I drove to Atlanta from Birmingham to pick up a girlfriend from the airport. I had zero intentions of buying a dress that day. J. Andrew's was the only location that made the effort to fit me in their busy Saturday schedule. I know that this was asking a lot but they didn't make me feel bad about it. When we walked in we were greeted by the most kind lady and then introduced to Sarah and Fatima. They talked with me about what my dream gown would look like and then they did the shopping for me. This made things so much easier. It's not easy going through 100s of gowns and really not knowing what you're looking for. During the process of trying on dresses Fatima made me feel so comfortable. She is seriously the most kind person. When I tried on each gown Sarah was there to talk with me about what I did and did not like. They were both so very helpful. And I did not feel pressured or "sold to" at any point. I also did not feel like they were trying to pressure me into a higher priced dress or that they were trying to up sell me. During my first fitting everyone was just as great. The seamstress was also so extremely kind and she took her time with me. And of course Fatima and Sarah were there to make me feel so special all over again. My last fitting was very bittersweet. I was excited to have my beautiful dress and was ready to take it home but I will surely miss these awesome people. It is a one of a kind experience from start to finish at J. Andrew's Bridal. Dresses are affordable and they do offer a payment plan. And I was also really impressed with the cost of the alterations. Thank you Fatima and Sarah for helping me find my perfect dress! xoxo!

I experienced a first today! I walked into a 5 Below for the very first time. I was waiting five…read moreminutes for a nearby business to open, so I thought, "let me walk in and see what they have." I have to say, I was pretty impressed. It's a large store, very organized, and they have a little bit of everything in there. I can definitely see how someone could end up spending a whole lot of money, though, because those $5 items add up quickly! Also, some items are more than $5. Some of the items appeared to be a bit cheap, but others were surprisingly decent quality. I noticed they had quite a few books, coloring books, pencils, and games. They even had a cute candy section set up with old-school candies like Boston Baked Beans and Lemonheads. The service was also friendly. Since I was there early in the morning, it wasn't crowded. The cashier greeted me warmly, and when I told her it was my first time visiting, she welcomed me and said, "We hope to see you again!" It was a quick and easy process, and I can completely see why I always hear good things about 5 Below. I ended up walking out with some playing cards, Uno, and their version of Jenga, which looked pretty interesting. It seems like a fun place to take kids, especially if they have a little allowance money. Overall, I was very impressed with how organized everything was and I definitely plan on coming back again!

I searched some of the other consignment shops in Atlanta and felt they were still overpriced. I stumbled upon Three Peas and tried for months to get here. Today I finally made it. I was NOT disappointed! Their LV collection is impressive and includes a couple of 60 inch duffles. I spied a small bucket but to me it had more than normal wear and tear for the price. I found a gently used LV Looping bag and fell in love with it. The additional 15% off definitely swayed me. They also had an amazing sale on clothes and I purchased a strapless jumper with palazzo legs brand new with the tag for 75% off. I will definitely make the drive back for my next LV purchase.
