Getcha Sum is a hidden gem, in Mansfield. I was in South Arlington for an event that ended early. I wasn't quite in the mood for food, but the heat was pounding and something cold was needed. Of course, I did a quick Yelp search for "nearby" and uncovered Getcha Sum. A quick glance at the photos and near-perfect reviews had me anticipating something sweet! I was pleasantly surprised. For someone who only occasionally eats ice cream, I was delighted by the choices including a non-dairy option. Cookies n'cream was an easy go-to and hard to get wrong. Strawberry lemonade sorbet sounded like the perfect end to my Sunday. I chose both! Oh-emm-gee! It was some of the best I've had in quite some time. Smooth and flavorful, but not overly sweet. Every bite had crumbled cookies. For the sorbet, the balance of flavor was on point and was close to water ice in consistency. Customer service was perfect. The associate was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful (offered an insulated bag to prevent melting on my long drive home). She explained that all flavors are made in-house, are limited quantity, and are rotated regularly (sometimes a few times a week). There is another location that is parlor style and serves scoops, cones, etc. This location is carry-out for 6oz and 16oz servings. Hidden in an office park. Clean interior. Friendly staff. This isn't the actual ice cream shop--it's the production facility. They do sell ice cream here, just not by the scoop. The real issue, though, was the smell. Yikes! I'm not sure what it was, but it was strong enough to completely kill our interest in trying anything they make. Nope... hard pass. read more

Gettcha Sum is a lovely ice cream establishment located in Mansfield, TX, that serves the community with delicious ice cream in a cup or cone that will definitely put a smile on your face! We dropped by on a weekday during the hot Texas summer months to have a sweet cold treat and left happy. The staff was very welcoming and displayed great customer service while we walked in. The young lady asked us if we had been here before and gave us some information about all the ice cream and how they make the ice cream in house and rotate flavors throughout the month. We decided to get the cinnamon toast crunch and a chocolate brownie ice cream. Both were delightfully tasty, and the flavor profile was spot on. There is a 2nd location near downtown Mansfield on Broad St that opened recently and is nestled in a beautiful bright blue and white cottage style house. I highly recommend coming here and having some ice cream with friends and family because this place doesn't disappoint, and it will indeed put a smile on your face! read more

I forgot to take a picture of my ice cream but it was so good. They rotate flavors and I got the Peanut Butter Caramel Rice Krispies. I'm speechless it was so good. They also have great seating options, their little outside from patio seating is super cozy. The guy helping us was nice too! Parking is a little rough but so worth it for the ice cream. read more

Pretty good flavors and prepacked pinta and container rather than scoopable. So it's difficult to try a flavor before you buy it. But luckily the ones I ordered were good. Strawberry Cheesecake, Oreo Brookie, and Cotton Candy. Worth a try. Customer service is awesome too. read more

Decided to try this place out and it was off the beaten path but found it. We got apple pie cinnamon toast crunch and coconut pineapple. I would rank apple pie 9/10. I would rank coconut pineapple 6/10 because it was mainly pineapple, we couldn't taste the coconut at all. I will definitely come back. It is all to go and in a small version which is 1.5 scoops or a pint. They give you spoons to eat it with but it is not your typical scoop and eat place. read more

If you aren't familiar with the Mansfield area you'll miss it. It's tucked behind another building but the reviews speak for itself. This a family owned business and I got to speak to Raul ( sorry if I spelled it wrong). He was very nice and gave us some background on how they got started and how the ice cream is made. This is far better than any chain ice cream. Please go and show this local business love. It's something earning to know that they are real people with real stories offering good treats to their community. We had cookies and cream, Italian ice cream, and hazelnut cookies and cream swirl with brownie I believe. Don't quote me either way they are all good! We also had one of the ice cream sandwiches. It's how your typical size but packed with flavor. Every week they have new flavors and that alone will keep us coming back. read more

Get to Mansfield now and get some of this ice cream. It is packed with so much flavor. Amazing flavors like Key Lime Pie, Banana Pudding, and Hazelnut Chocolate Cupcake. Definitely the best ice cream I've ever had, this and Andy's Custard are my favorite dessert places. They sell ice cream in regular pint containers for about $10, which felt like a bit much but I think it was worth it for the quality. It looks cool inside but it's very small and we did go after a couple of minutes. The guy at the desk definitely seemed to know his product and was passionate about it. I'd definitely recommend this place, even just to split a pint. read more

First of all... AMAZINGGGG! My family was in the area looking for dessert and this ice cream shop popped up. I am sooo glad we chose this place. The owner was very kind and helpful when it came to our questions about the flavors. We got three different flavors- triple berry cobbler, caramel chocolate chip, and chocolate max pb. They were all super delicious and not overpowering on any flavor. I definitely appreciated the yummy chunks with every bite. The kiddos and I devoured! I also really liked that the ice creams were already pre packed into containers. It was super quick and convenient to take home. My family will be returning soon to try other flavors. I wish we had the chance to include a picture but we were so excited to eat it! read more

This is BY FAR the best I e cream I have had in a very long time ! I took my daughter after school one day. Walked in to a very inviting atmosphere. The guy at the counter was genuinely friendly and gave us his opinion of the different flavors. We ended up with red velvet cake , milk and cookies and CHOCOLATE. They were all so good however .. I don't know what kind of chocolate it was but it was like no other chocolate ice cream I have had. It was so freaking good! It was almost like bitter dark chocolate and milk chocolate perfectly mixed! The red velvet cake had .. HUGH amounts of cake in it and it was so velvety and creamy. The milk and cookies tasted so good it was a twist on cookies and cream. Instead of Oreos you have chocolate chip cookies and they have PLENTY of cookies in it! I honestly don't understand why if your in Mansfield you havnt been here! I have lived in the area for 7 years and I am ashamed I haven't been here before yesterday! Came into town to visit some family and stumbled onto this gem of a place. Hands down the best ice cream in the area. If I lived here, I'd be going every single day. Also, the owner is a recent college graduate with an entrepreneurial spirit who's back in his home town trying to better his community. The staff behind the counter yelled out a greeting to us as soon as we entered and each that we interacted with afterwards was very warm and kind. Our orders: - indulgent bbq burger meal - a regular double cheeseburger with lettuce and mustard meal - bacon cheeseburger meal - little cheeseburger meal There were a few issues, but they didn't ruin the overall experience: - the buns were cold on all of our burgers - the original booth where we sat had water damage in the ceiling tiles above it that dripped onto us, so we moved to another table.

It started picking up around 6:30/7 pm and the staff there was working to get orders put out. I feel like a lot of the staff are just high school or college students who are there temporarily. It's not service like Chick Fil A but they're still nice people and they're doing their job. The restaurant was clean and my food was good. I just wish the cherry dip was a little thicker on my cone. Definitely park on the side instead of the front of this location if you want to get out easily. My car was parked right by the menu of the drive thru and there were three cars in line.

OMG.... THE best ice cream we have ever had. My husband and I found this place after eating some dinner in the area (Shogun Sushi by the way) and googling an ice cream spot in the area. The location of the place is ..can easily be missed but so glad we found it. It's not your typical place where you watch them scoop your ice cream; they have it already in containers (different sizes) ready for you. We ordered PB Caramel Brookie Swirl, Brookie Swirl Crunch, Cinnamon Roll, Red Velvet, and Cookies and Cream Swirl. I know Im not the only one...when you buy an ice cream at the store and then when you go to eat it, you are searching around for the best bites. You guys.. EVERY bite is the best bite.
