He is extremely gentle and is concerned about ensuring you experience no pain. I have had multiple root canals with him and have never felt a thing other than the initial nova caine shots which are minimal because they use a topical first as well. I've referred many people here in the past. Great prices when I had to pay out of pocket or use Care Credit. Only complaint is he sometimes leaves for a month if the year to go do charity around the world, and causes me to delay appointments. But that's not a complaint, he is truly a great guy and takes care of my entire family.

We know it can be super unpleasant so it's important to find someone who will make a unpleasant experience a pleasant one. Dr Chris and his staff do just that! They are super efficient, informative and dare I say painless?! My first visit consisted of X-rays galore and then a treatment plan for all the extensive work I'll need. Hey! Like I said I'm either their dream or nightmare. Although the cost of what my new mouth will cost me is astronomical it's not a surprise and on par with other dentists that have examined me. So why did I want to seek treatment here? From the front desk staff efficiency to the calming nature of the assistant and doctor I couldn't find a single fault or lack of professionalism. I have so far gotten a filling done as well as a crown placement and have been painless! Highly recommend them!

I called a week before to confirm they received my previous records. They told me on that call that they were no longer going to accept my insurance in 4 days. In other words, 3 days before my appointment my insurance would no longer cover the dental visit. I asked if they could reschedule my appointment before they'd drop my insurance, and they were able to because someone else canceled. However, the morning of my appointment day they said the hygienist and dentist were out sick, and they couldn't find another appointment before the insurance drop date. So I waited 4 months for nothing only to have to wait another 6 months until another dental office could schedule an appointment with me. They should have informed me that they weren't going to accept my insurance anymore. If I had not called in advance, I would have gone to my appointment without accepted insurance. In the end it was a significant waste of time. They really screwed me over.

Best Dentist & Office Ever!! This place is a breath of fresh air compared to the numerous horrible…read moredentists I've dealt with over the years. I can not say enough great things about my experience here! My typical dental visit (other places) can only be described as a nightmare. I usually feel horrible anxiety before, during, and after an appt. My last dentist (ConnextCare Dental of Fulton) actually ripped the napkin off of my neck and yelled "Go Somewhere Else Then" when I spoke up and said I wanted to try and save my tooth (not pull it). Unfortunately, this was during COVID, I couldn't get in anywhere else. After a few minutes of me calming her down, she agreed to fill the tooth instead of pulling it. That filling lasted about 6 months before falling out. I knew I wasn't going back so I researched my options, with my insurance. That's when I discovered Oswego Dental Health Associates (formerly Fulton Dental Health) was now accepting my insurance. I made an appointment (still COVID) and was in the chair 2 weeks later. The dentist was amazingly kind and gentle. He even told me there was still an option to save my tooth (almost a year after the last place said it was impossible!) I have incredibly sensitive teeth and am usually in agony during dental work (or even the water spraying my teeth). Oswego Dental Health Associates went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and pain-free. They even complimented me on being a good patient! The entire staff was incredibly friendly and nice. Seriously! I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't seen it for myself. Surprisingly, I was calm and anxiety-free during my first visit. I truly felt like I'd been going there forever. As if that isn't enough, to switch dentists now, this place actually worked with me by scheduling my treatments to make the most of my insurance coverage. Seriously, make an appointment today! Before they are full (as always happens with any dentist that isn't a nightmare). If you have kids, this would probably be an awesome place for them. I usually end up feeling like a big baby in most dentist chairs, but these guys boosted my confidence. I left the place looking forward to going back and finishing the things I needed to be done.

I had been very reluctant to visit any dentist before finding his office, because I have had terrible experiences prior to this. Dr. Pateras restored my faith in dentistry not only through his skill, but also through introducing me to preventive dentistry. After becoming a patient here, and taking care of problems before they become irreversable, I have enjoyed good dental health ever since. I have had to have my share of restorative work such as crowns and bridges due to past neglect, but the remaining teeth have remained in good shape and I plan on keeping them.
