job for this. I will not come back here again. read more

Pinot's Palette is one of the most amazing destinations for both children and adults alike! My three kids (10,10. 8), who can't seem to agree on anything, all BEG to go paint at Pinot's! The instructors are incredible!! They are patient, kind and really know how to translate technique to the kids! I find that it's the only time that my kids can sit still and actually enjoy creating something that is not ELECTRONIC based!!! For adults, this is a great way to slooooow your day down a bit and get some much needed personal therapy for yourself!!! (Imagine that???) My husband and I both have painted at Pinot's, and we find it really fun and an easy way to be creative and social at the same time!! Ironically, I'm a crazy fast multi-tasker in life, but I'm the SLOWEST painter alive.....but when I'm painting I'm destressing......so it is really invaluable to me!!! My only problem is that there are soooo many cool subject choices to paint!! So, I guess we will all have to keep returning!! I love that they play music and you can just relax and create away with absolutely no judgment!!! read more
