We switched to Run-A-Mutt from our previous daycare after I suspected that the previous daycare was mostly keeping him crated--he was bouncing off the walls when he got home. Now I can check in with him throughout the day on the webcams and see exactly what he's doing while I'm at work. They have a bone-shaped pool, which is amazing for a water-loving lab. I think my favorite feature is the overnight boarding. The dogs all sleep together (on dog beds, not in crates) in the same room and there is someone there with them the whole night. We've sent him for boarding several times and always felt great about it. Susan and her team have been very accommodating and attentive to Artoo. Sometimes he won't eat in the morning before we drop him off and so they are always happy to feed him for me so he doesn't go hungry. They've alerted me when they feel like he's constipated and there was one time his ID tags fell off his collar and they noticed and found them for us. There's been about three times where they have pointed out to me minor scratches on Artoo when I come to pick him up from daycare, on which they had already put medication. My dog plays hard and I know he will get scrapes and scratches just like he does at home, but if that's something that is going upset you, maybe rethink sending your dog to daycare (any daycare, not just this one). I will say--I did a lot of reading about doggy daycares before signing up. I don't think dog daycare is for every dog and I don't think every dog will enjoy it as much as ours does. But if you have a social, active, playful dog that needs to burn off energy while you're at work, then I don't think you'll find a better choice than Camp Run-A-Mutt.
