When hired the services I explained and made clear the size and weight of my furniture and that will be need 3 movers to move this furniture piece. The showed up with 2. When I heard the noise and asked what has happened they tried to hide and mask the furniture with a touch up pencil. They do not provided Accident Report paperwork to report the accident and damaged the notes was made in the back of a receipt "very poorly print and hard to ready" then I was promised to be contacted by a specialist come and restore the furniture and make things right. so far it has been 11 days and NO one contacted me neither NO one answers the phone when we call. I never use movers when I move. However, I asked many ppl who to use. Everyone said, 'Use Motivated Movers'! So I hired them. Big mistake. I told them what I had to move but when they arrived, they acted like it was way too much and that I hadn't been transparent. It took them hours to move me. Had to bring more ppl in, AND another truck! But they never finished the job. They left many furniture pieces, boxes and even took a door off and did not replace it. I had Open House the next day. 1200$ later, I am NOT happy and am mortified. I had a terrible experience with them. I don't care how many ppl they brought in nor the extra truck!!(which they could have put the last pieces in btw) THEY DID NOT FINISH THE JOB. I called them and they said they would come put the door back on, but that they would have to charge me for the rest of the furniture, boxes etc. Will NOT be recommending these guys ever again. read more

Brein and Prim were excellent! they were on time, professional, polite, efficient and strong! We needed to empty out our 10x10 storage unit, then get a king sized bed and several (30+) boxes from our home and go 4 hours to our new home. In our new home, most of the stuff needed to go upstairs - and the stairs were very tight. but they managed to get everything in without barely a scratch!! We were very impressed and would not hesitate to use them again! Their price was also competitive. read more

It's a long review, but if you are thinking of using these guys to move you I encourage you to read. I tried to attach pictures in this review but was unable to. We only had two men for the most part of the day that they packed us up . Charles, was there initially, and assured us everything would be wrapped before being loaded on the truck (that did not happen). After he left we had Darrell and Jerrius, with Jerrius being the lead. Jerrius spent a lot of time on his cell phone, texting and reading, browsing, etc. Darrell worked his butt off. Near the end of the day (in what was a very long day since there were only two workers), my furniture was not being wrapped. Ocassionally, a blanket would be thrown over something. I watched Jerrius take the headboard and footboard of our king size bed and just throw it on top and push it back. Neither was wrapped, and needless to say was badly scratched when delivered. Our furniture was scheduled be delivered the next morning at 8:00 a.m. Around 8:30 we get a call from Jerrius saying they were still at the hotel, but should be here in about an hour. At 10:46 he calls again wanting to know if we lived on a dirt road. I explained that our neighborhood was a 15 miles straight shot off 1-75 and not a dirt road anywhere near. At 11:36 Darrell calls and says they are stuck in sand pit and had called a tow truck. Long story short here, they did not make it to our house until around 3:00. Darrell again worked hard and could not apologize enough for the damaged furniture as he brought it in. He said the driver, Jerrius was in charge, and when he wanted to wrap furniture was told not to. Jerrius made numerous trips to the rest room where it sounded like he was vomiting. In conversation it came out that he was going through detox. Our refrigerator that was less than a year old and not a scratch on it was loaded near the very back of the truck. It was not wrapped. Nor was it placed in the truck with the front facing the side of the truck walls (to me, this is common sense, because it would prevent damage to the front of the refrigerator should something shift in transit). Needless to say, the refrigerator was delivered looking like it had a baseball bat taken to it, or that someone used it for target practice. There is no way anyone would ever use this refrigerator in their home looking like it does. The patio furniture chairs and tables were crammed on top of stuff next to the refrigerator. None of them were wrapped. No doubt in my mind that this is what dinged the refrigerator so badly. An approximately $2,800.00 refrigerator they offered us $240.00. An antique rocking chair that had been passed down for 4 generations in our family had a rocker and an arm completely ripped off, dents and scratches all over it. There is no way to put a dollar value on this. They offered us $18.00. This is just a few of the damages. Tyler who coordinated our move, apologized profusely and kept assuring us that he was working on it. After a week, I called Rob Sutton who is the regional supervisor. He explained that they in long distance moves they pay 60 cents per pound for damages if we did not take out additional insurance (which we didn't since we never needed it before with the prior two moves we had used them for). Tyler and Ron both told us that Jerrius was fired due to our move. Of course we went back and read all the fine print of an email attachment that was sent to us prior to our move and it does say that. But note, we did not sign that document. I want to point out 2 items on the document that we did sign that clearly states Motivated Movers: 1. Take every precaution to ensure the safe moving of all items in our care. 2. Cannot take responsibility for damages due to circumstances beyond our control. Motivated Movers did not properly wrap our furniture, nor pack it appropriately in the truck. They did not use due diligence to ensure the training of their employees, nor was there any supervision of their employees. Their driver having to be towed out of a sandpit must have cause more than normal shifting of the items in the truck. Everyone we spoke to at Motivated Movers was exceptionally nice and sympathetic that they know they damaged our furniture. But nice is not taking responsibility for the damage they did to our property. The integrity of this company is playing loud and clear to me. There is none. read more
