Based on no follow through of something basic as a phone call, I went against my gut instinct and decided to give them one more chance. They gave me a one hour window of 2pm-3pm on Thursday. They never showed up. No one bothered to give me advanced warning of being late or not showing up. I called them, and a lady was fumbling her words and making a ton of excuses. The apologies sounded insincere as if it was something she was repeating all day long to people. She said she could reschedule me for the following Tuesday, but offered no ownership of the issue and no guarantee that the 3rd time would be any different. He stated he was unaware of what had happened to my ceiling. He wanted to schedule someone to come out and take pictures, which honestly boiled my blood. I refused to let that happen again. Instead, I offered to send him pictures, which he agreed to. I promptly sent them accepted via email. He confirmed receipt. About a week later, I was wondering if I'd ever hear back. The next day, he called and said he would find a dry waller. A week after that, he found a dry waller and called to ask about my availability. I told him just book a date and a time with the dry waller and tell me what it is. I was trying to be as flexible as possible, to facilitate the repair. A couple days later he called and gave me the appointment date and time. The dry waller was on time. The job was completed in about three hours and it looks pretty good. Afterward, Jim called again to see if I was pleased with the work and mentioned painting the area. I declined the offer for painters, since I don't have any matching paint and I don't want to take the time to be there for another subcontractor. The hole is fixed; it can be painted later. I appreciated his gesture for the painters though. The incident occurred on Monday, November 15, 2021 and was repaired on Friday, January 21, 2022. Just over two months to get it fixed. I understand there were a few holidays in between those dates, so that's why I was being as flexible about it as I possibly could. At this point, I don't know if I'd hire them again, but at least I can say they came through in the end and made amends.
