After letting the hype of Pinkberry slowly wear down (because there was no way in Hades that I was waiting for hours), my sister and I stopped in to finally try this famed froyo. I loved it. Really, simply did. I can see why ginormous lines could form, each customer is personally greeted and explained every detail of the froyo. Want to try every flavor before you purchase anything? Sure! Go ahead! Take all the time you need! I was immediately enchanted with the seasonal pumpkin flavor, so I beefed that up with cinnamon, cheesecake and graham crackers. And those little gummy things, whose name I cannot remember, but are worth adding to any flavor. It was delicious. No questions about that! Although Pinkberry is a wee bit expensive for a small cup of froyo, it's a fun treat and I will definitely be back for more. And probably soon. read more

Pinkberry is a frozen dessert franchise that started in California. They are known for their frozen yogurt (froyo) and that's pretty much what everyone gets (they also have smoothies and parfaits). Two recently opened up in Colorado, one on 16th St Mall and this one. The good: Pinkberry has very good froyo. It is more tart than other places but some people like that. They have "featured flavors" they switch out every month. This month it's Passion Fruit. The toppings are excellent. Make sure you try their dark chocolate chips. They're like mini-whopper candies. The bad: Froyo overall can get expensive. A price I'm willing to pay but just make sure you understand you will be spending about $4-5 for a normal order. Pinkberry is also a new entity in Colorado and so it is always packed. Make sure you go during non-peak hours if you're in a rush. I'm sure the crowds will die down in a few months but for now, just keep that in mind. My recommendation: Chocolate froyo with strawberries and mochi bits. read more

Meh. I went here when it first opened and was ALL THE CRAZE! It was good then and I probably would have rated it higher. But now, with the explosion of self-serve fro-yo, I just can't get behind Pinkberry. I want to pick how much fro-yo I have and how many/how much toppings I put on. Pinkberry has a standard serving size for fro-yo and toppings. It's also much more expensive than the self-serve places - because you can't serve yourself. I love the yogurt here, it's the best. But service is very inconsistent. I've been coming here 5+ years and there are times the person working will fill a medium cup with literally the size of a small or even less. Then give barely any toppings. It is expensive so I expect to get what I pay for. One day my husband got a medium and I got a small, we had 2 different people. My small was bigger than his medium. He had to keep asking to have more toppings added and it still ended up being less than the size of a small. Frustrating. This has been happening a lot over the last year. It has deterred us from visiting as frequently. Go to self serve system this wouldn't be an issue. Another issue is 1-2 flavors are out every time I visit. Last time it was the 1 dairy free option which was the whole reason I went in. When you only have 5 flavors available yet 2-3 of them or out it's a problem. read more

Most froyo is fairly similar. Pinkberry isn't anything crazy different. I got the pomegranate and whoo boy it was tart. Delicious but tart. My tongue couldn't handle anything more than a kids size, which was unfortunate because I ordered a medium. They could do a better job mixing up the goodies into the yogurt but thats nitpicking. I can eat dessert here and not feel like I'm doing harm to my body in a significant way, which is not the case for places like Coldstone. I think I like Kuulture better just off 16th but pinkberry is a pretty swell substitute. read more

Delicious froyo. Somewhat healthy too, which is always nice in my sweet treats. Great choice of toppings, mostly fruit but also nuts, cereals, mochi, and more. Really friendly servers too. A bit pricy, but not more so than Coldstone. I'm not as addicted as some of my friends are, but this is definitely a place I'd come back to and visit. This is my absolute favorite frozen yogurt shop! Great atmosphere and friendly employees! My favorite flavors are the Pomegranate fro yo and Mango fro yo. Blueberry is quite good also! Not as overbearing as you would expect - just the perfect amount of blueberry flavor. They got their yogurts down! Fresh fruit is cut on the daily and there's a bunch of great toppings available. I always get strawberry, kiwi, raspberry, & mango for my toppings. My only qualm is that the mango can sometimes be pretty unripe. Which I know it is difficult to get ripe mangos year round. Especially in CO. So I don't hold it against them :) Also, the girls tend dish out less fro yo than the guys that work there.. That irks me. Only because I want as much as possible!!! :D The also cater! PS - I swear they've changed the Mango from s year or so ago..it used to have a distinct "Pinkberry" flavor to it, yet not it just tastes like my favorite Mango sorbet that I can pick up at the grocery store. I don't get it. Tried the original & coconut but it just tasted odd. Very icy, watered-down & waaaaay too tart. Place is all bright & shiny with cute, bubbly staff. I opted for original with cheesecake bits & caramel prailine topping. The toppings were pretty good, but the froyo sucked. I guess back home these types of places are a dime a dozen & its just way creamier, way tastier, & just old news. Once again, I've been spoiled & once again, Denver disappoints. read more

Drive past every self serve yogurt place you see on your way here. The trip will be so rewarding. I filled up three Pinkberry punch cards over the summer. Which is 30 yogurts. If that doesn't say dedicated yogurt connoisseur, then I don't know what does. Sure they have a smaller selection of flavors, and yes you can only get enough toppings to fit in the cup. But what they do make, they make perfectly. And the toppings are well proportioned. You don't really NEED two cups of chocolate chips. I promise, you'll be fine. And the staff are always nice about it if you want just a liiiittle more. Listen, it's worth it. Slightly more expensive, of course. But who cares? You're getting top notch yogurt and proper serving sizes anyways. And, a plus for me, is that all the fruit isn't mushy, which is what self serve will do to you. No little kids smushing the spoons into the raspberries or flinging strawberries all over the place. Just professional swirlers. That's how you know it's good. read more

Pinkberry is my favorite frozen yogurt company. When I discovered that there's one location here in Colorado after my move from Los Angeles, I was beyond ecstatic! It's unlike any other fro-yo place out there and the taste/texture of their flavors are exquisite! Some people may he bothered by the "lack" of flavor selections, but that's the beauty of Pinkberry! Dropped back down to 3 stars.There is always an ungodly wait. Rain or shine, expect to stand in a longass line. Didn't mean to rhyme there. Maybe if you come in at 10 AM or right when they close at midnight you won't have to wait. Also since they serve you, you can't control just how much topping to put on. And the prices are ridic. Seriously a small cost me almost $6. WTF? You know I can get a meal at that price at some places. After riding out the Froyo craze in Denver and trying almost every spot in town I can say this is one of my least favorite and overhyped. Pinkberry's frequent buyers card has it's own special place in my wallet ( very near my Starbucks card) I love it *that* much. Even after being open for months there is still a line out the door most evenings. Is it worth the 20+ minute wait in line ? You betcha !!! I never get sick of it and your options are endless ! I get it. I didn't believe the hype, wanted to dislike it, wanted to downright hate it, and I wanted it to be awful. But it wasn't, and now that I've had their yogurt...I get it. It's absolutely delicious. I've only had the plain yogurt, and tend to be pretty standard with toppings -- chocolate, coconut & pomegranate seeds (they go awesome together!) and it's been absolutely fabulous each time. It's a super small place, you're probably not getting a seat because it seems like it's always full. There might be some seats outside, but I can't really remember. I've always just walked in, and brought yogurt home! Service is usually quick and friendly, though sometimes awkward. It seems like the quick-service food industry trend of 'aggressive greeting' is alive and well even when they're only selling yogurt, so it can sometimes seem a little weird. Plus, having a conversation with a high schooler who doesn't really want to be there while they're making your froyo. If you haven't been to Pinkberry yet, it's worth a stop. I unabashedly love Pinkberry. Yes, its trendy. Yes, its annoying that the line is always out the door. Yes, its kinda pricy. Whatever, it tastes so good and you never feel gross after eating it. The chocolate is phenomenal, the coconut is pretty good, and the original tastes the most yogurty. And the toppings, whoa the toppings. Lots of fresh fruit to choose from, yummy sinful things like crushed up oreos and candy bars, and unique things like busted up crepe cookies and dark chocolate ball thingees. I like my coconut with raspberries and a sprinkle of cinnamon, and my chocolate with strawberries/raspberries and lots of crushed up chocolatey things. Next time, I'll try the salted caramel and probably gussy it up with fruit, nuts, and maybe some health bar. Can't wait! read more

Ok, I'm addicted. I've never been a huge fan of sweets... or ice cream, but after my first taste of Pinkberry's froyo, I'm hooked! The small, sparse yet stylish shop is always neat & clean, tables cleared and cleaned regularly, the young staff is efficient and friendly without being annoying. My weekly "fix" is a medium chocolate froyo with raspberries, coconut, dark chocolate shavings, almond roca and mochi bits. Don't you judge me! I gave up smoking, drinking, loose living and gluten... so, I could do worse than a weekly cup of frozen heaven. ;) read more

I've braved the line at Pinkberry twice and both times it was soooooo worth it. Both times we stood for a half hour or more for the deliciousness of the froyo. I love the original, completely perfect and slightly tangy. The pomegranate is also excellent with just the right amount of tartness. BF likes the chocolate which is r-i-c-h but in that great silky, coats-your-mouth kind of way. Excellent selection of toppings. Just about any kind you could want (coconut, almonds, and fruity pebbles is my preferred mix). The fruit looks really fresh (as it should be). The worst part of the Pinkberry experience is that excruciating time when you're actually in the store and can see the counter but know that it's another 10 minute wait. At least you can admire the decor (provided you've already decided on what you want). The plastic-looking walls are a cool element and I really love the chairs. I mean, I know it's pretty indulgent to wait 30+ minutes for a treat, but believe me your taste buds will thank you. Give it a few more weeks (or wait until it gets cold) and the buzz will die down... or you could try your luck at the new LoDo location (Glenarm between 16th/17th) set to 'Swirl Summer 2010.' read more

It seems that I am always driving by this place when I realize I won't be eating for another couple of hours and if I don't eat something RIGHT NOW it will not be a pretty picture. Number of flavors is not overwhelming, yet they have the oddball flavors I must try. I had Tomato Basil Greek Yogurt with olive oil and vinegar. My 6-year-old called it a salad. Very nice. I had never been to a Pinkberry and my friend assured me it was a MUST. Ok Ive been and I still dont get the fuss. I mean, dont get me wrong, it was good but it wasn't "craving" good? First, there werent a whole lot of flavors to choose from, maybe 4? I was goin to go for the plain (thinking vanilla) until my friend mentioned that's her favorite because of the tart flavor. Reminding me this is yogurt not ice cream. I dont like the tart of plain yogurt., so I opted for chocolate with toasted almonds and it was really good, I was pleased with my choice, (so was her daughter, seeing as she snaked it from me lol) So we ended up trying what her daughter ordered.. the mango with fresh fruit, and I have to say the mango was really good. Again, all the hype got the best of me so I tried Pinkberry today for the first time. I told myself that if there was a crazy line that I would skip it. Low and behold, the door was actually closed when we got there (the line was not long enough to go outside). However by the time I got out of the car there were 5 or 6 people that got to the door before I could. However, I was the only person standing outside. Then quickly there were another 5 or 6 people behind me in line. CRAZY I TELL YOU!! Anyway, I thought I would be disappointed because of all the hype. I was pleasantly surprised with my Pinkberry experience. I had the Watermelon and it was delicious. I had watermelon, blueberries, mango and strawberry's for toppings. (Hate that word)!! The watermelons, blueberries and strawberries went very well with the watermelon froyo. Anyway, I could eat this again and again. I tasted the "original" and it was slightly odd to me. Kind of bitter and not what I would want. Not sure of the other flavors, but man, that watermelon froyo was extremely refreshing! I got the small, but could probably polish off a medium pretty easily. It is kind of expensive but not horrible. They apparently have half off between 5 and 7, but I wonder if there is a super long line then? If not, then that would be a pretty good deal. Check it out, but if there are more than 6 or 8 people outside the front door, wait and come back--I don't think it is going away anytime soon. read more

I am such a fan of Pinkberry! This stuff is so good.... :) I especially loved their Blood Orange yogurt (please bring this back!) . I also like that it's not one of those "serve yourself" yogurt places - not a big fan of the mess and cross contamination. Really great yogurt, really clean and pleasant store - I can't get enough! Despite the long lines I've experienced the 2 times I've been to this location midday on a weekday, I love this place. Their fruity flavors are so refreshing and light. I've been with 2 or 3 kids both times and can't step up to another $6+ for toppings for all of us so we only do the yogurt and are in heaven every time. Somewhat hectic at the counter and realized I was charged $1.50 for a topping on our trip there Monday after I got home. : ( Also, each flavor costs a different amount. My daughter got a cone the other day and it looked like a teeny bit of yogurt but they put chocolate chips in the bottom of the cone so she was happy in the end. If one opens near Park Meadows or anywhere closer to me, I will develop an addiction. I may already have one, but too far to make a special trip so I think I'm safe...for now. read more
