I love malls, they bring me back to the glory days of the 80's and 90's. All the kids wanted to hit the mall. Arcade, crappy food court slop. Watching girls walk around and not talking to them because i was too nervous. This mall seems to be alive still, Macy's is the anchor store and all the usual suspects are here. Foot locker. Victoria's dirty secret, aunt annie's pretzels, etc. I got here just as they opened waiting for my hostel to check in at 3. The a/c works well as it's hot outside in atlanta area. This town is called morrow and typical stuff is all around here, outlet stores gas station. Not a lot of hobos which is good since my backpack is strapped to my Motorcycle. I think walking around a mall is good exercise too, not to mention the people watching. Good times! read more

If I could give this restaurant at Southlake Mall in Morrow, GA, called J&J Wok & Grill a negative 100 stars, I would. I was extremely disappointed with the way my 82-year-old mother was treated. She politely asked the employee to give her a moment to decide what she wanted to order. Instead of showing a little patience and understanding, the employee responded, "We are busy and have other customers." That response was rude, disrespectful, and completely unnecessary. My mother is an elderly woman and deserved the same patience, courtesy, and respect as every other paying customer. Being busy is never an excuse to make an elderly customer feel rushed or unwelcome. Customer service matters, and so does how you treat people--especially our seniors. Management seriously needs to address how employees speak to and treat customers. I was beyond disappointed and angry with the way my mother was treated. read more

Been a long time since I been in the mall but I had some returns to make at Macy's. It's clean but not super crowded , seemed like it was well staffed throughout the mall. It was a week day. I was in the area to meet a friend and happened to visit this mall with her. It's not the biggest mall I have ever been to before, but as you can imagine it has the essential stores like Macy's, H&M, American Eagle Outfitters, Express and a food court with a good variety of options. The atmosphere is really nice and family friendly. The stores are nice and the building's design is great. Have a nice variety of clothes, shoes, food, perfumes, jewelry, etc. Here the staff was friendly and helpful at most of the stores. The prices are competitive and reasonable. Ample free parking is available in front and around the mall. The mall is maintained very clean and neat. I would sure recommend this place for a visit. If I am in the area would shop here again. read more

This was a great mall that declined and seems to be on the rose again. There are currently two anchor stores, Sears and Macy's. H&M opened within the last year. There are several sneaker stores, like foot locker and champs. There are also several specialty service stores, a barber shop, eyebrow shop, uniform store. The are some other urban clothing stores also. You will find various gadgets and popular tidbits on the carts that are located outside of the stores. The food court is decent, it has a variety of food options. There is also a carousel in the food court area. read more

At this point, Southlake Mall is the closest mall if you live in the South Fulton area or west side of Atlanta. Your other choices are Greenbriar which is dead & has no anchor stores or West End Mall which is even deader. I came here to make a return at Macys and do some last minute Christmas shopping. Well the mall was PACKED, but I was pleased to see most people masked up & playing it safe. Every store I passed had a long line & some like Bath & Body Works had a line out the door. All the shoe stores like Champs, Finish Line etc only allowed a certain number of people in the store at a time so their lines were backed up badly. All in all, Southlake has great options including Victorias Secret, H & M, Forever21. Hot Topic, Spencers, DTLR, and many other popular retailers. read more

I've been coming to Southake on and off since 98', and its kinda nice to see this place grow up. During the time when the mall was absolutely dead and seemingly 1/3 full, its cool to see it back to being a real mall with viable activity. Plenty of kiosks on both floors, mainstay department stores (i.e., Macy's) and two barbershops. Although not as upscale as Lennox, the mall itself is clean and within easy access to I-85 and Morrow road. Glad to see this place being lively again. read more

Malls can more or less fall into two categories. In one category, you have the great malls that have survived in spite of the retail apocalypse. These malls are located in great areas and are fun places to spend time. You then have malls like Southlake Mall that once thrived because of the fact that the mall was an institution in our society. Today, like most malls, Southlake Mall is struggling. Anchor stores Macy's (fighting but not dead yet) and Sears (closing - go grab the sweet sweet deals before they're gone) continue to exist even though they are the walking dead at this point. Store selection and the food court at this mall can all be collectively summed up with a resounding "meh." There's a carousel in the middle of the food court, and according to the Google machine, that's one of the highlights of this mall. There also is a Spencer's. That place is still surviving, although I wonder how many sales it actually makes. Southlake Mall is what it is. At this point, it definitely wouldn't make sense to try to renovate. If you absolutely must go to a mall and this is the closest one, then I suppose it'll do. read more

It has the basic anchor stores (Macy's, Sears) where you'll overspend but at least find an approximation of what you're looking for. There are smaller retailers which are great for young adults like H&M, Forever 21, and Rue 21. Cool streetwear places as well. But it's rather small. A bit antiquated. Lacking a real food court, or more than 3 or 4 stores you don't find everywhere else. Having just a pretzel place and a Cinnabon bothers me more than it should. If you end up here, you'll survive. But if you have the means, maybe give something else a try? read more

I went there last week to buy a present for my husband but while we were parking he got out to check if the car was correctly parked, he then got RAN OVER, YES RAN OVER!! and our two year old son saw everything from the backseat. VERY TRAUMATIC! His dad was gonna buy him a lego set for his birthday. What's worst is that the person who ran him over was one of the securities at this mall. He tried to make it seem like it wasn't a big deal. No one came up to us to help, never going back!! Will be hearing from my lawyers soon!! I just wanted some new shoes and to see what popping yesterday it was Saturday and crazy busy in this mall. Lines were outside of popular stores because they were only allowing a certain amount of people in each store. Kee don't stand in lines so I just went to less crowded stores. I love my people but this mall is ridiculously Ghetto. Smh most the staff is unprofessional. Omg they didn't even have the A/C on in this mall it was so Hot! I'm in a dressing room sweating tryna try on clothes. Wtf! I bought some white/gold adidas boost for women, a T-shirt, and an Ethika sports bra. This is not what I call shopping everything is picked over, poorly displayed and overpriced. My adidas were on sale for $70 originally $130, I was happy for that (finishline). Upon leaving I stopped at the food court and ordered chinese and a black man behind me was saying the food I ordered was his and he's behind me smh. The Chinese lady was so confused like it was her first day not paying attention at all. So yeah, I will be going to this mall NEVER AGAIN. It was like Soul plane had landed inside of Southlake Mall. Dear America, Y'all sure are funny. As a personal shopper, my daily assignments can change up dramatically from day to day. One day I'm shopping for cashmere bed linens and the next day I'm looking for urban wear and baseball caps. Which brought me to the Southlake Mall. I'm very un-urban, so I had no idea where to even start looking for the items that my client wanted, well I knew where to look, but was super shocked at the sticker prices on this urban wear. The mall is anchored by Sears and Macys. There are some other name brand stores in the mist like Victoria Secrets, American Eagle and Bath and Body Works, but nearly everything else in between is catered to men and women that wear urban street clothing, and let me tell you, that the price on some of that stuff is crazy. I was charged with purchasing two jogger suits and two Falcon hats, and some sneakers. Sneakers, super easy, there are at least 6 named brand sneaker stores (foot locker, champs, etc) and a couple others that sell urban wear and sneakers. Now let me also clear up that a jogger suit, is not the same as jogging suit. Joggers are the pants with the elastic in the ankle and sometimes they can be purchased with a coordinating top. The first set came up to $185, the brand was Hustle Gang, which is owned by the rapper T.I. and had the Hustle Gang logo on damn near everything. Now I was happy that my client did specify that he did not want the clothing to have multiple logos on it, so I was happy to hang that back up on the rack and move over to the next section. It sort of unfair to label it all as "urbanwear". Most people refer to some of the brands as skateboard wear, also. It seems as if skateboard clothing is also very popular for those that wear mostly urban brands. I have no idea, what makes T.I. so impressed with either of his clothing lines, but the clothing is quite pricey, probably the most expensive of all the other brands. I will admit the Akoo brand is much better quality and styling than the Hustle Gang brand, and the price reflects it also. $108 for a vest, $98 for jeans, and $32 for a t-shirt. Sure there are far more expensive brands, but most of those labels are not carried in this mall. But if you looking for any of the above, or Born Fly, or Staple, or Dope, and who knew that NBA great Patrick Ewing also has an urban wear clothing line. Most of the urban wear stores I visited have a no cash refund policy, but will accept returns for store credit or exchange, tags attached and not worn. The food court is similar to what you find in most lower end malls, there were possibly four different Chinese restaurants, Auntie Ann pretzels, and Sbarro pizza. I don't recall seeing any healthy alternatives, however there is a carousel in the food court. The mall was overly packed for mid-day on a Friday, but I figure it must be pay day for the massess and the BET Awards are in town for the weekend, so everyone had to get their gear right to be able to impress the rappers and hip hop stars that will be in the city til Monday. read more

Meh..... clean on the outside. Anchor stores are empty except Macy's. Hodgepodge of stores, many of which I have never heard of that sale a myriad of Chinese branded clothing and goods. Did find some knockoff designer jeans for cheap. But leaves the shopper wanting to go elsewhere to continue shopping. Would not recommend if you are looking for legit name brand clothing but great for finding affordable to cheap clothing. I am a unhappy citizen of Morrow Ga. April 11, 2018 at the SSA office I had an appointment to fill out paperwork I had no choice but to park at a emtpy southlake mall parking lot due to a full(inadequate) parking lot at the SSA office, came back to my car and other was booted. The man told me $50 dollars. Another lady just paid and I told her to stay while I called the police. Shame on you Mayor of Morrow,Morrow City Council and Southlake for taking advantage of seniors and our disabled folks. Trust me I will NEVER SET FOOT ON YOUR SOUTHLAKE MALL AGAIN!!!!! HINT!!!! Let me just say that this is usually a good mall; well it was before COVID 19. People were bustling around, happily, but COVID happened, and it got very quiet. The dressing rooms are closed, which got me very annoyed when you have a teenage daughter who needs to buy a home coming dress. It's definitely not the best mall in Georgia but it would do if you're looking for shoes there are more shoe stores than anything in this mall. Before covid-19 took place this mall will be full of kids running around but now it has come down tremendously this mall is definitely the more you go to if you know exactly what you're looking for and it's a quick in-and-out I wouldn't recommend this mall as the mall just to walk around and see what stores they have because they have the basic Mall stores nothing special read more

Alright.. now this isn't your Lenox Mall or Perimeter Mall but it is fairly decent. I am giving it 5 stars to balance out the bad reviews from people! Its not a discount mall.. It has many nice stores like Macys, Express, The Limited, Children's Place, Victoria's Secret, Aeropostale, Bath Body & Works, Spencer Gifts, Hot Topic, New York & Company, Foot Locker, etc. These are typical stores of any mall - Yes... there is no Salvatore Ferragamo, Louis Vuitton, FENDI and David Yurman... but seriously.. how many of you shop there on a daily basis! Even I cant on my RN salary! Anyways, I found a great Calvin Klein Suit for my interview tomorrow, I probably will not be shopping here for long since I plan to move closer to the city but for now, its will be my go to mall! :) Happy Shopping!! read more

Well, don't expect much. What you see is what you get. I went to Macy's and my boyfriend found a shirt he wanted to try on a shirt but there were no dressing rooms! And the dressing room we did find was occupied but the poor man forgot to shut the door (wishful thinking) and was basically changing in front of everyone. And the staff albeit plenty on hand seemed that they rather be on their cellular devices. I mean it's hot in there so i guess that's why they were tired. Basically if you're looking for shoes, a barber or a thot shop then this is the mall for you. And even the thot shops are too expensive! You're better off going to a Rainbow or Citi Trends!! I looked at a very very basic dress and it was 30 bucks! Come on now, that's ridiculous! Also, lots of empty stores and mall desperately in need of a renovation. Sure it does not have all the uber lux stores but the staples are here. Please shop at this mall. It is the only one on the S.Side. I can go to Macy's and Sears anytime and find exactly what I am looking for. Its functioning and in this economy why not keep people in other neighborhoods employed. read more

Southlake mall is not that bad. The have a carousel on their food court and my kids love visiting their pet shop. The have decent stores such as Sears, JCPenney, the children's place, Victoria's Secret, 5-7-9, Aeropostale, Bath Body & Works, Spencer Gifts, Hot Topic, Limited II, New York & Company and Macy's. The variety of stores is decent, it's good if you just have to pick up something quick and light to wear or eat. The food court, is mostly pretty decent and clean. I am a great supporter of my community and with that being said I would like to say I love South lake Mall! Why? because it has survived against all odds. It's sad to place trust and the road to success of other business at the mercy of name brand stores. South Lake Mall is making a statement to these high brand stores " come on small business' we'll lay out the welcome mat, and together we'll make again a strong and thriving retail community." This mall is quiet and intimate, not very big. Not to many great store's but at least they have a Macy's. I have never been here on the weekend so not sure how the crowd is, I do have to say they opened the house of hoops about two month's ago and besides Walter's (Downtown) it is a good spot to go for shoes (sneakers). Went to Macy's at Southlake to hunt down some new fluffy pillows for the bedroom after attempting to find some good replacement deals at the local TJ Maxx and Kohls. Came across a few great finds made by Serta (hey, if a mattress company makes pillows in addition to great mattresses, I'M SOLD!). Glad I made the decision 'cause they turned out great. The Macy's employees are always helpful. I just wish that that mall could get a facelift on the outside. It's appearance is not exactly welcoming and it definitely shows its age these days. read more

Today was the 1st time in 2.5 yrs that I have been in a mall. Due to COVID-19, this mall does not offer / have wheelchairs available. The rep stated "we have no way to keep the chairs clean, so we have them put away". I call B*llSh*t, if the mall can clean floors, toilets, sinks, etc. - they can clean a few wheelchairs daily as well. The Mgmt. just decided to make an ignorant decision to discriminate against people with disabilities. read more

This mall is terrible. I live 5 miles from it and have maybe been here 3 times in the 2 1/2 years I've lived here. Employees are rude at every location. The food court is inedible. It's dark. Not your average mall, my 16 yo son and I were referred here to find eccentric unique inexpensive clothing. He found some deals, but I cannot stress this enough, inspect items before you buy. Try on clothing before you purchase. The mall was clean and neat, busy with all kinds of ethnicities, which I love to see. There are not many places to sit and rest if you are not shopping, so if you see a seat, grab it. There are long lines to check out depending on the store, so patience is something you have to have, or maybe learn, lol. read more

Yooooooooo this mall has no good stores anymore. I use to love this place when I was a teenager but it has since changed. It was never a high end mall but it use to have the normal stuff. I think the most exciting store in this entire mall is Macys. Womp womp. Even the food court sucks ! They have a few Chinese spots, a pizza spot, American deli & some wrap place. They have cheap stores here that remind you of the Instagram boutiques. Plenty of parking here and they have a few jewelry stores. I am from Riverdale. Partially grew up in Clayton. It hurts my heart to see how down the area has become. This mall used to be safe, clean and filled with stores like hello kitty, and not just ethnic stores. I just don't feel safe here anymore. At night it's scary. The ghetto ppl come out yelling and screaming at their kids with their diapers hanging out. Or blasting loud obnoxious music because they think it makes them look cool. Won't be back. read more
