I stopped by in here a week ago when the weather was lovely outside. The inside of pink berry is warm and inviting with plenty of natural light. The lady who served me was attentive and friendly. She let me sample the base flavors before moving onto toppings. I decided to go with the hazelnut base flavor and moved onto the toppings. I got Nutella, cinnamon crunch and graham crumbles in a small size cup. The total ended up being over $6 which is steep. Went in by myself and the front was empty. After waiting 2 employees rushed out. Lacking on customer service as employees are emotionless. And because it's not self serve I feel like you are forced to hurry and order as they just stare for you to order & leave, there was no greeting, smiles, or anything. I ask them to put 2 different flavors in and it felt like it was a hassle. OK, so yesterday I stopped in to try Pinkberry (again). There was no line, which was very very very good. I just could not imagine having to wait behind people as they try to decide what they want as toppings. Keep in mind that I rarely do toppings, so I want to be able to skip around these people. Maybe the person helping you (who in my case was very helpful, friendly and chipper) does that, but visions of Subway come to mind where your sandwich is stuck in line, on that long skinny cutting board, no matter what. So the yogurt was OK. I did get the watermelon and it tasted good, but neither myself nor my wife would ever have identified it as watermelon. Maybe if I had gotten the fresh watermelon as a topping? Just kidding, I don't like toppings. For an overall dining experience I can't bring myself to a three-star A-OK rating, as I just can't get past the non-self serve model. I've been here about two times since finding it and both times have been great! The staff are all friendly and were willing to handle my friends odd requests. My favorite thing about this place is that it's not like most froyo places. Most places charge by the weight of the cup at the end, but this place just charges on the cup itself as opposed to weight. This leaves me more room to get all of the fruit I want lol I personally always get the coconut froyo with whatever fruit they have that day and coconut shavings but I did try the original and mango flavors from my friends and they all were really good. The mango, however, was a little more tart than expected so some people might not like that. Just something to consider before ordering it if you prefer sweeter flavors. Omigawd.. I've been sucked into deliciousness that is Pinkberry. I always see tweets about people going to Pinkberry and totally wonder why this place keep popping up in my Twitter feed. Their yogurt is totally creamy and sweet. I actually like my yogurt a little more tart so I took a star off for that. They only have six flavors, I was able to try 3 (original, mango, and coconut) . Coconut was kinda bland, so I went with original and mango. Their toppings are the same as other yogurt shops so that wasn't extraordinary. I do prefer topping my own yogurt as opposed to someone else doing it for me. (I like a higher fruit to yogurt ratio) Overall, I really like this place. I'm still a Yogurtland fan but since this place is much more convenient for me, I'll be stopping here in between my Yogurtland fix. :D read more

Pinkberry opened in Arlington last week or so and last night we decided to give it a whirl. Everyone raves about this place, it's the cool see-and-be-seen thing to do in Dallas, LA, Miami, etc., so when it came to lowly Arlington we had to give it a whirl. And now I can honestly say I don't see what all the fuss is about. How is this any different or better than any other yogurt joint? Any other Mom & Pop yogurt place? Is it the fancy name, the cool branding and that it was started in LA and LA is the Mecca of all things cool and trendy? (Heavy sarcasm there.) Albeit the customer service was great -- they let us taste every flavor, they walked us through how it worked, the pricing is straightforward and simple, you're not really getting ripped off... But was the yogurt the best thing since sliced bread? Nope, same as the rest, really. Sure, it was a little creamier and had more of an ice cream texture opposed to the typical-Slurpee like texture, but the flavors weren't as amazing as you'd think they'd be for the place everyone won't shut up about. The coconut was really good and I'd order that next time I went in, but I won't drive out of my way to get it. And just like Cat N. said, the toppings are nothing special and frankly, there aren't a ton of them. Pure Bliss a mile or two away has plenty more to choose from and honestly, the yogurt is just as good. Sure you have to pay by weight there, but I am cool with that. It's pretty clean inside and the employees are nice always making sure you're getting what you want. The only problems I have here is the inconsistency with how much froyo and toppings you're getting. It varies between each employee.
