I initially came to DQ because I wanted a cherry dilly bar. Unfortunately they only have chocolate dilly bars, but the woman who took my order quickly said I can order a cherry dipped cone instead. I think she was the manager. I also ordered a bacon cheeseburger. She was nice enough to tell me I can get my cone after my meal, which I'm glad that was an option. I ended up taking my time eating there. It's not bad. It started picking up around 6:30/7 pm and the staff there was working to get orders put out. I feel like a lot of the staff are just high school or college students who are there temporarily. It's not service like Chick Fil A but they're still nice people and they're doing their job. The restaurant was clean and my food was good. I just wish the cherry dip was a little thicker on my cone. It's dairy queen. It's not super fast like some of the popular places but it's made to order and quick for what it is. Everytime I come here the food is fresh and hot. It's always delicious. Yeah, there's a bit of a wait but they're making it to order. The restaurant is clean with several places to sit, and there's always parking. Last time we had some restroom issues, because someone was camping in there and it's a single restroom. Sometimes the music in the kitchen can be a little loud. Overall, I'm not expecting a fine dining experience though. The food is good. Overall I think 4 stars is deserved. read more

Dairy Queen is located off Broad St in Mansfield, TX serving their famous blizzards, chocolate dipped ice cream, and many other lunch favorites! We came through on a Sunday afternoon looking to get a small treat but left with more than we expected. Inside the dining area was fairly crowded but manageable to find a seat. We were greeted with a warm welcome from the staff and were told about specials they had going on. After browsing the menu that was posted above the cashier, we decided to get the 4 steak fingers which came with fries, toast and a side of gravy. We also got the Oreo blizzard and a chocolate dipped ice cream cone for the road. The food came out fairly quick and was hand delivered by the staff to our table. The steak fingers tasted good and were fresh out of the fryer along with the salted fries. The blizzard had a good number of Oreos packed in the ice cream. The chocolate dipped ice cream had a nice cold seal of chocolate with creamy vanilla inside. Overall, the food and ice cream were okay but i felt the prices were a little steep for the type of food being served here. The customer service was awesome, and the staff seemed energetic and happy to be there. Along with the atmosphere and ambiance the building seemed a little outdated as well. read more

Never, ever go to this DQ. The drive-thru line took 20 minutes to get through 3 cars (not even in a dinner rush, 8pm), I was asked to go to the front to wait for my blizzard and they never came out. After 20 minutes of waiting I went inside to ask. It took them another 15 minutes to get it. The customer service is awful. This was my first time coming back in a while. It had to be at least 4-5 years the last time I went there it was terrible. But my mother was told by a friend of hers who works there that "things got better" and "everything has improved". I wish she was telling the truth but in reality it was far from it. So then i ask "ok in that case can I have a thing of DQ sauce" because I wanted to try it. But low and be hold THEY RAN OUT OF THAT TOO!!! So then I'm just sitting there wondering "how do you run out of gravy and your own restaurant sauce" this was probably genuinely the worst experience i have had at dairy queen. To compensate for not having any gravy or sauce the guy behind the counter says "I can offer you a free ice cream instead" so then I'm just thinking "ok i guess that works". To make matters worse the food was mediocre at best and even my father didn't have a good time in his words he said "yea we're never coming back this lettuce tastes funny". The only reason this review gets at least a star is because the cashier and manager tried to compensate me for my bad experience. The place is still dirty from last time I was there there were cups people had left and trash under the booths. Nobody came to clean it up. I see why this place has little to no stars and is severely under staffed. This place wont make it much longer if it continues to operate the way it does. I know I am not alone when it comes to this place. A good 80% of these reviews are 3 stars and lower the good reviews come from at least 8+ years ago when the place was actually good. My only hope is that this place undergoes a serious change because at this rate they are destined to close down and there is no chance they will re open if that happens. I was hoping this place would improve after the remodel. I was wrong it got worse. I am showing Tiffany the manager the oreo blizzard and asked her where the oreos were. Showing her nothing but vanilla in a cup. She said they were in there but the machine grinds them down so they are now I presume invisible. My wifes fluffernut was wet not thick everything settled to the bottom. About ten years ago this place was great. They didn't turn the deserts upside down like they used to because it would run out all over the ground. read more

Think twice before ordering here. The new employee has zero skills and no personality or intelligence at all. She didn't add my first choice and when she brought the other 3 items, I mentioned it to her and she said she would have to ring it up so I told her to get the manager because this was her mistake, not mine so she needed to find a way to fix it. The manager came and I explained and she gave me the item for free. Each item took too long to get to us and they kept coming approximately five minutes apart so by the time the last order arrived, the first two were already gone. Posted hours say open until 10pm. I arrive at the drive thru at 9:39pm. It's shut off. Ask the employee taking trash out, "What time do you close?" The answer was 10pm, "but we started shutting everything off. Sorry." Why would they post hours that say 10pm, when they really close at 9:30pm? This is the service/hospitality industry, but this location seems to be lacking this key ingredient. Especially during this shelter in place time, you would think they would appreciate the patronage. The WORST customer service! Placed an order at 6:37pm in the drive thru, get asked to park so I do. 20 minutes later not good, two employees have come to my parked vehicle TWICE asking what my order was and both left. Send my teenager to check on the order while I stay with my little ones and he comes back with only our ice cream. They said they were having problems with their fryer which in and of itself is bad but to not even tell us and just let us sit in the parking lot waiting is outrageous ! After damn near an hour of waiting at 7:25pm I go inside and am greeted by a man that looks like he's in no hurry to work. He barely mutters any words much less an apology, NOTHING! I am very disappointed with This Dairy Queen. I make it a point to go there very regular. I love their steak fingers and ice cream. We went a few weeks ago on a Thursday and ordered 2 meals. It was slow. No problem until it came out and it was missing bread and only a few fries. We made them fix it. We have been going there once a week for a while and just ordering ice cream after dinner somewhere else. Today we walked in and got a negative response. They said the dining room is now closed. No reason given. They said the drive through is the only thing open. There was 4 employees hanging out. I think I am through with Dairy Queen for a while. Plenty of other places.
