Cookie heaven! Adorable place for the perfect treat! There's limited seating, I think there was one table, then a short bar-like counter with a few yellow stools, cutesy. Downtown Arlington also has benches everywhere & their happens to be one right outside the shop. I ordered a red velvet cookies 'n cream (seasonal/limited) but was debating on the getting the Dreamweaver ice cream instead but I just didn't want alot, it was purple s'mores ice cream with chocolate chip cookies & white stars. Hubs got an ice cream sandwich with snickerdoodle cookies. He chose the peanut butter insomniac tracks for his ice cream choice, it had PB cups in it. When the staff member asked if he wanted both scoops to be the same we were like "Ooh, TWO scoops!?" & well, wife rights & privilege... say no more. My cookie was warm, soft, & chewy! It wasn't super sweet, just perfect. I didn't try the snickerdoodle cookie but the Dreamweaver was, a dream. Lol. PB wasn't bad either but I liked the Dreamweaver better. We were in town and had a little extra time, so we stopped in for something sweet. The place is small, but clean and even had a restroom which was nice. The options were a little slim, I'm assuming because of the time we arrived but the person working was baking more cookies to restock. He was very nice and patient as we had never been there before. It says it's open on Google Maps, Apple Maps, and on the Insomnia website and app, but it is closed. It is currently 12:45am on Friday but it says it closes at 3am. I am disappointed. There's another person in this review section that said it and I'll say it too, this location has a cookie thief in its midst. Someone liked that Google review today, and I felt irked remembering someone would steal a sweet treat in this climate. DoorDash notified me this Insomnia location was doing deliveries that night, and the Insomnia customer service line not connected to the actual location stated in speculation they could be using a DoorDasher. Why would anyone take a speculation from a call center over the customer service rep at DoorDash looking at what the setting is on the DoorDash app for Insomnia? Right I'm no stranger to a rat around cheese, the cookies are good. Sounds like someone at this location is taking advantage of a loophole, which will be an exciting work ethic tactic to bring into corporate America for them. Usually those positions come with benefits - which I DO hope whoever stole my cookies takes advantage of because their health must be declining eating all that sugar and butter. Dental and a low deductible PPO coverage is a MUST in our healthcare system for someone of their position. I'd say I respect the hustle, but I firmly know that in Arlington, whoever is doing this is also skimping their friends on grass, mooching off their loved ones, and will end up wondering mid to late twenties, if they're not already there, why life can't be easier. We got regular choc chip and the gluten free choc chip. Both were warm soft and delicious. I literally couldn't tell the difference between the regular and gluten free. They both tasted really good. I had more recently heard about insomnia cookies, but this is my nearest location which is sill about a 20-30 minute drive from me. I was in the area and put in an order to pick up on my way home. Parking is an issue which I somewhat expected it to be as close as it is to UTA. There is parallel parking near the door but all but one was taken and the cars to the front & back of where I could have parked made it tough to squeeze in. There's a parking garage but it's unclear if it's for residential, so I opted to chance parking at a nearby parking lot for a business a quick walk away. Came in about 5 minutes past my pick up time. Had to call out for an employee. He was nice, but let me know it would be a few minutes and grabbed boxes to start my order. Really made me question the point in pre-ordering. About 10 minutes later another employee brought out my order, at this point 15 minutes past my original pick up time. Because I was worried about my parking situation not sure how closely the restaurants lot was watched, I went ahead back to my car. Luckly I thought to check it once I sat down. One flavor of our mini cookies had been swapped for chocolate chip, and I noticed when I got home one of the m&m's had also been swapped. Not wanting to leave my car a second time I called. They let me know they were out of the red velvet I had ordered, and had been for about a week, and corporate doesn't let them remove it from mobile ordering. Totally get, but I let them know it would have been better to let me know at the start so I could have picked another flavor myself. (Or call my 8 year old who had picked the red velvet.) She did make it right by refunding me a portion of my order. Once we got home we tried our items and liked them. Though we have a number of other cookie places much closer to home with similar or better products that we may as well stick closer to home. I'm sure we may give another location a shot, probably on the Ft Worth side or if they make their way to the mid-cities. Though I don't plan on stopping by this location again unless someone I'm with really wants too. read more

I love this place. They're open late and who doesn't love warm cookies? And ice cream. And a Coca Cola! They have 1 gluten free cookie option (chocolate chip) which I so appreciate, and it costs the same as their other basic cookies flavors. It's really rare and nice to not see an up-charge for a gluten free or vegan cookie. The "classic cookies" are each $2.45: chocolate chip, peanut butter, sugar, snickerdoodle, oatmeal raisin, m&m, double chocolate chunk, white chocolate macadamia, etc. There are even a few flavors I wouldn't necessarily consider "classic" for $2.45 like cold brew latte, double chocolate mint, and birthday cake. Yum. Then there's the "deluxe" cookie options for $3.95 like confetti, salted caramel, Reese's peanut butter cup, s'mores, and fun rotating flavors like the "Cap'n Crunch's Crunch Berries 'N Milk Filled Deluxe," described as "brown sugar dough mixed with crushed Cap'n Crunch Berries cereal, strawberry bits, and filled with a cereal milk buttercream." Sounds like too much for one cookie but I still kinda want it.. Insomnia Cookies also has ice cream and serves all cookies fresh and warm in a small cardboard box. I saw that they sell "cookie nachos" which is just layers of cookies with toppings like chocolate or caramel sauce, sprinkles, chopped candy bars, cookie dough bits... now that IS too much for me, but does sound kinda fun for a special occasion. I also just saw that Insomnia Cookies sells "big (or little) dipper" boxes of cookies with a side of cream cheese or buttercream frosting for dipping... Ooooooh. This Insomnia just opened up near UTA right under Park Place which is dangerously convenient. Their cookies were as good as other insomnia locations. My favorite in the Classic 6 pack was the Chocolate Chunk and the Snickerdoodle. It is a smaller store so there isn't much inside seating, but I usually take my cookies to-go. Staff was pretty friendly and I received my order within 2-4 minutes of ordering. read more

Absolute worst service ever. I ordered it through DoorDash. It never got here. They blamed DoorDash. They swear to me that it was picked up. DoorDash said insomnia cookies is responsible for their own delivery. Nonetheless, I had to break my back and my neck after telling them, I just had heart surgery. I cannot drive to convince them that their driver never dropped off cookies here. They made me jump through hoops of fire to convince them that they never got here it never happened. The person never dropped off the cookies here I don't care where they went, but they only answer the phone and here's the gag.....If you press one about an existing order, they never answer the phone. So if you wanna get somebody on the phone press three it's gonna take you to customer service which is not going to be anywhere near where you live And they are not going to try to reconcile it fairly. They're basically either you want us to re-deliver it or you don't. There's no way to track it through DoorDash once they've done that themselves. They don't take pictures. They didn't ring the doorbell. They didn't follow any of the very clear instructions. I have about how to get to my house which is very very easy. They really feel like it's OK to get away with throwing it on a Dasher, whose car never moved on the map. It consistently just said that they were preparing the cookies. It never once said that they were ever picked up. I even told them maybe the wrong Dasher picked them up and took them somewhere else. They didn't wanna take responsibility for that either and when I say they, I'm saying insomnia cookies. They were absolutely awful to deal with. I'm so disappointed. I can barely eat right now post surgery and I really just wanted to bite of something sweet. They are 3.2 miles away from me, which is why I have to stress that I have a heart condition but for anything to make me this upset because of how rude and unconcern they are on the phone. I assure you the cookies cannot possibly be that good to go through all of that. Their dasher never called and said they were lost. I never even got to try the cookies.
