The kids I've seen working there are kind and patient with people's questions and quick with counting change -- it's cash-only here! This isn't the kind of snow cone stand where you hang out during the day -- you're in a parking lot with no tables and zero shade. This is literally just a little box of a building with a window -- a happy fortress of frozen treats in the middle of an asphalt desert. I cant believe i passed this place at least twice a day for the last 6 years and never tried it!! I never though these snow cones were that good but now i see what the hype is about. First of all,,,********** CASH***********ONLY*********CASH ONLY**** They are located at the corner of the shopping strip next to the tattoo shop so once your in line is hard to back out because the set up funnels you into a one way. There is always a line to get snow cones and its usually 4-6 cars on a good day. Usually only about 2-3 cars are able to pull up into the drive through whiteout blocking the entrance ramp to the strip mall. So if you are about the 4th car and further up the line make sure you keep that space IN front of the entrance open or you might get hit by cars entering the lot. I really wish they would put it in another park of the parking lot to easy the congestion. They do have one picnic table where you can sit and enjoy the snow cone if its a nice day outside but in Texas that's never really the case. You can walk up to the stand and order at the window but it would be the same as waiting in your car. I normally go to Bahama Bucks for my snow cone needs but the collins location is the nearest to me. Now that i discover this place i will make it a priority to stop here before going to BB. What i was surprised by the most was the prices for their snow cones. You can get a medium for $2 and a small for $1, any additional add on's are only 50 cents. Going to BB I can easily spend about $4 for a baby size snow cone, you definitely get more bang for your buck here. I was also surprise by how soft the snow is, is almost as soft as the one from BB but way cheaper. The variety of flavor is good and I really enjoyed the mermaid with cream along with the jamaican-me-crazy flavor. The Dr Pepper flavor taste just like the real thing and i recommend getting the cream on that one too and giving it a few minute to kind of melt and you got yourself a better taste root-beer float type of snow cone. I will make sure to have cash on hand to stop by and try a new flavor next time I drive there. read more

This is a staple in Arlington. If you know, you know. The flavors are so tasty and they do not skimp on the juice! Don't miss out, add the cream to it - thank me later. The ice is smooth, not the think crunchy pieces so places serve. Note keep in mind they get busy, I mean busy. Get some gas and wait in line, it's still worth it. Oh Snowflake Factory, you've been at this same awkward/rundown strip center for at least 20 years. You're still serving the same basic snow cones given to you by some Arlington High School soon-to-be-senior for around $1.50. Ice + sugary syrup = awesome. It is what it is. A hot date on a hot afternoon would include grabbing a snow cone here then walking over to the Tuesday Morning (God Rest its soul) and seeing what crap they had to offer there. Snowflake is hands down one of my favorite snow cone places ever! Luckily I work in the area so after a rough, hot day at work I will often head to Snowflake to have a snow cone. The prices are good. I like really fluffy ice but at this visit is was not so fluffy. I think they need to sharpen the blade on the machine. They were very generous with the syrup so next time I'll ask them to go a little lighter. This may not be the case for you. My wife is a sucker for the strawberry cheesecake with cream(50cents extra). If your feeling dangerous get the plunge($1 extra) frozen yogurt in the bottom. I went here today in the early evening. Drive thru line was very long & very slow. They also had a few people that talent to the walk up window. When I got there I placed my order and it did not take long to be made. That surprised me considering the cars ahead of me each only ordered 1 snowball & it took quite a while. Since it was my first time there I chose a basic/ordinary flavor. I went with the strawberry & I added cream. The taste was underwhelming. Not very much flavor and not sweet. The line moved quickly. When I got to window they informed me that they don't accept debit cards. Had to go home and get cash from hubby. Went back and got my snow cone. It was good. At that point I was kinda annoyed but I will go back. Just make sure and bring cash. I never carry cash so that's going to steer me from making more frequent stops. The ice is shaved down to a fine thin ice that just is just unthinkable it is sooooo good!!!!!
