If I could give them NO STARS, I would. DO NOT USE THEM. We…read more used them to move us from Mobile Al to Arizona back in July 2020. Worst experience ever. All the movers did was complain the entire time that the items were too heavy, they didnt want to move in the rain..etc. you name it, they complained. Meanwhile we were assured these people were professionals and would take care of our effects. They left for lunch at 12p and never came back until we called the customer service dispatch to find out when these people were going to finish the job,. Finally showed up around 3p. extremely unhappy. Then finally when everything was moved out of the house. We see that they left the clipboard with the bill of lading on the counter. Tracked the driver down(he had not left the area yet) and gave it to him. No thank you , nothing. Finally we get on the road and were told by the driver they would arrive at destination on the 5th August, which was fine because we knew we would arrive by then. However we get a call from dispatch telling us they would be arriving 2 days earlier. no way we could make it by then. so we are told if you cant make it we will have to put your effects in storage at YOUR EXPENSE. we ended up having get our realtor to hire someone to supervise the unloading of the truck into the house. Thank God she took pictures. Items that were on the back, NEVER made it into the house. STOLEN. while we unpacked the boxes, we noticed stereo equipment in pristine condition when we gave it to them was NOT bubble wrapped and protected. Just thrown on their sides in a box with NO padding ( one of the items was a Marantz tuner that belonged to my father) doesnt work now. NONE of our furniture was wrapped in plastic, just thrown in the back of the truck. Filthy. Everything had to be shampooed. Our mattresses were never put in mattress boxes (which we paid for by the way) also filthy. Wood furniture damaged, scratches everywhere. Refrigerator that had been lovingly cared for(not a scratch or dent) thrown on the truck with items thrown on top.unwrapped. now i have gouges in the front. a chest freezer we had just bought. has a massive dent on the lid. Pottery that my husband and I spent a year picking out, NEVER wrapped. just thrown in the bottom of a box. broken. Things missing out of boxes. We paid for 100K dollars insurance coverage. obviously that was futile. they did nothing for us. We contacted an independent adjuster they did nothing for us. We did all the work, researching replacement costs, taking pictures etc. That was a total waste. Submitted a claim for 30K, Allied sent their guy to look and decided it was only worth 6k. BUT I will say the guy they sent made a big show of agreeing with us and telling us we had ALOT of DAMAGE. but did they care NO ! MY ADVICE?....STAY AWAY FROM ALLIED VAN LINES. THEY ARE CROOKS.

They're apparently based out of North Carolina...so that's a bit disappointing. The guys showed up bright and early this morning and told me they were going to pick up 5 items (it was supposed to be 6) and this was the first indication of trouble ahead. The person that seemed in charge this morning didn't think his truck could get down the lane due to tree limbs and hanging telephone lines which is understandable, safety first right? So we walked down to the box truck (exactly the same size and design as the trucks that delivered our stuff in the first place, what a coincidence!) and I noticed that one lane was completely passible, but he said he couldn't bring the truck down and his boss was trying to call me. His boss (in North Carolina) asked me if there was a U-Haul nearby, so that I could rent a truck to ferry the furniture and appliances from the house to the truck. I replied that I wasn't aware of a U-Haul anywhere nearby. And as the appliances were upright full sized refrigerators, I didn't think that was going to be doable, and might remove the need for the big truck in the first place, so I told him that I didn't think we could do business. So his guys left. Hope they had a great breakfast. Too bad they didn't have a smaller box van with a lift gate, and too bad the men that showed up had a Can Don't attitude. As no money was exchanged there's no harm, no foul, but I have been hearing about this all day from my wife...oh well, I'll know better next time.

I wish I had come here and read the reviews 1st before hiring these movers - I would have went with…read morea different company. Don't be fooled by the brand name. Movers broke my furniture, lost pieces and left parts behind preventing full re-assembly. I had to catch and hold a column of wrongly stacked boxes from falling over (large boxes were stacked on top of small). I had to lift and move several items myself (42 yr old mom) with 3 movers on site. It's been nearly 3 weeks after my move and I still have no pillows or bedding - been sleeping on a mattress for 3 weeks. Every night I go to sleep I'm reminded of the moving experience with Two Men and a Truck. I specifically told them which items go inside the new residence and which ones go to storage .... multiple times. My bedding and a number of other items were placed in storage (after being told they go into the new home). Everything is stacked in a 10x10 storage unit and items are buried under boxes and I don't know which items are where. I caught one of the movers carrying on a lengthy conversation with some random person on the sidewalk while being paid $285/ hr. Absolutely NOT worth the nearly $2,000 I was charged and paid for a local move. I gave the movers drinks and snacks half way through the move (because it was hot & I care) which they promptly discarded the bottles and packaging in the street and on the front lawn of my new residence. At the end of it all, I was in tears. I highly recommend to please find a different moving company at a better price. Try Angie's List or check your local storage companies, they usually have recommendations for good movers. The level of experience, care, and professionalism that I was expecting simply was not there. They do not exhibit nor do they honor a so called "Grandma Rule". I emailed about the damages as instructed .... nothing ... but silence. I had quotes from multiple movers and all were lower than Two Men and a Truck. Despite being the highest of all the quotes, I thought it would be worth the extra funds for experienced & professional movers, but that's not what I got. The service was not at all worth the $285/ hr I paid. Save your money and find a better moving company.
